The owner and contractor, James Lupo, was most helpful in the design and planning of the remodel, as well as providing recommendations for sources for plumbing and tile. He was very sensitive to my needs due to my disability, and was very helpful in ensuring that there was minimal impact on my ability to live in the house during the construction, The adjoining bedroom was carefully protected with plastic and heavy paper where construction traffic would pass. The demolition was done carefully, ensuring that dust production was minimized. They really worked to minimize the impact of construction on us, All workers were very courteous, all spoke English, and most had worked for Mr. Lupo for a long time. I became concerned during the installation of windows by a subcontractor, and Mr. Lupo responded very quickly and the problem was resolved. He checked progress daily or every other day during the early days of the job, and somewhat less often during the tile work. The tile work was done by a full-time employee of Tri-Way. He has worked for Tri-Way for over twenty years, and is a very meticulous worker, almost overly so. I have done some tile work myself, and my experience suggests that he could have worked more efficiently and quickly than he did. I think Mr. Lupo agrees with me on that point. In any event, the tile work was completed, and it is beautiful. They used a new epoxy grout that they had never used before. As soon as the tiling was complete, the tiler, who preferred to work alone, immediately left town for a week. When we were able to closely examine the grout job, my wife was not pleased with the grouting because the grout line was so deep on the floor that she was concerned that dirt would collect in the grout line. We asked that more grout be placed in the grout line so that it would be more nearly level with the tile. I was able to work with the grout to create a grout depth that was acceptable, and was able to teach one of two workers sent out the next Monday how to successfully modify the grout line. However, the other worker was unwilling to modify ?the way he had always done it? and therefore did not did not satisfy our requirements for the work to be done. I made a quick call to Mr. Lupo and this worker was moved to cleanup duty. The point to be made here is that Mr. Lupo was available at all times for communication, and that he is willing to do whatever is necessary to satisfy his clients. The grout was finished to my wife?s satisfaction, and we have a beautiful, accessible bathroom with a roll-in shower. The job commenced on the day agreed upon, and there was only one day that there were no workers on the job. I enjoyed working with Jim because he worked hard, expected the same of his employees, and expected a high quality of work from them. He was always available by phone, email, or text, and promptly returned any message. He never got excited; there was no problem that could not be solved. If you as a consumer are fortunate enough to have Tri-Way Enterprises choose you to do your remodel, you will be more than satisfied with the experience and the work they do.
Description of Work: Remodeling of bathroom, including replacement of two windows, widening of door to toilet area, removal of Jacuzzi tub, enlarging of shower to allow roll-in access, installation of grab bars and multiple shower heads, complete re-tiling of shower and floor.

Excellent! The quality of the work far exceeded my expectations. They had great communication about what work was going to be done each day and stuck to the agreed timelines. They were very honest and I was comfortable leaving them to work with nobody else in the house. The prices were very fair for the work being performed and Tri-Way has a great network of contractors to ensure you only have to work with one company to get a wide range of services done.
Description of Work: Removed old shower and installed an updated shower with tile and framless shower door. New fixtures were installed for the shower as well as bath tub to match. TIle work was done around the bathtub to tie it in with the shower. A new front door and frame were installed. Siding was repaired and repainted. Grout work was done in the bathroom to clean up an old repair. Outdoor ligth fixture was removed and capped off. Glue was injected below the wood floors to resolve an issue where the boards moved when you walk over them.

They're very attentive, reasonably-priced, and do excellent work. They always do.
Description of Work: They did all sorts of various remodeling inside and outside my home.
I am extremely satisfied with the work. It's absolutely very well done. The crew was polite, very well mannered crew. I liked that everybody spoke English. That's not a criteria but it's really difficult to communicated with people that don't speak English. I don't like people to come into my house that I can't communicate with. In his whole crew, it was absolutely impeccable. Even the Spanish speaking ones, spoke English, which I like that.
Description of Work: I used Tri-Way Enterprises, Jim Lupo last year for a kitchen remodel and then 2 months ago to do a living room remodel. New cabinets, new ceiling, new texture, new walls, new paint, new lighting, that kind of stuff. Basically a remodel of a living room and new cabinets and a new closet.
Excellent. Detailed estate which we worked from. Added scope which was priced and executed well. All workmen were competent and responsive. I awared the job contingent on a 4 week construction cycle. I also made it clear I expected someone one site daily or a call to inform me. Jim Lupo and group met all my expectations. I have read other not so good reviews, but they do not sound like the contactor I hired. I am a retired professional engineer with much experience In the industry

Everything went great! I called Jim back in July and he was busy. After having multiple estimates and going back to our orignial house builder for the warranty, I called Jim back again in November. He was able to give us a quick estimate (that was less than all of our other estimates too). He started the job at the end of January and they finished mid February. He was very professional and answered all of our questions. He also gave us a lot of advice and referred us to a tile company and glass company as well. Pedro was incredible! Again, he answered all of our questions and worked very dilligently to complete the job to our satisfaction. We were very impressed with the finished job and we would not hesitate to use them again in the future.
Description of Work: We had to have our entire shower replaced due to a fault with the original builder of our house. We also had the tile around our bathtub replaced to match the new shower.

The owner, Jim Lupo, provided workers who were skilled at their respective crafts. The job was completed in eight weeks. The shower and floor tile was meticulously laid. Granite was carefully cut and installed. Painters did an adequate job with just a few drips left on the floor and smears on the inside of cabinets. The electrician's extensive experience was evident in her impressive work. Overall, if you want quality work done by people you can trust in your home, contract with Tri-Way. Make sure all your additional requests are in writing. Check everything carefully before making final payment. The vanity drawer made by the carpenter still sticks even though we asked Jim to have it fixed.

It was a pleasure working with Jim and his crew during this major project. Our scope included new cabinets, counter tops, floors, demo of existing wall, installation of kitchen island and associated plumbing, electrical and painting. From the start, we had a design and concept in mind, but were just looking for the right company to execute. After securing several bids, we went with Tri-Way due to their great reviews and pricing that was very competitive, even though they offered custom work when compared to others that were offering standard cabinet installations. All work was done in a very professional manner, housekeeping was good and the communication with Jim was excellent. As we've had other contractors perform remodel work in our house, one of my main concerns was communication. Those worries were put to rest right from the start as Jim was always responsive to any call, text or email I sent him. I was always in the loop as to what would occur next and his staff offered excellent advice when we were faced with decisions on materials or design questions. We are very happy with all the work performed, but were especially impressed by the carpentry work performed by Mike. If you're looking for a person who can provide you with excellent craftsmanship, puts pride in his work, is willing to listen to your ideas and offer advice when needed, you need to look no further than the work that Mike did for us (see photos). The project was completed within the established budget but was slightly over schedule partly due to weather delays and partly due to additional scope that we added. When it seemed that the extended schedule was going to impact an event that my wife had committed to hosting at our house, Jim and his crew made sure that everything was completed so that she didn't have to reschedule or cancel. We were very appreciative of his efforts; not all companies show this type of personal concern when completing a project. In summary, we believe we made a great choice going with Tr-Way and will not hesitate to use them again for future projects.

This is the third project we have given Tri-Way Enterprises in the past three months. Total investment, approximately $20,000.00. The company is superb in every way. Fine attention to quality and detail, and owner, Jim Lupo, is a very hands-on manager. He was backed up with other projects when we first contacted him, and we had to wait in line for over two months before he could start project #1. It was worth the wait. I give Jim and his employees an A+

Jim Lupo is a nice guy, his guy's completed the work as requested. Site remained tidy and debris was hauled off in a timely manner. I have recommended Try-way for other jobs, would use them again.
Description of Work: Replaced french door with supplied windows, resided, insulated and sheetrocked the area. Installed a new supplied sliding glass door where there had not been one before. Textured and repainted two rooms.
One year before actually doing the work, we had had a bad experience with another contractor, in the preliminary design phase of our project. After putting down $2200, due to lack of responsiveness, we decided to end our relationship. All we got back was $750 and 4 sketches (not fully executed plans) to show for it. So, after that experience (our first foray into remodeling), we were understandably skittish and didn't do anything for almost a year. Then we got the itch again and started to look around. Joined Angie's List and saw that, by far, Tri-Way had the best reviews, so we asked for a bid, along with another firm. Jim promptly came to our home, looked at the sketches and within days gave us a bid. We waited for the remaining bid to come in. In the end, the two bids were within $1000 of each other, and similar to the one from the previous year, so we focused on the quality of the reviews on Angie's List, and went with Tri-Way. From the very beginning, we were impressed. Jim and his crew are extremely attentive, outgoing and just plain good people. I would receive a phone call every day from Jim, who visited our home daily, with an update. He would also give us "homework" to do (ordering appliances, picking out paint, cabinet doors, hardware, etc.), so that it felt like we were part of the team. The scheduling of the different tasks went very smoothly. The quality of the workmanship, whether it was the custom carpentry (Mike), electrical connections (Michelle), floors (Sebastian), or painting (Andy) was outstanding. And, frankly, we looked forward to coming home every day to see the progress. Simply put, we had fun during the entire project. At the end, we provided a punch list of minor items that needed to be fixed, and they were attended to promptly. All trash and old appliances were hauled away and the entire patio, which had served as a staging area for the 6 week job, was cleaned and pressure washed. All in all, a great experience and I learned a lot. We will definitely be contacting them again, most likely in about a year when we tackle a bathroom remodel. These folks take great pride in their work and it shows.

I had three estimates, all top providers from Angie's List. I was able to eliminate one who didn't offer enough suggestions. (I was redecorating after having had mounted heads and horns as my decor for 20 years-- I needed help!). A trusted commercial contractor reviewed the bids with me and suggested going with the person I felt most comfortable with. I chose Jim Lupo's company and couldn't have been happier. The carpenters and painters were excellent! In addition to skill in their crafts, I could trust them in my home. I'm a little slow getting my review in, but as I was looking at my countertops today, I decided I'd like others to know what a good job Jim and his crew did.

First, let me say that this was our first experience with a renovation and with a contractor. In addition to the renovation, we also learned a lot about the process and working with a contractor. Second, when all is said and done, we LOVE the finished product and I think Jim (the owner) was pretty pleased as well. Joe, the project lead who did much of the work, including demo, tile and plumbing, did a fabulous job. He was meticulous, paid attention to all the details, and he was willing to give advice and answer questions. Andy, Jose, Gilbert, Mike, and Michelle all were friendly and did a nice job. | |In terms of lessons learned, we found the following: 1. As with any project, communication is critical - contractor to client and client to contractor. We learned this the hard way and all I can say is, all parties need to ask questions and no one should make assumptions. As much as we tried to specify everything, there were things it never occurred to us to ask about or to provide direction. Jim and his people are professionals but there is no substitute for specifying your expectations and desires at the beginning and throughout the project. And, a project plan is so important! We did not have one and really wish we did. 2. If more than one person in the household is involved with the decision-making, it is critical that both people are comfortable with the contractor and that the contractor is comfortable with both of you. If you have very different styles, you are headed for conflict - with your contractor and at home. This is the reason for the "B" rating and why will would not use Tri-Way Enterprises again. His team did great work but it was a stressful experience for us as a couple and for Jim. I would recommend Tri-way Enterprises under these circumstances: 1. Everyone involved - homeowners and contractor - is comfortable with one another from the start. If you have friction during the estimate process, you may want to keep looking. 2. You specify EVERYTHING and ask lots of questions before demolition, at the beginning of each phase and throughout your job. 3. You have a basic project plan so you know what will be done, when and by whom. Then you can make plans accordingly. 4. If you need tile work done, ask for Joe! When all is said and done, we have a new bathroom and invaluable experience to take to our next home renovation. We thank Jim, Joe and everyone else for their work and our lovely bathroom.
Description of Work: What we had done: Master bathroom renovation (including window enlargement, creation of a large walk-in shower, lots of tile) plus minor repairs to another bath, minor repairs to bedroom and closet sheetrock and painting.
It went like clockwork. The crew arrived when they said they would be there. Jim spent a lot of time helping us design the new cabinets, picking the hardware, picking the paint colors and tile. He kept close tabs on the job to make sure that everything was on schedule. He really went out of his way to make sure that we got the kitchen we wanted. All of his employees were curtious and respectful. Jim was very conscientious. He conducts business as if he were remodeling his own home. This is the second big job that he has done for us. He will be my remodel contractor for life. Look at the attached pictures and see for yourself. i
Description of Work: We had a water leak in the attick above the kitchen cabinets that we did not know about until the cabinets started warping and falling apart. Jim lupo arrived promptly for the bid appointment and sat down with us to help design our new kitchen to best fit our needs and so the bid would reflect the work that we needed. He wasn't the cheapest but he wasn't the highest. He got the job because he portrayed the confidence was in his work. You could tell that he really knew what he was talking about. Jim did all of the tear out himself with a helper. His plumber found the leak and repaired it. The pony wall had to be rebuildt and all of the cabinets were replaced. We changed the layout of the cabinets so i needed to replace some tile, but the kind we had was discontinued. We decided to tear all of the tile out and retile the living room, dining room, laundry room, and kitchen. His crew retiled the same areas. Every door in the house was replaced, including the back door, all of the base boards in the house, a pocket door was installed in the Master Bath and one in the laundry room, the water heater was replaced, grainite counter tops were installed in the kitchen, on the window seals, and on the fireplace mantle. They tiled the pony wall and back splash with a brick pattern tile that look awesome. All of the sheetrock in the kitchen and laundry room was replaced, floated, taped, and textured so it looked great when they painted it. They added new plugs in the kitchen where needed, relocated the electrical wiring that needed to be moved and installed 11 under counter lights on a dimmer, installed a new sink, faucet, and garbage disposal. There was a light box in the kitchen that was removed and can lights with dimmable LED lamps were installed. All new appliances were installed. All of the trash was hauled off.
We've used a lot of remodelers and handymen, and this provider was amazing! James, the owner, was on site at all times and always available to take our calls. They were so professional, reliable, showed up every day, and very clean. If I had a question or suggestion they were very willing to hear them and take them into account. The price was very reasonable for all that they did. We will definitely use them again. They were very customer service oriented.

I own a home that was built in the 50's. I have dealt with a lot of contractors over the last 20 years. Mr. Lupo is the best contractor that I have ever had and that you will ever have if you decide to use him. He started the job on-time, guided me through every decision, gave me valuable advice that made a huge difference in the results of the bathroom remodel. Although I struggled getting through the spam protection on his e-mail, I never struggled to reach him by phone. He always either answered my calls or returned my calls within minutes. Mr. Lupo's constant mantra was this: "I want you to be happy with the work we are doing." Even when the initial tile I selected was of poor quality and resulted in some installation problems, Mr. Lupo corrected the problems by ordering a tile of better quality from a different manufacturer. He is honest, dedicated, and passionate about the work he does...just ask to see his pictures! Joe did all of the tile work in the bathroom with the new and improved tile. He is an artist. He communicated with me and shared options of different ways to do the tile. He always listened to what I wanted and what I liked. The end result is amazing, and I am so satisfied with the work that I am having Mr. Lupo do the guest bathroom.
