Both Ricky and Dandre were fantastic- very knowledgeable, friendly, care about their work. They even worked through lunch to finish the job .I've dealt with a lot of contractors over the years, and these two rank with the best.

Larry T. came out because the lights were flickering in our home. I showed him the kitchen lights because they were really dim and did the most flickering. He went in and looked at our GF Panel and provided me with three quotes to upgrade. He answered all of my questions and was really personable.

Chris C came because our washing machine was spewing water on the rinse cycle. I tried to snake the lines myself but was not able to reach the blockage. Chris came in and snaked the line and ran a wash cycle to make sure that the line was clear of the blockage. He was very personable and gave provided us with other options with what we could have done and the price before he started the work.

The work was done by a young man who was professional, knowledgeable and a customer service standout.

This company ripped us off. They asked more than double ($6,500) than what other companies charge to replace our home AC. I decided not to replace it and just have a tune up. They made it sound that the tuneup is a hard job and that would take 45 minutes. All they did was to take out the old capacitor and put a new one (new capacitor price in the market is $60). The capacitor is located in the compressor outside the house, and you need only a screw driver to take the lid out. It is a very easy job to connect the capacitor (probably 30 seconds job). The Universal Home Experts technician "worked" for the tuneup for less than 10 minutes and they charged us $687 dollars. If they had told me this is the only thing that needed to be replaced I would have done it myself. They lied to us and they ripped us off. Shame...

I expected an onsite visit and had one scheduled. An hour after the scheduled appointment, someone called me (Ed?) to give me a quote over the phone after looking at the property on google maps. The range was between 4 and 5 thousand. There was no onsite visit. They were incredibly disorganized with calls back and forth to me. Ed was condescending during our phone call. I can easily see how these folks would dupe people. I wouldn't touch this business with a ten foot pole. They prey on stupid people. Don't be one of them.

It took time to isolate the problem as the GFI controls plug power to other bathrooms. But Brett got it done. My husband said Brett is the only electrician he authorizes to work in our home.

It went very well. Universal responded quickly to our needs and very professionally. Nick immediately identified the problem and had the necessary parts to fix the issue. Nick was very professional and self confident in his abilities. Service seemed pricey but I have nothing to compare with at the time service was rendered since it was an emergency and done after hours.

I was upsold on a surge-suppression for the house. The work was completed as presented but the price, as it turns out was about 4x what it should have cost.

RIP OFF. Be CERTAIN to get a verbal estimate from Universal over the phone! iIt's a bait & switch on low $59 trip fee (which is to walk in your door). Touching anything is an additional “diagnostic fee”. I got 3 bids from Angie’s List plumbing companies. Each said it would be $100-150 trip/labor + parts ($175-200). Simple faucet on a counter top (not inside a shower wall, which we previously paid $175 total to fix with someone else). Summary: Universal wanted $300 + parts, just to swap out the Moen canister. $488! To simply install a new, *customer provided, faucet…. And $788.00 to grab one off the truck and install it. The girl who answered the phone, and the Tech Nick, were both VERY nice. But BE AWARE, the COMPANY’S prices are egregious, in my opinion, based on other reputable companies on Angies list and local. Note to mgmt. Quit with the shady slight of hand and give a fair low/high estimate over the phone. You wasted a day of my time and $60 bucks.
