Spoke on phone, came for estimate. gave me a qoute about 2k over the other painter I had gotten an estimate from. dropped his price when I told him how much the quote was. was a lot nicer than I had expected from other reviews on Angie's List. send out a crew of guys to do the painting. they did a good solid job. the beam in the living room, was supposed to be lifted taped floated and re stained. beam was repainted a chocolate looking color, which makes my living room look like in Andes mint with the green that my wife choose. only painted 1 side of light switches. if I flip the switch on it painted, if I put the switch off, it's not painted. overall good experience. The things that are wrong, I can live with. We were in a hurry and he did a good job.

I think the job, overall, was performed professionally. The work was done exactly as we requested. The workers were courteous and they were good about keeping the area cleaned up. Steve was responsive and available to our phone conversations throughout the job.

I contacted Mr. Turner during the week of August 28th after finding his name from Angie's List. We made an appointment for August 31st at 11am. At approximately 11:45am on the 31st he phoned to say he was running late but would be there within the next hour. Approximately 2 hours later he phoned to say be would not be able to get there at all. We made a subsequent appointment for Sept,.4th at 11am. I heard nothing from him until 10am on the 5th when he called to ask if we could get together later this week. I responded that he had missed the previous day's appointment. He said that he didn't have that appointment on his schedule and that the was sorry for the misunderstanding. I commented thet there was no misunderstanding on my partI can only conlude that Mr. Turner is either extremely unorganized or a prevaricator. I would not engage him nor refer him under any circumstances.

Could not be more pleased. Excellent work, communication, punctuality, and conscientiousness. Especially impressed with matching of texture and color on the interior drywall cracks. I would have sworn it couldn't be done that well, especially after talking to other people we got estimates from - they either insisted it couldn't be done undetectably without completely repainting the room (they were obviously wrong on that!), or wouldn't even bid on the interior work at all. This person was the only one of the about five or six people we got estimates from who was completely professional even on the estimate and who always responded promptly to questions. He was also the only person who could do everything we needed in one fell swoop - the others wouldn't bid on the interior, or the tub enclosure, or both. The outside work was excellent as well, but I just can't stop gloating over the interior crack repair - if you've had foundation work done and now you need your cracks repaired, call this guy!

In summary the crew Mr. Turner sent did an outstanding job. Juan, the crew chief, came in the first day and walked the job with us and worked with us in the way to approach the job. The crew used the entire day to prepare the upstairs walls for painting, some walls were repaired with new sheetrock, others were re-floated and re-textured. They were basically finished with the upstairs in 2 days with the wood work taking part of the crew another 2 days to complete. As we agreed, the study was converted into a paint booth and Juan proceeded to spray paint all the doors and the extensive wood work there. The doors look brand new, factory made. I would recommend anyone else doing this, to sleep elsewhere the night the doors are sprayed. Hugo did an outstanding job floating all the walls and texturing them, he has great patience to achieve seamless results. Jaime specializes in the heavy duty work, like painting the 18 foot foyer of the house with roller extensions and great precision. Leonardo specializes in woodwork and does a great job painting walls and ceilings. Julio and Jose both take great care painting all the woodwork, although they also paint latex.The entire crew works great together; they communicate amongst themselves and quickly agree how to get the job done and make it look easy. We found them honest, ammenable, and easy to work with. Jaime made time to help me take the entry chandelier down to clean it and to put it back up.

They did a fantastic job and made this house look brand new. They were on time and finished on time. I found them on Angie's List and they were the best we have had out here.

Steve Turner walked the job, gave me suggestions, and pointed out exactly what they would do. He was always prompt, professional, and responsive, and he kept me up-to-date on the work. The painters did a painstaking woprk preparing the house, and were neat and quick. The price and the work were excellent, and the communications clear and easy.

I thought they did a really poor job resealing, in which they missed a bunch of things that I asked them to do. Then when I asked them to redo the job, they insisted that the job was done correctly. I did had them provide me a quote for a larger job, but after their work on this job, I am now reconsidering using them further.

We are extremely pleased with the overall experience with Turner Enterprises. We started by getting three quotes from different contractors on Angie's List - one of which tried to sell us an entire house of new paint and replacement of all the trim (which we didn't need), and the other spent weeks trying to figure out how to do the job. Steve was extremely responsive to our request, put us at ease that the repair would not be overly difficult to perform, and was completely honest about what work needed to be done (we'd asked if there was any need to replace all the trim and he said no - very refreshing honesty). He also came up with some good, easy ideas as to how we could improve the overall appearance of our home that his crew could perform while they were doing the repair work (particularly since we don't plan to have people up on extremely long ladders in front of our home very often!). We decided to delay our work from last fall to this spring due to scheduling conflicts, but Steve was very punctual about remembering to touch base with us months later as we had agreed at the inital quote. His team did excellent work and kept the work area very clean. We were extremely impressed that they didn't damage any of our plants going up and down the ladders as many times as they likely had to do. Steve touched base with us every day (took about 2 days, plus some additional days for quick touch-up work), and took the time to ensure that we were pleased with the end result. One other item that I have to mention is that Steve's teams were not only very skilled at performing the work, but also did the job safely. We were not home for most of the work, but I did drop by one day when I was in the area. The ladders were set up properly, and his team was taking their time to ensure their safety. We really appreciate that. We've had work done in the past where other companies have just "rigged" ladders to get to the work and it made us extremely nervous. His team didn't have to worry about the customer standing over them watching their work, but they did the right thing anway. And to us, that speaks volumes.

Overall everything went very well. His workers took great pains in covering and protecting furniture and floors. They were very aware and sensitive to any customer who happen to come in or be in the shop while they were working. When all was finished I inspected the work which was very well done but had a couple of punch list items that needed touching up. In conveying that to Steve, he had his workers out first thing the next morning to correct the minor problems. I found Steve to be easy to work with even when I added to the scope of work unexpectedly.

Overall the painters did a very good job. The house looks like new again. The workman were quiet and cleaned up after themselves. Mr. Turner would call every day to give me an update. If I had questions he would always pick up his phone, in summary communication was regular and he was responsive to my requests. When I have other painting needs in the future I would not hesitate to contact Mr. Turner again.

This is the second time I have used this contractor. The first time was also very disappointing, but Steve made good on the work, by sending two excellent painters to redo the job. He personally came over to the house and apologized and asked for another opportunity to bid on a job at some time in the future. Therefore, when I needed a painter to seal and paint my son's 1 bedroom apartment, I thought of Steve and called him for an estimate. He answered promptly and we arranged a time (several days later on Wednesday) to meet at the apartment and do the estimate. He was in a hurry that day and really didn't have time to examine or measure but said that this was an easy job and he could do it for $2000 all inclusive. We verbally agreed and he said he would get me a written estimate and probably would be able to complete the job early the next week. By Sunday night, I still hadn't heard anything, so I sent him an e-mail which he answered with a written bid. However, the bid was incomplete and I wanted to be sure that everything I needed done was included in writing. He left a message on my cell phone that he was willing to do all I requested and would be able to start on Monday or Tuesday. I returned the call and told him that I needed to let the complex know about our plans (homeowners' rules) and we agreed Wednesday morning at 9:30 am would work better for both of us. He told me to pick out the paint color and let him know the number. On Tuesday afternoon, I left a message on his phone with the paint color - he never acknowledged that call. On Wednesday morning, he called me at 9:33 am and asked if I was at the apartment, which I was. He then said that he was getting ready to send the men over and he would see me soon. I waited - he arrived at 10:20 am - no apology for being late. He seemed to be encouraging the 2 men he brought with me in half Spanish/English that this was a good job. That seemed very curious to me. Neither of them spoke English and I don't think Steve speaks much Spanish either - communication seemed very limited. We had to walk over to the apartment office and fill out contractor paperwork and get a set of keys that they issue all contractors. His cell phone went off several times and he was involved in a full conversation while we were trying to get the paperwork done. Everytime he hung up, another call came in, and instead of asking if he could call them back, he took the calls. We finally get to the front door and I was trying to show him how the keys work, and the phone rang again, and he starts yet another conversation. I told him I had an appointment at 11 am and I needed to get this job started and leave. He responded, "Then leave - go to your appointment". (He said this while still talking to the person on the other end of the line) I said "No, I want to be sure you know exactly what I want done." At that point, I said, "Come on Steve, let's get started on this job ,and then you can talk ..." Then he exploded in my face with "I'm gonna blow this job off - I can't stand someone yelling at me while I'm on the phone (I wasn't yelling - he was the one yelling) Then he added "Come on guys - let's go" motioning to the 2 workers who had no idea what they were hearing, to leave. As he approached the truck, he turned around and screamed at me, "Do you want me to do this job or not - I'm doing you a favor " I was stunned and couldn't respond. I asked for him to leave the keys that we had just picked up at the office, and he shouted, "he has them" pointing to my son, who was still standing at the door. Steve had thrown the keys down on the ground and my son had picked them up. Steve then stepped on the gas and sped away in a fury. His workers left immediately after him. It is now several hours later and Steve has not called back, so I assume he is not going to apologize. I can assure you that I will not call him again for any work. Though he is capable of doing very nice work, he has an explosive temper and 2 bad experiences is enough to confirm in my mind that this is not a contractor worthy of my time and money.

Mr. Turner was ready to do the work, and he took my calls with questions before and during the work. The work was done quickly and the painters were courteous. The quality of the work was thorough and neat, with 2 coats on all surfaces. I would recommend Turner Enterprises to my friends!

from the begining of the job to the end the workers were busy non stop with the exception of lunch. The job only lasted 3 days. I am very impressed with the quality of work and the professionalism of the job. I will defenitely be using Steve for future jobs.

I chose Turner Enterprises for two reasons 1) a reasonable price considering all of the work I wanted done, and 2) Steve's attitude and enthusiasm. First, when Steve came by for the bid he was fun to deal with and full of information about what we could do. He was willing to help us decide on techniques and colors. He made a special trip to bring samples and help us make some decisions. He was patient as we tried to decide how we wanted to proceed. He scheduled the job on the exact dates I wanted, and they got started and worked well - progressing faster than expected. What we thought would take two weeks only took one. The details were amazing. They painted stripes and edges free-hand, using no tape, and the lines are perfect! It all looks wonderful and they finished early. They were clean and neat and nice to have in the house. I'd highly recommend Steve and his team for any painting jobs you require.

Although we ultimately decided to hire a different contractor, I was extemely pleased with Steve's responsiveness, detailed explanation of the work he proposed, and follow-up information. All it all, it was a highly professional experience.

Steve Turner communicated with client very well, keeping me posted on schedules and status of work completion. Addressed my scope and quality concerns immediately. He supervised the work well and responded timely to all questions and modifications. Quality of work was very good.

Great. All concrete was cleaned and the home owners association is satisified.

If you are like me, home repair projects make me want to run and hide as I have found it very difficult to find contractors that I can trust to do a good and professional job. That is why I joined Angie's list and that is why I am glad I found Turner Enterprises. The whole process was quick and painless for me. Steve met me the day after I called him to look at the work to be done and provide an estimate. He then was able to quickly schedule my project in for the followining week. He was very helpful in helping me decide what exactly needed to be done. His workers showed up promptly on Monday morning the next week and did a fantastic job on every project. When they left, everything looked great and no mess was made. I have an additional project to retile my kitchen floor that I am hoping to have Steve do in the near future since he did such a good job on the first job. Would definitely recommend to anyone needing some work done on their house.

Called Steve to get an estimate for painting our house. He returned my call same day and I was able to schedule him to come to the house for an estimate within two days (I think he could have come to the house the next day after talking on the phone, but that didn't work with my schedule so he came out the day after). Steve was very punctual, took time to look over exterior and showed me several areas he felt may need some additional work (i.e. replace rotting wood). I asked him about a couple of additional places I thought may need work and he felt they were fine and didn't need it. I appreciated his honesty. We had 3 bids and Steve's was the best price of the 3. We did not end up hiring Steve only because we decided to do additional work to the inside of the house and hired a carpentry team we have worked with in the past. They will also paint the exterior. Had we not decided to add work to the job and already had a trusted team we knew, we would have hired Steve to complete the exterior paint job

Went great...and Steve Turner had better ideas for my house than I did...a huge plus.

I tried to call them once and they never returned my call. I left a message.

How did it go? Steve returned my call within an hour and scheduled a meeting of the next day. He gave us an estimate and they started working the next day. After opening up the water damage on the porch, the extent of the water damage was identified. They worked hard to ensure the all the pieces fit correctly. They took the time to insure that no future water would create the same problem. They primer and painted all the new wood.

Steve and his crew are true professionals and do great work. Steve was extremely punctual and gave a great estimate, as he spotted many areas that needed work. He quoted us a great price and he delivered a quality finished product over the course of 5 to 6 days. The house looks great due to Steve and his crew's efforts. They were able to replace a lot of rotting facia and siding, then put in new material. I also had two load bearing beams on the back patio that were warped from hurrican Ike. Steve's crew were able to replace them with new 4x6 and it is now perfect. Steve's crew also refinished the front entry door and it looks brand new. In a lot of ways, the entire house feels new. It was nice coming home each of those evenings and seeing just how much they were able to accomplish. By the end of the week, they had everything pretty much done. Steve also was a great help in selecting the two colors of the house, and the colors are perfect (neighbors have told us as much). This guy is great at he does and I would highly recommend his company to anyone planning to repaint their home. Excellent work Steve! A+

This company has heart a big heart. Steve helped me tackle a big project with limited funds. I had bids from four contractors, entered on a spreadsheet to compare each phase of the project, paint, woodwork and flooring. Steve's bid matched one and beat all the others. Without his willingness to help stretch my budget, many of this project's features would have been eliminated.This project successfully stayed on track because Steve worked hard to communicate by phone every day. He encouraged me to call him anytime with any questions or concerns. As with any large project, we had a few little bumps along the way, but Steve quickly worked to answer my questions. I felt like a friend was working hard to help me accomplish a lot within my budget. I was allowed to work closely with the workers. This was not a turn-key project, partly due to the long distance to Galveston, allowing me to affect the work and tailor the outcome to meet my dreams and vision. Steve was very easy to work with, and accessible. Most of our initial negotiation was verbal, Steve's real strength, but putting it all in writing was key to helping the project see a successful conclusion.
