Two Brothers Foundation Repair

I called Two Brothers Foundation Repair because I needed some foundation work done at my house. Aaron Lipman answered the phone and he arranged to come by my home the same week. After getting quotes from several foundation companies, his was not the cheapest, but also not the most expensive. It was actually a reasonable price considering the work that had to be done. To his credit, he was very patient with me as we worked through my schedule. He started on time and finished on time. His workers worked very hard every day they were there, I was impressed. Aaron also checked in or called me every day to make sure I didn't have any questions. One of his workers, Guillermo, has many years experience doing foundation work. After the work was finished, they cleaned up everything and you could hardly tell they were there. Aaron and I met and he explained the warranty to me and reassured me that they stand behind it. I will be calling Two Brothers back if I ever need them in another house and I would definitely recommend them.

Aaron has such patience. He would constantly answer all our endless questions and follow-up with us. For that, we truly appreciate. His crew and supervisor were friendly. They finished ahead of schedule--in 3 days. Everything looks great--cleaned up the mess. We would definitely recommend them to our friends for great customer service and quality work.

The job went smoothly and as promised. The work areas were restored nicely to original. Communication was continuous and very good throughout the entire project. In addition, Two Brothers accommodated some specific concerns that I had about the job as well as my schedule.

The job was done in one day the owner Aaron was very professional honest and easy to talk too. I have already recommended they to the neighbors through nextdoor.

I purchased the foundation inspection online. Scheduling the appointment was efficient. Aaron showed up on time to performed the inspection. The entire process took less than an hour. He was honest and shared the good and the bad. I highly recommend.

Communication with Aaron was superb; he showed up on time and performed an thorough inspection of our foundation. Our foundation was in acceptable shape and did not recommend any further work other than routine maintenance and attention to potential problem areas -- he did not try to up-sell us on any unnecessary work or superfluous services. He was very professiona and, friendly and conducted his work in a timely manner. I would definitely recommend him for any work and if we should need it in the future, we will be going to him for any foundation work.

We recently purchased a new home knowing that the foundation could use some work - it had obvious settling in the past and some signs of possibly more recent settling. We got quotes from several foundation repair companies and Two Brothers was lower than the others. At the same time, they made us the most comfortable during the discussions as to what they recommended and why. We ultimately went with Two Brothers and were very pleased with the work. They put together a schedule and, although some things they found in the yard once they got started produced what should have been set backs, they were able to stick to their schedule. They were very knowledgeable of the work they were doing and kept us informed each day. I would definitely recommend Two Brothers in the future for foundation needs.

Contacted Aaron Lipman twice and he returned my call. Discussed job and issues and he was unsure about whether it was a foundation problem......told him I would send him some pictures.....he said, ok, to the cell n7mber we were talking on.......sent pictures right away......server all hours went by and sent another text message asking what he thought? He responded “ who is this?”. I explained I was the person he spoke to earlier and was asked to send pictures.......heard nothing else from him. Did some more digging on Angie’s List and think I need a Concrete Leveler, not foundation repair......but wish his experience would have helped me make that determination. Hopefully, I’m on the right track now.

Very thorough elevation test resulted in “within tolerance” and “no work required” diagnosis. This is highly unusual, and it leads to a different level of credibility for the company especially after thoroughly explaining what he was doing throughout the inspection. This would lead me to start with this firm in the future for any foundation issues. Definitely have them give you an estimate!

I was concerned about my foundation based on some visible signs in my home. I looked through reviews and called Two Brothers. They were able to schedule a visit to come out within a couple of days and arrived as scheduled. Aaron was the one who performed the inspection. He was very upfront and explained exactly what was going on with my house. He provided me with a list of recommendations. I appreciated the fact that he was willing to answer all of my questions and allay my concerns. I would recommend them and have already mentioned them to friends.

Two Brothers Were Terrific Walking into my daughter’s bedroom felt like entering a funhouse at an amusement park. That’s how slanted it was. Windows and the door didn’t close. Until Two Brothers set me straight, I lived in a crooked little house. One could see it leaning from the street. Even bricks were popping out. And a brick wall actually moved when pushed! Now everything closes smoothly and the floor is level again. Two Brothers did a fabulous thorough job at a very reasonable cost. My foundation shifted due to the drought of 2011. In 2013 Olshan was working next door. I invited their guy over and he said, without even measuring, that raising my foundation would cost around $25,000! “See the direction that crack runs? That means you have serious problems.” Gulp! My serious problems remained static until Harvey came along. We flooded and couldn’t fix our floors and walls until we repaired our foundation. Expecting the worst, I commissioned five bids from highly rated companies on Angie’s list. Bids ranged from $3660 to $14,400. Aaron Lipman, one of the two brothers, presented the most compelling, professional, and understandable solution. He’s a class act. Aaron said only the left corner of my house was crooked. The rest was OK. Another contractor tried convincing me the entire house needed to be jacked up. Another wanted to install piers under my living room. Aaron said that was unnecessary since the problem was on the side of our home, not in the middle. He clearly explained why putting in those extra piers could cause new problems. Our slanted bedroom was off center by five inches. Aaron sketched where the piers would go. He’d begin at the front door and then head east, turn the corner, and then jack up the entire east side. The work was fascinating and proceeded surprisingly quickly and professionally. When they hit a snag with my pool equipment, they just tunneled beneath it. What was initially mysterious and bewildering became understandable as I watched the piers disappear into the mucky clay soil. They applied up to 8,000 pounds of force per square inch ensuring the piers were tight. Then they placed hydraulic jacks on top of a flat cement cap placed on the last pier. Piers are made from cement, cylindrical, and close to a foot long. They are stacked until the column of piers reaches the surface and will no longer move downwards. Installing 14-16 cylindrical piers is common. Since the piers had nowhere to go, the house inched upwards. Inside it felt like quick earthquake tremors. Aaron’s team was very professional, efficient, and neat. Guillermo, the supervisor, was knowledgeable and answered all my questions. Aaron stopped by daily. He has an eclectic background. His parents are classical musicians who also own Eagle Foundation Repair in Corpus Christi, TX. That’s where Aaron learned the business. He also worked for a talent agency in Hollywood and on Wall Street. When he tired of the corporate world, he leveraged what he learned from his parents’ foundation business and set up shop in Houston. I enthusiastically recommend Two Brothers. They are a small but highly experienced family run business. Hence customers receive personalized service from the owners. Repairing your foundation is a big investment. By putting your repairs in the capable hands of Two Brothers, things will definitely straighten out.

Aaron was extremely professional and responsive, and his crew did a great job. I got four quotes for foundation work (which we knew we needed) after our house was flooded during Harvey. Two Brothers was one of the three companies that did a thorough hour-long inspection with proper instruments; those three companies largely agreed in their diagnoses and recommendations. Two of those companies made financially competitive bids. The other company could do nothing for more than a month; Aaron worked with his non-flood clients to ensure that those, like us, who had been flooded could get work done without holding up other repairs and our return home. He managed to fit us into the schedule the week after we signed the contract. The work took 3 days; the foundation has perceptibly been leveled as required; they did a great cleanup job afterwards too. I was very satisfied and highly recommend them.

Work was done and crew arrived on time. They knew exactly what to do and the best way to fix it! The crew foreman was honest and answered every question I had about foundation problem! Aaron (one of the owners) also came by to look at how the work was progressing. They were very careful about taking care that my indoor walls and doors were minimally affected. I even had several wall cracks and gaps in the fireplace move back together again. A few tiny cracks or lines appeared in the Sheetrock but they were barely visible. I was very pleased with their work

The original company recommended extensive work to shore up the rest of the foundation that was not previously done. A second company also gave an estimate that did not match what the original company recommended. I called Aaron and Two Brothers to get a third recommendation. Aaron promptly returned all my calls and answered all my questions. He set up an appointment and was on time. He even put up with my puppy following him around! He explained the results of the measurements, and recommended no work be done at this time. He conceded that at some point in the future, work would probably be needed, but he would wait as right now it is a minor issue. Two Brothers is a smaller company, but I appreciated Aaron's honesty and reliability, and I will be calling him when I need the work done.

I thought I needed foundation repair. Contacted Two Brothers through Angies List. Aaron was punctual, polite and extremely professional. He measured our home and advised me to keep a close eye on a very small minor area. I was so relieved when Aaron told me that repairs aren't needed. Thank you again Aaron for your honesty. If we ever need any foundation done Aaron will be the first one we will contact. Highly recommend!!!

I contacted Two Brothers to get a quote for repairing my foundation. Aaron came to the property, did the measurements and strongly suggested not performing the work as he felt it was not needed. This was unlike very confusing information received from two other contractors. His reasoning was sound and I appreciated the honesty.

Excellent service! We were amazed that the work done corrected the area where our bricks were separating on the front porch. The crew was very conscientious and took care to preserve the root ball on all the plants that needed moved and then planted every plant back where it was.

Extremely Well. I called Aaron last week. He immediately arranged an appointment at our convenience. He called to confirm the appointment before arriving, He got here as arranged and immediately began a professional assessment of our situation. His thorough examination of the house exterior disclosed a minor problem (non foundation) which we were not aware of. He then inspected the house interior utilizing the most modern, accurate measuring device. Aaron then sat down with us to discuss his findings which were fully documented for future use. All questions were completely answered with much needed explanations for which we were grateful. Aaron confirmed the foundation was not a problem NOW but would be LATER absent certain corrective actions. We appreciated Aaron's thoughtfulness, directness and patience with us particularly since his visit was at no cost and there was no financial gain for him or his company. As elderly people, we are more and more appreciative of young people like Aaron who can look potential customers in the face while being transparent and totally honest. These traits of character are rare commodities. This is the kind of company and person we seek for all our business needs.

I got an estimate to repair my foundation. They were professional and came at the scheduled time. I may hire them if I decide to have the work done.
