They are always punctual, professional and do very good work.

Village plumber replaced a Moen cartridge without incident. He was very clean and professional. Their work is expensive.

We didn’t use him, but I have used him for plumbing issues before. I have used him for some minor plumbing things and he seemed to be okay. Sometimes they quote for whatever you need, but then they want to sell you all kinds of other stuff. His quote for the air conditioning system was way too high. We got quotes from eight different companies. He also didn’t do some of the things that he should have done. We didn’t realize that till after we had the other company come in. We got the job done in almost half the price of what he had quoted. So, that really put me off to even call him for some basic plumbing stuff. I called him initially when we bought this house in late 2006. We had some issues with some of the toilets leaking and the house wasn’t that old. Their solution was that they could fix the broken pieces, but they gave warranty only for 30 days. If they replaced the entire toilet, they gave warranty for three years. We went ahead and replaced all three toilets. Now from my experience I know that the piece that didn’t function is a plastic part that I could buy from Home Depot for 2 bucks. They really weren’t interested in a common sense solution, just wanted to sell you whatever they could.

They send the same guy every time. Once you get a plumber from them he's your plumber for as long as they employ him. Chris has been our plumber for 3 years. I can call over there and he will do everything from fix the running toilet to everything else. He did all the plumbing in my master bathroom, they come out once a year and check the water heaters and those kinds of things. He's going to do the plumbing job in my guest bathroom. I don't take the time to shop for cheaper prices, I probably could find cheaper prices. I like that they send the same person every time. I know where to find them and they are locally owned. They do a lot of work in the neighborhood. I don't think you get a good deal, but I think you get good quality.

I have had more than 30 years in the contracting business and this is a great company. I would highly recommend them.

He then had my wife sign the service ticket. Upon my review of the ticket when I arrived home I saw that he had put on the ticket that we were releasing them of any liability for the damage. We called Village Plumbing and they finally sent someone out to remove the stove top since it was a hazard due to the shattered glass. After that they would not return any of our calls. I did send an email to the owner. I then got a call from someone to tell me that I would get a call back from someone else when he returned from vacation. That call never came. We had to purchase a new stove top at a cost of more than $1500. We had used Village Plumbing for more than 8 years. The quality of their services had been deteriorating for some time but I always believed they would stand behind their work. I could not have been more wrong.

Overall, the job went very well. They do a great job. They fix the problem the first time around. They clean up after themselves. They call before they come and show up when they say they will. Their pricing is expensive, but it is worth it because I know they will fix the problem right away and I will not have to have them do it over again.

They do a good job and they seem anxious to do business and are good at staying on top of things.

The two technicians from Village Plumbing arrived on time, analyzed the leak and performed the work within two hours.

I like everything about him. They fixed the problem in about five minutes! They were fast, and were really nice. They also had cleaned up after themselves. I would also use them again.

Village Plumbers were very responsive and I was able to arrange for a person to come by the same day I called. The work was performed quickly and with quality. This particular work required a city inspection, which Village Plumbers arranged on my behalf. When the inspector came by, I asked him about the work and his response was "you hired the right company to do your work. They know what they are doing and always do a good job for people." Although I have used in them in the past and know their work is high quality, I have found their prices to be considerably higher than other firms. However, it is nice to know that for certain jobs that require that extra professionalism and quality, a firm like Village Plumbing is available.

This issue was a problem to diagnose, and it took several hours and a call for reinforcements, but Village did the work cheerfully for the estimated price, although it obviously cost them money. As near as I can tell, the problem was accumulated cat liter (which becomes a thick clay when saturated) that spilled in small quantities over the years down the drain of a shower that was used to house the cat's liter box. At any rate, they underestimated the job (I didn't realize what caused the problem either, until some of the substance was brought up in the cleaning process, so I didn't withold information or otherwise deceive the plumbing professional), so it was a bargain for me. Their attitude was professional at all times, they were prompt and punctual, and I was very pleased with their work.

The toilet repair was fine, but expensive. I would never call this company again though.

The fix was expensive, and I question the necessity of the part that was replaced, however, a repairman came to my house on a Saturday morning within one hour of calling. This was the second time that Village Plumbing has come to my house to do a repair and this one reinforced my impression that they would rather choose an expensive replacement than perform an inexpensive fix (the first time they came the repairman wanted to replace my entire kitchen faucet unit rather than repair it - I ended up repairing it myself). They are very reliable, however, and will show up on short notice.

I expected a lower repair fee, but other companies charged more for the initial service call, so the cost probably balanced out in the end. A tenant actually handled the appointment and was there while the repair was made; I was not there. The tenant had not complaints about how the service call was handled.

I was happy with their inspection work.

I called them because my regular plumber doesn’t have a camera that looks inside the pipes for testing. They were very efficient in taking the call and scheduling. I was very specific when I told them that I needed camera work done in my pipe. The plumber came out quickly. I had explained what was happening to the person who came out. He said Village Plumbing didn’t have cameras and told me whom to call. It was actually a service call that wasted my time. The person who answered my call should have said that they didn’t do camera work. I called them on another occasion to tell them that my dryer vent had become loose and that they needed to come with a vent kit. When the person showed up he didn’t have a clue as to why he was even there. The service was fine, but they were a little expensive.

I have used Village Plumbing for plumbing and heating/cooling problems for many years. They have they performed exceptionally well in these areas, and I have given them very good ratings. Recently they have expanded into repairing major appliances. Their primary appliance technician was David. David, like the other Village Plumbing technicians was very good. During a visit where he fixed our washing machine, I had him take a look at a problem with our Thermador stove top. He indicated it could use a new heating element. He ordered a new replacement. Unfortunately, subsequently David was subsequently injured, and after a some delay a new person came to install the new heating element. After the installation, a pilot light remained on. I was informed that it was supposed to stay on, and it was now fixed. I indicated that I thought it was supposed to indicate a hot surface. I was told I was wrong, it indicated that the stove top was connected to an electric source. The technician left. Subsequently, I noted that all the heating elements would turn on when only one switch was turned on. The technician returned and announced that all the switches were burned out, and since the unit was old, they might be difficult to replace. The new technician didn't recall any discussion/problem with the pilot light. I subsequently invited the technician to leave. It would appear that Village Plumbing has expanded beyond its capability level.

Everything was accomplished within three working days.

I have used Village Plumbing several times and have always been very happy with their service. I placed an SOS call at 8am and they were here at 2:30pm the same day. They are punctual and will actually wait if they arrive before you..They bring a door mat to wipe their feet on before entering your home and actually carry paper towels to clean up the inevitable spill or splash. Our home was built in 1926 and has "vintage" plumbing- Nick is a master at finding just the right gasket or fitting to repair the faucet or, as in this case, feed line. I know there are cheaper plumbers out there but we wouldn't call anyone else to keep our creaky plumbing working.

The first time, a guy came out to respond to a question about my washing machine, which was leaving brown spots on my clothing. He cleaned the machine, examined it, and told me it was not worth repairing. I ended up purchasing a new washing machine at his recommendation. The second time, I called for a stopped up bathroom sink. Another technician came out and unstopped the sink, and solved the issue. The third time, I called them for a winter checkup on my furnace system. They recognized that the warm air return was located too closely to my bedroom door, which was causing the cool air to be sucked from my bedroom as quickly as it was blown in. He advised installing an additional warm air return, which I had them do. The work they did was very neat. I have been happy with them overall, and will continue to use them.

They were very responsive and quick. I didn't interact with them, as the work was done on my rental property. They called in to cancel the appointment on the first day, as somebody called in sick. They were then able to schedule for the following day and they came back to finish the work. I didn't get any complains from my tenants as well.

The repairman did not have the part needed to repair the washer. However, he called back in several days as soon as it arrived, just as he said he would. He came promptly the next day, at the scheduled time, and repaired the door.

I have used Village Plumbing in the past with prior, positive reports. With family visiting, the shower regulator on the guest bathtub fell off. This had happened on my boys' tub six months prior. Since they do not stock my finish, the replacement came (for free) from the manufacturer (which took one month, but my boys only take baths), and I only had to pay labor for the replacement of the faucet. (I was told that time and this time that the knob/regulator could not be fixed.) Immediate appts were not available --and my finish is not in stock -- so while talking with the technician on the phone about my options to get my in-laws a shower without them climbing the stairs, it was settled that I'd find the appropriate faucet/finish at a local store and Village Plumbing would replace the broken faucet. While at the various stores looking for the replacement, I was told by several salesmen that repair kits are available. I then went to the Village Plumbing showroom on Kirby to figure out what was going on (since I'm obviously not very handy and was very confused.) After a decently long conversation, I was told that Village Plumbing does not make repairs to plumbing; they only replace items because if they make repairs that then fail again, the plumbers have to redo the repair at no cost and they don't make money on those re-repairs. So, we bought a repair kit for under $20 (rather than several hundred for a new faucet plus the labor charge from Village Plumbing), my in-laws were grateful to take showers, and we felt reasonably handy.
