Steve answered phone calls promptly and delivered exactly what he said he would. The project, including two story walls and ceiling in the staircase, was done on time and in the quoted price. Steve even threw in an extra at no request and touched up a few of our painted kitchen drawers at no extra cost. We have all had some good and some bad experiences with work done on our houses and I must say that even though I had a good feeling about this project, and I am very insistant on straight, clean, crisp lines, it actually exceeded my expectations. We have future projects planned with Steve and only expect the best.

Excellent responsiveness and service. He kept in touch twice daily while doing the work to assure we were all in agreement on the small details.

Mr. Turner came out looked over the details that we wanted completed quickly. He gave us a quote, we hired him, work started when he said it would (2 days later). He came out and inspected the job when the workers were finished. Overall we are very pleased with his work.

Can't rate a company that makes no effort to communicate.

The job whent better than expected. Steve and crew did a great job and I think this is the best paint job our house has ever had in 50+ years. Thanks Turner Ent. for doing what you said you would do!

The crew was well trained in sheetrock work, texturing and painting; Steve is in constant contact by phone to check in--this is good. The crew had insufficient tools to complete the job and I had to loan them some of mine. The crew struggled hanging the doors but after 2-3 hours they got it right.

Steve responded promptly to my request for an estimate, which was much lower than the others I had received. He was very pleasant but extremely busy and unable to get to the job right away. To help me out, he sent two men to make the repairs and do the touch -up painting. They came when promised and spent a great deal of time doing the repair. They had to match the ceiling texture and did a good job. However, their paint match was not particularly good. Steve followed up with a phone call and came over himself to observe. He then promised to send his lead man to redo the paint job. The painting was done about a week later and it looks very nice. There was no additional charge for the additional painting. Overall, I am very pleased with the work and the price. I will call Steve again when I need painting done.

Steve was able to come over on a weekend afternoon to do the estimate. We set a general date range for the work to be performed in. The work took one-and-a-half days and I am extremely pleased with the results. Steve was very responsive and kept me in the loop at all times as far as what went on. He personally returned after the work was completed to inspect it make sure I was happy with the results. I would absolutely recommend his company for this type of work in the future.

Steve was extremely accommodating, especially when our group was taking a very long time to lock down the colors we wanted to use. Very easy to reach and kept us up to date on the project.

Our home was in serious need of exterior wood repair and repainting. Steve was very conscientious in meeting with me and providing a timely and reasonable estimate. We corresponded several times over the phone, email, and in-person to further define the work. In the process, he came up with several suggestions that I felt were better than what my wife and I were imagining. The work began on time with two of his workers. In general, they worked conscientiously and competently through the carpentry, preparation, painting, and finishing phases. They also maintained a clean work environment throughout the project. At one point when it appeared the work was almost done and my wife and I were preparing a punch list of minor items to touch up, Steve was not satisfied with how several large portions appeared and had his men repaint the areas. This was beyond what we anticipated, but did contributed to an excellent appearance. During the painting process, Steve also agreed to stain a bench, and he volunteered to paint the chimney pipes that could be painted. These were not included in our original discussions. Steve came over on the final day with one of the painters to complete the punch list, and Steve and the painter finished the work very quickly and much to our satisfation. Again during this final session, Steve noticed some sections that he felt should look better, and he and his painter redid them before the job was considered complete. Steve has an excellent grasp on the painting business and a very good working relationship with his men. The men were also very good, very conscientious, and very friendly. Steve clearly wants to please his clients, came out several times to meet with us, came out with a painter on the last day to make sure everything was done to our satisfaction, and offered to return if we have concerns in the future. In this difficult economy, we really feel that Steve provided an excellent job at a fair price and clearly wants to leave his customers happy. He succeeded with us. We highly recommend him.

Generally good work and very responsive to requested changes to work requirements throughout the job. Ranked B in some areas due to the following: All requested work not completed; Recaulking and repainting necessary 3 weeks after completion of job in 3 areas; crew did not turn up for 2 days without communications.

Steve was able to give us an estimate the day I called and started the work a few days later. His crew worked hard to complete the interior work in time for a weekend party at our home, as well as getting most of the exterior work done at the same time. They even did a couple of days' extra work to finish additional repairs that were discovered during prepping for the exterior paint. We agreed on an extremely fair price on the added repairs and are very happy with the work. Steve recommended the exterior color and matched the interior trim color exactly, as well as suggesting we change the color of the wrought iron and house numbers on the front of the house. It all looks great and we are very pleased.

The whole process was quite painless for us. They started the job promptly after we agreed on the contract, and they finished it in less than 5 days. The work was very well done. Mr. Turner was very obliging -- unusually concerned with making sure that we were satisfied at every stage. The people who did the work were hard-working and polite. We would certainly use Turner Enterprises again. One unusual aspect of the job was that, when he gave us the original estimate, Mr. Turner pointed out that most of the paint on our house was actually in pretty good shape and that the parts that looked bad could be improved a lot by just spray-washing. He indicated that we could probably wait a few more years before getting it painted. He was probably right about that, but we decided to go ahead with the full paint job anyway. However, we were impressed by Mr. Turner's honesty about the matter.

I got price bids from Steve Turner (owner) and also from another highly rated Angie's list contractor. Unfortunately for me, I chose Turner Enterprises based on the good A-list track record, and a competitve bid. I have an old bungalow which has 2/3 old style 2" lap board siding and 1/3 hardi-board. The lap board had some areas of minor damage and cracks to be caulked, some peeling paint, and uneven surfaces. When I met with Steve in the bidding process, I was clear that my biggest concern was that the prep work be done very thorougly since the final coat would only be as good as the foundation. He assured me that his crew would get this right and the whole job would take ~2 weeks. (ended up taking about double that time, with some rain days accounted for). In person, and in phone calls, he seems genuinely concerned with doing a quality job and remaining highly rated on the list, but unfortunately, he doesn't follow through. A crew of anywhere between 1 and 3 guys worked on the house throughout the project. Steve showed up on the first day to get them started and then we rarely saw him again. No English spoken among the crew, which made it difficult to communicate. My understanding (silly me) was that Steve would actively manage his crew and monitor that things were progressing as expected. However, he only showed up if we called to complain, and sometimes not even then. It is difficult to say if he was directing them at all, as they actually primed the house before they finished scraping and sanding -- huh? This made it tougher to tell the areas that still needed prep work, which was perhaps the goal. We called him repeatedly to get the prep work completely done and done right as we were concerned that the finish coat would be short-lived without a good foundation (see photos!). He assured us they would go back and fix it properly. Surprise, surprise, they then applied the finish coat before finishing the prep work! Eventually we got tired of waiting for him to give his crew directions and we marked up all the spots around the house that needed scraping and/or caulking, and made it clear that we would not consider the job done until those areas were fixed. At that point, I'm wondering - what exactly am I paying Steve for? I'm directing his crew (through some charades and Spanglish) and checking their work, and then writing a check to an absent middle-man... The crew reluctantly did the work, but as you can see in the photos, we now have extensive splitting along these same caulk lines, and paint bubbling and peeling in many areas. It's been all of 6 months! I would expect a decent paint job to last 3-5 years. They also sprayed paint all over the nozzles of my bug repellant system mounted along the roofline, which promptly plugged them all shut. A little painters tape and common sense could go a long way. To add insult to injury, the proposal and cost was for 2 final paint coats, and he charged us for this, even though only 1 final coat was applied, because, as he noted "he laid it on thick". He did indeed. Save yourself the aggravation and go elsewhere. I wish I had.

Received an estimate for work for multiple items around the house. Called back to do the work and give an additional estimate on a few more things, but no one ever showed up or called. Had an appointment and waited on a Saturday morning for owner. He was a no show. He never called or stopped by. Have never heard back from them. I guess they don't need the business.

Overall, Turner Enterprises did a good job, and the only things that prevented them from getting an "A" rating across the board were relatively small details such as: (1) it took over twice as long to complete the job as had been projected. The job was projected to take "3 days, 4 days max", but it began on August 6 and was not completed until August 18, and there was only about a half-day delay due to weather. In fairness to Steve Turner, after he estimated my job he also estimated a job for my next-door neighbor, and he wound up doing both jobs at the same time. My neighbor's job required a lot more wood repair than did mine. (2) After the projected four days passed, I began asking for status updates, and for several days in a row I was told that "it will definitely be completed tomorrow". It actually took about 12 days to complete the project. The problem was not so much the amount of time it took, but rather the fact that I could not plan anything else from day to day because of not knowing where the project actually stood. (3) The attention to detail left a bit to be desired: (a) even after repeated reminders that there was an attic window that needed to be painted, it was forgotten and only completed after they thought they were finished, causing yet another delay. Steve said that he was unaware of this window, but this was not because of a lack of opportunity to know about it, because I had mentioned it when he came out to do the estimate, and I brought it up on several subsequent occasions while the work was in process. (b) The finishing work to indoor repairs on a patio door was also forgotten until this final extra day. (c) There were also paint spatters on windows and protruding nails on gutters that had to be remedied on this final day. (d) There was also an area on the patio doors, where some vines had previously been removed, where the painters simply painted over the remnants of the vines rather than properly prepping the area prior to painting. This too had to be remedied on the final day, and it still was not really done properly. By way of overall summary, Turner did a good job, and he was always responsive to my requests for remedial action, but as indicated, there was some room for improvement in the areas of keeping me informed on where the project actually stood, and on attention to detail. A particularly positive factor on the job was the repairs done to rotting wood trim on my patio doors. Turner's crew did an excellent job on these wood repairs.

Turner was the middle of three bids I evaluated. They started the work on time.The original time line was about 3-4 days. It took about 7-8 days to complete the job, as a result of the extensive repairs to the siding that were required. As a result, the job ran over the bid price. We negotiated a fair price for the additional cost so that in the end the total extra cost was about 10% of the original bid. It is not that unusual for an experienced contractor to run over slightly, simply because you cannot know all of the issues on a job until you get into it. I thought Mr.Turner was very professional in the way things were done. The job started when he said it would. He stayed in touch during the job. He explained the cost overrun and he worked out something that was reasonable on the extra cost. I would highly recommend his firm and I anticipate using him in the future for other work.

I was having my large master closet redone and after the original shelves were ripped out I knew I couldn't get it spackled and painted before they were coming back to install the new units. I phoned the contact number on a Sunday evening expecting to leave a message, instead spoke to the owner directly. Knowing it was short notice (and a small job) I was willing to be flexible with the time, He was able to fit in my job by that Wednesday - the guy showed up and did a great job. I plan on hiring them for my upcoming painting projects.

Very pleased with the work and Steve was easy to work with. The painters had to work around a lot of rain this summer but they were very diligent in getting the work done.

It went just fine, the painter was very professional, he cleaned up the yard every night and made sure it was like when he arrived in the morning. That may seem to be an odd thing to say, but I have a new puppy and she gets into everything and I was so happy every night when I got home because they cleaned up and I didn't have to run around making sure the puppy couldn't get hurt on something that was left out. Steve Turner would call me everyday at the office to make sure I was happy with everything that was going on. He goes out of his way to please you and kept saying to me if anything is wrong let me know and we will fix it. I really had a very good experience with Turner Enterprises and the price was very reasonable. You can be sure that they will do a good job and if something does go wrong they will fix it.

Steve Turner provided a bid to paint my house on late April. The job required him to paint my house in two stages as I was remodeling. I found Steve to be very knowlegable and expereinced. His bid was approximately a 1/3 less than his competitors. He completed the first stage on a timely manner with good workmanship quality. He patiently awaited my call for the remainder of the job. He was prompt and completed the work beyond what was originally quoted. He was able to create some custom niches for my new flat panel tv's (additional work not originally discussed in bid) His crew did a great job on those. His crew was very professional at all times and open to requests. They were quiet and very clean and trustworthy. I will difinately call Steve again. He did a great job.

I had used him in the past for work and was very pleased with the work. Therefore, I called him to receive an estimate for an upcoming project and he said he would get back to me and never did.

Steve Turner came by the next day after we asked for an estimate and met with us to size up the problem. His bid spelled out in detail the work we had discussed. Other intangibles like his being based nearby and his forthrightness in what he could do for us led his to select him. A week later two of his workers arrived and caulked all the windows and then power-washed, scraped, and sanded off the old paint. Over the next week, all day every day, 2-3 workers meticulously removed and replaced all the rotted wood and scraped, sanded and primed everything. They also took down the gutters we wanted removed. Neighbors passing by told us they were impressed with how thoroughly the work was done. Finally, they masked and painted. We discussed with Steve how we wanted the color to be slightly bluer than it had been and he was able to produce just what we wanted. He came by once or twice a day and phoned several times a day to make sure we were happy with the way the work was progressing. It was clear he wanted us to like the finished product but he wasn't going to wait until it was done to find out what we thought. We can happily recommend him and his crew to anyone wanting an excellent paint job.

I contacted Steve and needed work done within a quick timeframe. He started when he said he would with no delays. Steve and his work team were a pleasure to work with. Steve was a great communicator and stayed in touch throughout the process. His team was punctual, respectful, hard working. They were organized and got the job done in a quick, efficient manner. The work they did was excellent and they were very thorough. A few additional things came up which Steve and his crew were more than glad to do and he was extremely fair in his charges. At the end he asked us to make a list of things for them to adjust and we really could not find much at all.

He did a very good job. He did all of the prep work, he cleaned it off, and he sanded where necessary. He spray painted most of it and hand painted where he had to. He was very professional, he did it on a timely basis, and he stuck with his estimate. The cleanup probably could have been a little better. They did pressure washing before which left some stuff on the windows but they didn?t come back to clean them so we had to do that ourselves. We had one other bid that was about $600 more than his so I think his price is good.
