He kept changing the time that he would come out, pushing it back he said due to being on a job site. After the difficulty in communication, I decided to forget about it. He said he was a professional, so he could do the estimate by phone.

It took a little while to find a day to do the job, but once he came he did a great job. The room looks great, and he cleaned everything up and replaced the furniture. He even got me a discount on the paint and used his own primer.

I requested bids from 3 companies. Steve was finishing another job and asked me to wait a few days until he could come. On the appointed day, he was there right on time. He gave us the estimate on the spot, including whole house pressure and painting the garage door, metal chimney and other stuff on the roof (not included in other bids). He started promptly on the day we agreed to and finished as promised. He did an amazing job squaring up corners, patching and replacing wood. The front siding was no longer available, so he saved time and money by coming up with a different solution that looks terrific. We are putting our house on the market in the next few weeks and we weren't too picky about details, but Steve was. I cannot say how delighted I am with the quality of workmanship, care of cleaning up and just what a great guy Steve is. He was more than patient with our incessantly barking dachshund. I will hire him again in a heart beat.

Steve performed a great job for us personally. He did not use any subs. His workmanship is great and he updated me with the progress all the time. We will use him again in the future.

Called Steve and he came out to the house so I could show him what I wanted done. He looked at everything very quickly (too quickly) and then called someone he knew for a price on baseboards. His verbal quote for the job was $1200 and asked if I could pick up the paint, which I was more than willing to do. I had already purchased the wainscoting and had it here at the house. On the first day he asked for a check for $150 to buy the baseboards, which I gave him. He wrote nothing down and, looking back on this, I should have asked for everything in writing. There were three different colors being used for all of the painting and I would think that you would write down which colors go on what, just to keep everything straight. As it turned out, he painted the kitchen the wrong color and when I brought it to his attention, he got really bent out of shape. It was my kitchen and my money being spent, but that temper of his really took over. He repainted the wall but with great attitude and a lot of mumbling. On Friday, after finishing up, I wrote him a check for $1050 which I thought was the balance I owed after paying the $150 before for the baseboards. Oh no, he again corrected me. The $1200 was for labor only. Again, nothing in writing, so I made out another check to replace that unacceptable one. After he left, I took my time and checked out the finished paint job. It was so bad in some areas that I ended up repainting about 40% of the entire job. The inside of a utility room closet has no baseboards and the door wasn't even painted. I wasn't going to call him up and ask that he come back...NO WAY. It took 5 days to complete this job with two men working. It could have been finished a lot sooner if they had started working before 10:30 AM each day and had actually worked past 3:30 PM (which they did on two occasions). Steve really loves outside painting and doesn't care much for the indoor jobs. Trust me, it shows!

He was honest with me in saying he couldn't handle the job - I was really impressed that he was so prompt and courteous.

Steve and his team were extremely nice and professional while working at the house. They came when they said they would, kept me posted when rain delayed some of the repairs and cleaned up when they were through each day. Very professional. I will call Steve again if repairs are needed.

He started and completed the work on time. He cleaned up after the work was done every day (over three to four days). I had been referred to him from another company on the list that didn't service my area. I'm even getting ready to use him again for some more work.
