Description of Work: Had the drainage cleaned out.

Description of Work: They made repairs recommended during home inspection, but afterwards many other things began to fail. They would not resolve these other issues.

Description of Work: Village Plumbing charged me $800 to fix a leak in my garage apartment. The leak was showing up on the garage wall below the apartment. Six month later when I sold the house, I took a financial hit because the leak had never really been fixed so part of the garage wall had to be torn into for further repair. The original price Village charged was excessive but then to not do the work correctly causing more damage was even worse. I gave them a D and not an F because they have done other work for me before which was done fine but they are always very pricey.

Description of Work: They replaced our 22 year old hot water heater. They did a great job and we are very happy with their service.

Description of Work: Called to have repairs performed in a rental property I own. Have used them numerous times over the years primarily for plumbing problems and was very satisfied. This time I had two problems. The line for ice maker in refrigerator was leaking and the garbage disposal was not working. Two different technicians came; one for each problem. In both instances I felt pressured to replace the item (which they would be happy to sell me at a "great" price) rather than fix the problem. If I wanted to buy a new refrigerator and disposal I would not have called to have them REPAIRED! I will NOT use Village Plumbing again! Update: The technician told me the ice maker would not be operable. My tenant informed me the ice maker works just fine. Go figure!

Description of Work: The washing machine stopped working and would not drain. When I made the appointment, I made it clear that I could not be home until 3:30 at the earliest, so appointment was made for 2 days later with techinician to arrive between 3:30 and 6:00 pm, On day of appointment, company phoned me at work (1:00 pm) to see if I could be home earlier so technician would not get "stuck in Houston rush hour traffic."Totally unprofessional!! The appointment should be convenient for customer, not technician. To make matters worse, I was told the technician would phone me when he was on his way, and instead he phoned me at 3:00 pm and said "I'm at the front door." When I told him I was still at work and the earliest I could be there was 15 mins., he said, "okay, I'll wait for awhile." In addition, cost of small part to repair washer was very high...$225.00.

Description of Work: Came out on time to give a quote, but would not give me a copy of the estimate. It was a cluster and professionalism seemed missing. Why a copy of the estimate couldn't be left is beyond me. I did not feel comfortable that they were being honest.

Description of Work: My clothes dryer went out, of course, as I had a Wednesday wash day ahead of me, with about 12 loads lined up. The dryer wasn't heating at all, just going around and around! I went to Angie's list and had the first available company come out. Within the hour, a technician was in the area. They came out, did a diagnostic on the dryer, determined it was a burned out plug connection, went to the parts store, picked it up, re-placed the plug, and I was back up and running within 2 hours! I am definitely calling these guys the next time something goes out!! The technician was very polite, neat, and explained to me exactly the problem.
