They were good. He was polite and he did the work well. He explained what needed to be done and they did a decent job.

Very smooth process. The appointment was arranged and the technician was on time. They had to make some changes in the electrical box because we have an older house but that was easily done. We used to have power blips during every thunderstorm but that has mostly gone away since the install. Of course it doesn't prevent blips that happen when the power in the neighborhood is affected but it has reduced the local blips in the house that cause the computer UPSs to trip, etc. If you have a lot of electrical equipment (computer or audio) this is good peace of mind.

I haven't had any issues with their work at all, although the price does seem a little high and they're always offering to replace things that they say might go wrong. I just ignore most of it in favor of waiting until there is a problem unless it's a safety hazard. Overall, they've been very professional and extremely competent. I just don't have any way to compare their prices for the work. It seems expensive to me, but I've had less expensive contractors out for this kind of work and they've done a bad job, so I'd certainly hire these people and recommend them.

Ryan B. was excellent. Very friendly and knowledgeable about the electrical issue we were having in our home. The work was reasonable and completed very quickly.

He was extremely knowledgable and performed the work well. But then, after finding some more issues that were some concern, it quickly grew into a multi-thousand dollar estimate for repairing every issue. I felt that even though this was delivered with upmost professionalism and extreme expert knowledge - I still felt like all the repairs he suggested were extreme. So I havent done any others. Would consider using them for isolated issues in the future.

Company called me last month to schedule visit. The original appointment was canceled by the company because it was too cold to do a good check. I worked them to reschedule at a good time for me. They called me the day before to confirm appointment. Said technician would be out in the morning between 8 and 9. Jesus Arteaga came right on time. Was courteous, neat, and very efficient. Did everything necessary. I am very comfortable with his work. Will continue with the contract with this company for next year

I received service within 2 hours of my call, on a Friday, nonetheless! Technician was in uniform, drove a company vehicle, so was easy to identify him when he arrived. He was efficient, and informed me ahead of time, each step of checking on working parts and then replacement. Cost was very reasonable! I will be using Universal again!

The service was great. My electrician was Josh. He was professional and polite and explained his findings and resolutions in detail as he went through the work. He was very thorough and completed the work timely. I was provided a few options in pricing before the work was started, all based on a flat rate which was good; no hidden fees.

GILBERT OF UNIVERSAL HOME REPLACED THE MAIN PANEL AND ADDED A SURGE-PROTECTOR, SECURED THE METER AND GROUNDED IT, ALL THE OUTLETS AND SWITCHES WERE REPLACED AND PROPER GFI OUTLETS WERE INSTALLED AS NEEDED. THE WIRING THAT THE PREVIOUS HOMEOWNER DID HIMSELF WAS BROUGHT TO CODE AND THE DANGEROUS ISSUE UNDER THE COOKTOP IN THE KITCHEN WHERE AN OUTLET RATED FOR 220 WAS DISCONNECTED AND LIVE WIRES WERE LEFT UNPROTECTED WAS RESOLVED. THIS ELIMINATED THE FIRE AND ELECTROCUTION HAZARD. GILBERT AND HIS CREW OF ONE GUY (HIS NAME ESCAPES ME) DID AN EXCEPTIONAL JOB FINDING ALL THE ISSUES AND DISPATCHING ALL THE ELECTRICAL INCONSISTENCIES. GILBERT IS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND PROFESSIONAL IN HIS DEMEANOR, AND AN EXTREMELY HARD WORKER, VERY CONSCIENTIOUS WITH THE QUALITY OF HIS WORK. UNIVERSAL HOME TRULY GETS THE BEST PEOPLE. THEY ARE A BIT EXPENSIVE BUT YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.

It was fine. They showed up on time. They got the job done in about an hour. The scheduling was easy.

They did a great job and were very good to deal with. They also installed a new system in a rental property I owned and they did a great job there as well. I would recommend them with no hesitation.

Extremely professional. Gave options for work. Not pushy-explained and showed what needed to be done. We will use Luis Macias and Gilbert in the future.

Ryan B was an excellent help and easily identified the issue and was able to replace the switch on the spot. Would definitely recommend as the company was extremely helpful on the phone, provided great service, and promptly fixed the issue.

David was the service person and was very professional, and able to diagnose problem and repair it. The electrical receptacle behind the dishwasher was defective and needed to be replaced. This diagnosis and repair was accomplished in 1-1.5 hours. My only negative comment was the price. $450 to replace a receptacle was very excessive. $300 of that was to pull the dishwasher out from the base cabinet (2 screws and simply pulling it out - 5 minutes). I will try another electrician in the future.

Joshua and Mike were great. Installed everything as ordered on original contact. They cleaned up after the installation and I will be calling them back to do some more work soon. My home was over 30 years old with orginal electrical wiring.

Our phone service was down, but AT&T insisted that they were delivering phone service to our home. We called Universal Home Experts out to get us going again. Ryan Brady, a UHE Technician came out and performed a thorough inspection and determined that the wiring where AT&T delivered signal to our home had been disconnected on our side of the interface and reconnected it. The entire experience was professional from start to finish. I would definitely recommend UHE and it was a pleasure to work with Ryan! D. Hicks

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and it was fine. He did a normal inspection and made a few recommendations of things to do. It was fine from what I can remember, it was several years ago. The recommendations he made would have cost more, but I decided not to do them. It was a Big Deal price so it was excellent.

When they left, we didn’t have power in that part of the house still. We had another service provider come out and look at it and they said the work that was done by Universal was not the correct. I wasn’t pleased, but they were cordial and nice. The work was incorrect and they charged us.
