The Primary contractor quoted us a good price and was the most courteous of the people we quoted. His crew came out and did the work on time and correctly. Also the primary came back out to check the work and helped with a bit of preventative maintenance at the panel which I really appreciated.

They came the same day, and my wife pointed them to the correct circuit. She said they were courteous and professional. Thor said everything was ok, and didn't charge me an arm and a leg.

They installed a security light at the front of my house. It required running wire from inside my living room outlet through the wall to the fixture tothe front of my house. They also installed an outlet in my front hallway by going from an outlet in our garage, running a wire through a tube they affixed to the wall and through the wall into the hallway wall. They did a very professional job and I couldn't have asked for nicer folks. I would hire them again anyday. I want to add that I am a very fussy person and these guys were great!

We have recently inherited my childhood home and with the home having been built in the late 50's early 60's we were concerned about how often breakers were being thrown when certain items were used. We knew the house had wiring that was out date/code so we decided to contact a couple of electricians for estimates. I called 5 companies from here on Angie's List and Danny Hixon @ Thor was the ONLY one to call me back. He came out gave us a free estimate, explained everything that would happen, and how long it would take. We officially hired Danny and Thor the next day. He got the city permits the following Tuesday and started the work on Thursday. The city inspector was here on Friday and now we just have to get Centerpoint to do their part. Then it is on to part two. Thor Enterprises is now our home electrician. We will not call anyone but Danny ever again. Angie's List has now given me a plumber and an electrician that I will continue to use! Not bad for one month's time frame!

They charged exactly what they said they were going to which was $2900. The job that they did was good and they were very courteous. They were informative and told me what I needed to do and what I didn't need to do based on the inspectors report on the home that we bought. I felt that was very fair. I wish I got an itemized bill rather than a bill for the amount they quoted me because how would I know if I was being over charged at the going rate. There was nothing to show how much was the materials and how much was the labor and there was nothing there to itemize that. I don't know whether or not it was a fair price though we looked around a little bit. The price range was enormous for the work we were doing. They seemed trust worthy and courteous and that's why we chose them. I am happy the work is done but I do wish I could be more certain that we got a good price on it. I would recommend them and check around more than we did. We were in a hurry to get it done. I would definitely suggest that you do some price checking and get more people to come and look at the problem and choose. We had a couple of people only come and look at them and we went with them because they had good reviews on Angie's List. They were the best among the contractors we contacted. They did have to leave in the middle of the job as they had to take care of an emergency with another customer. I understand that and at first it seemed like they were going leave us in lurch but they didn't. They made sure we were taken care of before they walked out. They came back and finished the job when they got the chance.

Every time I got on my treadmill my TV would freeze up. I had AT&T out several times and they said there was nothing wrong with the cable connections. Thor was recommended to me by a friend so I called them. They were very professional, punctual and pleasant to deal with. They install a separate outlet just for the treadmill.

We woke up to having some outlets and a light stop working in two rooms of our home. After checking breakers and being unsuccessful at fixing the problem I came to Angie's List to look for a highly rated electrician. We've been through our share of unethical tradesman over the years here in Texas and I prayed Angie's List would prove to be an accurate source to find reputable business people. Thor Enterprises was at the top of the list, so I called. I received a prompt and courteous callback. He was able give me an estimate of cost based on my description of the problem and was able to stop by a couple hours later. The problem was minor, as he had thought from our phone conversation and it was fixed in no time. Danny & his assistant came across as being very ethical, knowledgeable and all around good people. I will call them again in a heartbeat if I ever have an electrical issue again. Thank-you Angie's List!

I had previously contacted a large, franchised electrical contractor that was advertising a free inspection of residential breaker boxes. The company rep. inspected my breaker box and informed me that I needed several thousand dollars in repair work done on the unit, and stressed to me that the unit was in fact dangerous and could cause a fire. I thanked him for the inspection, and then contacted Dan at Thor Enterprise and asked him if he could come out to my house and give me a second opinion on the breaker panel. Dan and I scheduled an appointment for several weeks out, and he showed up on time, was very professional, courteous and after looking at the breaker panel, he found that it only needed a few minor repairs, which he promptly corrected, at a very reasonable price. Outstanding customer service! Dan was responsive, very professional, and resonably priced. I will most certainly use him again for any electrical work, and I highly reccomend him. Larry Byrne

The main electrician talked a lot, but the assistant did the work quickly and very well. And the main electrician gave it all the A-OK. Good work. We were thrilled to have working electricity in that room again.

I expected excellent service from Thor, based on their high rating on Angie's List, but even so, I was pleasantly surprised; at every step, they surpassed my expectations. For both the estimate and the installation, they were both prompt and accommodating; They showed up when they said, and finished the work quickly. Thor, represented by Danny Hixon, took the time to discuss multiple options for getting what I wanted, citing the Pro's and Con's of each, and offered me price estimates for each of the options. In the end, I elected to order a nice 10-circuit Transfer Switch online, and have Mr. Hixon install it. He was quite helpful in providing me information I needed to order the right unit. Once the unit arrived, I called Mr. Hixon, and he and his team scheduled an appointment to install it that day. They mounted and installed the unit very quickly, and did a very professional job; the system works flawlessly, both in normal mode and in Generator mode. That's when I received an even more pleasant surprise. Mr. Hixon told me that the unit I had ordered was much more 'installation ready' than many he has seen, so the installation was considerably easier... and he would charge me considerably less than his original estimates. And he was true to his word. Thor was one of two Angie's List "A Grade" electricians that I contacted for estimates for this job. In the end, Thor (through Mr. Hixon and his team) did an outstanding job of giving me *exactly* what I wanted, and did so at literally *half* of the cost estimate that I was given by the other company for a similar system. I can and do recommend Thor Enterprises without a moment's hesitation.

I thought Angie's list might be a hoax but joined it due to being in Arizona and selling our home in Texas. We did not know who to contact to complete the repairs from the home inspection list so I took a chance and joined Angie's list. The first electrician I called was Thor Enterprises and left a message on the phone for Danny Hixon. It wasn't even 10 minutes when he returned my call. I explained the listed items needing repaired and he was able to give me a quote over the phone which was the price he charged. He even gave me his cell phone number so that we could contact him directly. Danny was excellent and I would recommend him. The grade "A" is not high enough for him.

I contacted Danny because of his rating and reports on Angie's List. Danny (and his son) showed up on time, explained the process for fixing the light fixture (problem) and were very courteous. Even though this was a small/minor job, I would definitely use his services again in the future.

Started out to be a crew of three. Head guy sent a different person on each sight to start working. I was having them check out a problem with the smoke detectors, door bell (didn't work) and put in a surge protector. (And here I thought I would be tied up several hours). While these guys were working another truck pulled up and here was Danny and his son. Danny started checking out their work and how far they have gotten. He checked my ground wire outside the house and sent one of the guys to replace it. I would say within about 1-1/2 - 2 hrs. work was completed....Danny check things before leaving and also had his son check each smoke detector. Explained his guarantee and what work was done. This guy is good and has his it together!!!! I would call him again.

Thor Enterprises is absolutely awesome. Danny was extremely knowledgeable and made great suggestions regarding wiring in this 30+ year old home. He arrived when he said he would and the team came back the next day to the work required....PLUS they installed wiring for a fan on the vaulted ceiling when I mentioned I was considering doing that. His comment? "You can save a lot of money if you do that while I'm here rather than separately." I originally called him to have wiring put in over the fireplace for my TV that would allow the cable boxes to be on another wall. He and I walked through the house and he noted a couple of other things that would need attention in the future.... no pressure. He suggested putting in a new ground rod the same day. The contractor he recommended , Kirtley Construction, patched the walls and ceilings and things look great. I'd recommend THOR without reservation.

Hi - I haven't used Danny yet but he was nice enough to refer me to a sign company that also does electrical work since I need both done. He was nice enough to actually call me back in a couple of days just to follow up. I have been in a business for over 10 years and know when I find a good contractor. I hope I never have to use an electrician (wishful thinking) but when I do i am going to call him.

Job went very smoothly, timing and price was exactly what they quoted. They showed up on time, made sure to keep the areas as clean as possible, and most importantly everything is working perfectly.

called the main number at 7:30 AM and received a call back by 7:45AM. Danny and his son were here by 10am and had the work done by noon, including a trip to the supply store. It's an A+ in my books anytime a contractor is this responsive and professional. He's definitely going in the permanent address book!

I live in an older home and upon trying to install an new dishwasher thought I would been a major electrical upgrade to provide an electrical ground. Thor came out on a Saturday and showed me that the systems was in fact already grounded and upgraded the connection; a minor repair only. I appreciated the honesty! Awesome
