Mario and his team did an amazing job. I was very nervous because they had only done fencing work for us, but they did such a great job on that, I thought it was worth a try. This was a very difficult job because it was a bit exploratory. They did a better job of repairing the garage than was done building it in the first place! They also added a concrete weir to protect the bottom of the framing without even being asked.

Showed up on time. Understood situation and my desire to use existing fence to extent feasible. Proposed solution was exactly as I would have done it. Cost and time estimates were very attractive (posts in tomorrow and fence in the day after that), and that is what they did. Workers were on time, quiet, efficient, effective, clean and polite. Finished work is such that it appears the fence was never damaged. All was reviewed prior to payment and their departure. Turner was dramatically different from 2 other companies, also from Angie's list. Both the others suggested replacing the entire 170 ft of fence even tho only ~60 ft was damaged ("It won't look good." at 23 - 25 $/ft. "No, it just wouldn't work to try to use that old fence; it would cost more than a replacement.") Turner is to be commended for their honest, pragmatic approach. The other two should be ashamed for their blatant disregard of my requests, and their suggestions to replace 110 ft of fence that was in good condition.

His bid was higher than the one I chose to go with. They were very professional. He gave a very detailed quote. I have called him to quote other work for me.

The price and time period were right on target. They did good work, but the workers smoked outside my garage and left cigarette butts everywhere.

Steve was very professional and gave us a great estimate. He was the only fencing company to give us an estimate in a timely manner after Ike. Mario did an excellent job replacing the old fence. They were all prompt and worked the job until completion. It took a total of four and half days, starting with the tear-down on the first day. Mario was meticulous in the design of the fence, following snap lines exactly and making sure everything lined up. He was able to work around impenging trees, land grades, sprinkler pipes, and roots. He even accomodated for the fact that our garage is not vertical when he built the attached gate. This fence is higher quality than the one it replaced, and that one lasted 30 years. They worked dilligently every day from 8am until dark. When they encountered difficulties or problems, they told us immediately. When they made a measurement mistake, they pulled it apart and rebuilt the necessary area without being asked. All this was done in a friendly and professional manner. Replacement of a fence can be rough on nearby landscaping, so some was damaged, but this is expected with such a large job.

We chose Steve because of his excellent Angie's List reports. He was at first hesitant to do the work; this was a larger job than he has usually taken on and in a part of town outside his usual bailiwick. But after looking at the house, he was apparently impressed enough with the possibilities of producing a good-looking product to undertake the work. He pronounced it a "good job," and set about scheduling it. He was, of course, exceptionally busy during the after-Ike repair boom in Houston, but he managed to book us in a few weeks. We were grateful. A few days before work was to begin, he and his crew boss walked through the house with us to identify work that was needed and unusual problems that might show up. His five-man crew arrived on the appointed day, after calling to let us know that heavy traffic was going to make them a few minutes late. They began work at once. They were careful, clean, and courteous, and apparently enjoyed their work. They were promptly on time every day thereafter. We were still living in the house, so it was necessary that we stay out of each other's way, and that we could stay ahead of their progress in removing paintings and art objects we thought deserved special handling. They moved or carefully covered all other furniture, objects, fixtures, carpets, and tile that could be damaged by plaster or paint. The final product was entirely satisfactory. However, along the way, there were several things that somewhat diminished the result. In a job of this size it is probably inevitable that some things that need to be painted aren't. Steve showed up several times during the process to walk through and identify problems of this sort; but unfortunately all of these things didn't get corrected, even after Steve's instructions. The last touch up was done with the wrong color of paint. We were able to solve all of this later, with paint Steve provided. He indeed offered to have his crew return to make the last adjustments, but another pattern of behavior that surfaced made us eager to do the final work ourselves. It should not be the case that things are damaged without notifying the homeowner, but our step ladder which was borrowed was bent without telling us; the bottom of a bedroom chest was chipped, and we were not told; the lens cover on the garage door opener was broken, without notifying us; the clothes dryer was dented and bent, again without notification. Accidents happen, to be sure, but it is troublesome that these accidents were not reported. Fortunately we discovered and could repair all these things. What we could not fix was the bathroom wallpaper that was ruined in the process of trying to clean a smear of paint. We were fortunate to find a wallpaper expert who could do it. This repair Steve agreed to pay for, and did. He is an honest man who tries to make things right, and we appreciate that attitude. But a bit more care in training, instructing, and supervising his workers might prevent such problems.

Steve was quick to return phone calls and explained what was happening in terms of scheduling. He listened to a description of the job over the phone and gave an estimate pending a visual. He schedule the job quickly. Unfortunately, he was sick over the weekend and had to reschedule (normally not a big thing, but we got the call a bit after he was supposed to be here). For the reschedule, he was here on time and did the work quickly and as expected. Some minor things need to be fixed and may be due to misunderstanding. Overall, very happy (and I have high standards) and we've asked him to provide an estimate for some additional work. Would willingly recommend him. We found him on Angie's List. This site is very helpful!

I called Turner Enterprises and Steve Turner answered and gave a quote over the phone. He was able to start the work within a couple of days. It was completed in a day and a half. The work was great. The men took excellent care to not spill or splatter paint and did a very nice job. We will definitely use this company going forward.

I called and left a voicemail about 6 weeks ago and I never got a call back.

The workers (Mario and his helper) were great. They called as they were coming, arrived on time, worked through driving rain and did more than was required in terms of repairing sagging places. They also replaced the broken latch on the gate.

Overall, the experience was fantastic. It took a few days to coordinate schedules, but once Steve and I were able to set dates and expectations, he and his crew lived up to every representation and my house looks amazing inside.

They did a really good job considering the way the fence needed to be installed. My only problem was they increased the price after they finished the work. I also felt they lacked a little bit of professionalism in their manners. Otherwise, everyone was nice and friendly. They also got the job done quickly.

We initially contacted Steve a couple of weeks before Hurricane Ike for an estimate. Of the handful of contractors we considered, he was the only one to respond after the storm. In fact, he even contacted us only a couple of days after the storm, despite pending concerns with his own residence. He mentioned that he was taking care of his "pre-Ike" customers first. We found this especially attractive, given the fact that many contractors would have ignored previous prospects in an effort to profit from storm damage. The work began about a week after Ike. Other than a couple of minor scheduling glitches(mostly due to rain)the work was done in a timely, attentive manner. And in the cases of any delays, Steve promptly gave us a call, responded to our inquiries and stayed on-top of the job's progress. The crew's attention to detailed prep-work was impressive. In fact, the vast majority of their time was spent repairing rotted wood, scraping, washing, sealing, caulking, priming, etc. After all this, the painting itself was pretty much a no-brainer. As they say with any paint job, prep work is the key to a quality final product. Steve's crew opened a few "painted-shut" windows which had been sealed for several years and also pressure-washed our decks and front steps. Steve matched our existing colors with no problems, and even made a few trim-paint suggestions which have enhanced the house's overall look. Perhaps the most impressive part of the job was what Steve's crew did on our front porch. We have a 1920's bungalow with a large front porch, with wood slats/decking. The deck paint they applied looks incredible, and seems as though it will endure for many years to come. They even painted the front porch swing. Finally, Steve was always approachable, accessible and honest. In the event something (very minor, in our case) didn't go precisely as planned, he was "up-front," and worked to find a satisfactory solution.

He was very good. He has excellent communication skills, he would call us and talk to us while the job was going on to check on his workers. He stayed in touch constantly and he was very easy to deal with. He was very attentive with the scheduling process.

We called several people from the list, but none had time to even provide an estimate. Turner Enterprises came and made an estimate the next day, and performed the emergency repairs immediately. I am glad they did the work and look forward to them coming and finishing the total job. Since they were so efficient in helping us, I appreciate the fact that they have other customers from this natural disaster.

Steve was responsive to calls and kept in contact through the whole process. He was willing to go with a type of paint he was not as familiar with (Lifemaster low voc). We chose this due to sensitivity to paint fumes and also moving in the day after the painting was done. We were very pleased there was no paint smell. The interior painting was very well done. Steve also gave us a quote for other work that we are considering doing.

We had two different bids we decided to go with the lower bid He hasn't come over to do the job yet. I found him on angies list and he had good ratings.

Steve and his crew were very careful and worked hard to please us. They kept us informed as the work progressed and were always responsive to our concerns. The work was completed in a timely fashion. The quality of the work was excellent and the crew was very professional.

He was very reliable as far as promptness and the work being great. He did exactly what we wanted in our home. The clean up was great we had to do no work.

Steve responded to initial call within 24 hours and provided estimate soon thereafter. Scheduling exact day took some time, but everything came together the week I needed the work done. Initial estimate went up $100 after the painters saw the sheetrock work. I purchased the paint. The rooms were prepped very well with tape and tarps. They carefully moved the furniture. The painters were very friendly and professional. I felt they were very respectful of my family and my home. Only complaint was punctuality. They usually arrived an hour after the time window committed the previous day. It was a reasonable trade off for the great painting quality, sheetrock repair and cleaning up all debris and dust. I will use Turner Enterprises for other painting jobs and will recommend to friends.

They did what they said they would do. It was well worth the price. They also got the job done in the time they said they would. They were also very responsive in the work they performed.

Excellent service from Steve. Phone calls returned promptly and a competitive quote. The job was done quickly and efficiently by his sidekick, Angel. Steve fixed the dry rot by replacing a section of one post - when it was done we couldn't even see the join.

Called to schedule an appointment for an estimate, and Mr. Turner came out that day. One of his crew, Angel, started job a couple of days later, and finished in three days. Did an excellent job painting and smoothing over some of the rough spots from previous work.
