A no show. Danny selected Sunday morning at 9 AM to come assess the work I was requesting & said he thought he would be able to complete the work on Monday. I called him Sunday morning at 10 AM to see if he was on his way - he was very apologetic and said he had forgot about our appointment. He did offer to get around and come out ASAP, but I already had an 11 AM committment so that wouldn't work. He told me he would contact me later in the day to reschedule - - it's now three days later and I've not heard back from him. I selected Thor Enterprises because of the high reviews on Angies List, so I'm disappointed in their responsiveness. I would much prefer a company tell me they are currently too busy to take on any additional work rather than leave me hanging.

He was amazing, he actually came out in 30 minutes to do the electrical work. I was very pleased with the experience.

We didn't think we would need an electrician as our previous gas stove had a plug. When we received the new electric stove, we realized that an electrician would be required. I called to request service at 4pm on Friday afternoon and they hooked us up Monday afternoon.

went very well. took 24 hours for the initial call back but not a big problem imo. i'm glad i waited and gave them a chance. 3 workers came out even before they knew what all needed to be done. they came prepared to do the job and the price was very reasonable for the work they did.

Danny gave a great estimate while discussing the options with me. He came back to do the rough-in work, and returned later to do the trim work. Great job all the way around. Will definitely use him for any electrical in the future.

Danny is a stud. We were having AC issues, and he came out and did the single fasted diagnosis of a home issue I've ever seen. On a hot Saturday night, late in the evening, he came out to our home without having ever met us or done work for us. Awesome "good faith" treatment. He was not dismissive or grouchy about the late hour at all. Love that. The AC guy thought the problem was in the attic (it was) but that was only a symptom of a larger problem with some external wiring issues. He basically ripped apart some poorly designed wiring and found the short incredibly quickly and fixed it in a matter of minutes. Awesome. He then went upstairs and found the rest of the problem and replaced some old fuses that a lot of electrical guys would just say "this is outdated" and try and get us to do a bunch of unnecessary upgrades. We've seen this act before. Danny understood these older homes can't get overhauled due to small issues; he fixed what needed to be fixed. For the time he spent at the time of day he came out, I was blown away. Expected a much larger bill, he was very reasonable and awesome to work with. I'm doing a major re-wire in a different house and noone else will be called. Danny is the man.

I would recommend Danny to anyone needing electric service.

First off- They returned my call as they said they would. We set up a date and time and they called to confirm before. Then they called when they were on their way to my home as I requested. A team of 3 showed up on a very stormy day with flooding an lightning that was pretty much unbelievable. The team leader hooked up my electric stove the the granite installer took out and didn't know how to hook back up. They checked all my wall plugs in my 3,800 sq. ft. new home to see if they worked and if thy were grounded, and if they didn't work, they found out why. They found the GFI plug that our inspector couldn't find before we closed on our home. Danny Hixon arrived shortly after I called him. He promptly took care of our electrical problem. Absolutely the best person we have dealt with in a long, long time. Really knows what he is doing and took his time answering our questions. We're "senior" citizens and really appreciated that.

A very professional team! I called for service on my air conditioner wiring and they were out in the same day! I would recommend this company to anyone who wants prompt quality services at a reasonable price.

A perfect experience. After calling the company and speaking with Danny, he quickly identified a crew working in my area of town and dispatched Steven and his two assistants to come fix my problem with a breaker. Less than three hours after my initial call the problem was repaired. When the crew arrived I identified the breaker and the bathroom the breaker served. The crew had to do some sharp detective work to determine the problem was actually caused by a landscape lighting transformer plugged into an outside outlet (which I had not identified as a location served by the breaker). They replaced the breaker and fixed the part that caused the short on the outside transformer. The price was very reasonable given the cost of the new breaker and the labor to successfully detect the root cause of my problem. On top of everything else they also provided me a senior discount. Danny Hixon worked closely with the generator contractor to provide a smooth installation of the generator. I had requested a new electrical panel. Danny and Rick Tolliver of Generators of South Texas were able to find a new Kohler combination electrical panel and transfer switch. In addition to installing the two new dedicated circuits I had requested, because the siding was in the process of being replaced at that time, Danny offered (at no extra charge) to run two extra lines into the attic that can be used in the future. The permit for the generator ran into problems with the City of Houston. Danny personally worked with his contacts in the permitting department to explain the project and obtain the permit, saving me thousands of dollars, since the City originally wanted a much larger generator installed (which would have provided power to my whole neighborhood!) I found Danny and his employees to be very professional and he kept me informed as to what they were doing and why.

Mr. Hixon was very responsive and sympathetic to the situation at hand. He took the time to do the job quickly, within budget - and even called to followup to make certain everything had been reconnected with out incident. I will happily call him with any other electrical issues!

The electrician was very quick and neat. He and his assistant performed a beautiful installation, clean up after themselves, and the new breaker box immediately passed its inspection by the City of Houston.

They came out immediately and able to diagnose the problem immediately. We called them late one evening and they didn't charge us the emergency fee. The amount they charged us was fair.

We have an older home and the circuit box was in my husband's closet-- it always bothered us because it didn't seem safe, although it was convenient with a circuit was thrown. Thor replaced the box with outside model, labeled every circuit (with our old box we always had to guess what was what and never got around to labeling)-- they then secured the old box and bolted down the cover, plus provided extra wiring that we will need as we remodel the house. Work was done quickly, efficiently and the clean up was excellent.

He dropped everything to take care of my dad who is elderly. The guy was extremely reliable and dependable. The price was fair and they did everything they could to help.

Update: Thor Enterprises contacted me after seeing the review to apologize for the delay in returning my call. He offered his services, but I have already selected another provider.

I liked them a lot. I found them through Angie’s List. They were responsive and sincere. I spent $180 for the service and the parts. They didn’t charge me for the things they shouldn’t charge. I would use them again in the future.

I called him on Friday and he called me back with the expectation we could discuss an appointment next week. We agreed on a convenient time - for us- to perform the services and he came in on time and completed the repairs.

When they arrived (as scheduled and on time) they promptly proceeded to make the necessary repairs. They were very professional, explaining what they were doing when I asked. They replaced the ballast in the kitchen flourescent fixture. They cleaned and chemically conditioned the power center fuse box, and reseated some of the loose breakers. They tested the "dead" outlets to make sure they were now functional. They finished the job very quickly without any delays or interruptions. I've been very happy with the service they provided and have not had any problems with those items they fixed.I would not hesitate to call them again if I have any need for additional electrical work.
