Left two phone messages (I don't think anyone works reception). Both messages were returned >2 days afterwards. Their appointment services must be amazing because their point-of-contact customer service is terrible.

The electricity went out in our kitchen on a Saturday, when we had company staying with us. This included our stove/oven/toaster oven and aquarium so we really wanted someone who could come sooner than later. Danny was responsive when I called him and returned my calls within a reasonable amount of time. He explained how he had the night shift and the only time he could come would be 7am on Sunday-his last call. My husband said he complained the whole time, about the ladder going into the attic, not being able to get around in the attic and the way the electrical was set up, etc. He worked for 2hrs trying to diagnose the problem and was only able to check and test a small section of the wiring before he finally gave up. The part he couldn't get to, he left disconnected. In the end, he said he couldn't charge us because he didn't fix it, which we thought was very decent of him. Later Sunday we tried using the toaster oven (the section he had fixed). It came on but shorted out again. The next guy we called came Monday, found that the splice added by Thor shorted out. He removed the spliced section and fixed the whole problem in 15minutes.The reason why it shorted out the 2nd time was because the splice Thor had done was improperly installed.

The first time we hired him was for a rental property. He came out at an odd hour in the evening to check an alleged spark. He fixed it and charged nothing to a minimal amount for the trip - can't even remember exactly, I was so impressed. This evening, we had some power outage at our house and I remember his name/quality of work. I called and left a message. He called within five minutes and said he was already in the neighborhood... He came and fixed the problem... just like last time - always on time, always nice, always fixing the problem, and everything at a reasonable price.

Regardless, not calling someone back is unprofessional.

Since the smell comes and goes and was not present during his visit, he could not identify a specific cause. However, he checked out things thoroughly and assured me that everything looked to be in good working order. He gave me an idea of something I can watch for, but nothing seems to be in eminent danger.

Danny was great to work with. He stayed late to finish the job. There was a short in one of the circuits and he fixed it while he was there for a minimal fee. I would definitely use him in the future for any electrical work I would need done in my house. He was very professional.

We have been without power in our kitchen and living room for the past three days. We called around and finally checked Angies List, and that's where we found Danny Hixon with Thor electrical. He arrived when he said he would, and found the short that caused our problem. He also fixed our kitchen lights, which have been out for three years. He was here fur just under two hours and charged us much less than we anticipated. There was no service fee, and his rate was far below any of the other electricians we had called.. Danny advised us that he's been working in his trade for over 25 years. I highly reccommend him for any of your electrical needs. Thor Enterprises came out and replaced a breaker in the breaker box that kept tripping when the hot water heater came on. The town home is over 40 years old. The electrician replaced the breaker and cleaned the others. Everything is now working fine. The cost of the repair was much less than other companies' estimates. The other estimates insisted on replacing all the breakers and the breaker box at costs of $3000 to $5000. The electrician, Danny Hixon, was very nice to my elderly mother-in-law (who owns the town home), explaining the work to be done and the completing it in a very timely manner. We will definitely be using Thor Enterprises for all our electical needs in the future.

My air conditioner started tripping the circuit breaker around 7/3. I contacted Thor to come out and they fit me in their schedule the day after the fourth. The old Breaker box (Synsco) was 35 years old and no longer supported. In addition it appeared to be arcing and was a fire hazard. Thor recommended replacing the box which I suspected was needed before they came out. They were very professional and replaced the box in about 4 hours. I am very satisfied with the work and the product they installed.

Quick and precise. I called and left a message, they responded and fixed the problem that same day.

This was a really badly done job, in more ways than one. We had called them to fix an issue with our outdoor GFI - since we were not getting any of our external lights. We had tried to get this done by our insurance first, but they refused to cover external breakage, hence we had to call Thor. Here are the issues that we encountered: (1) they took a whopping 5 hours to debug the issue, and then at the end of it came to the same solution that the insurance approved providers had come to, and which I had already told them when they arrived (2) broke a light fixture in the process of testing - however they did replace it before they left (3) spent a long time adding some insulation to the pool equipment - even though that was not in their original charter However, what disappointed us off the most was, even though they left after promising to come back and finally fix the issue at a later date, they never ever took our phone calls or returned our repeated voicemails. After spending for 5 hours of "investigative" work, we essentially were left with no solution to the original problem, nor a followup. They can definitely improve on their professionalism.

The electricians were prompt and courteous. They had to return to the shop to get the larger fuses, but returned promptly. I was pleased with their work.

They came right on time. Explained the work they would do. They finished the work very quickly. Seemed very professional until I had already paid them and thought they were leaving. They had forgotten that since I had the surge protector put in they needed to put in a new ground rod.. Of course this was an additional cost. I didn't like the way they put in the ground rod. It is at an angle in the flower bed. Would have preferred that it be straight up and down. All in all I was satisfied with the work they did but thought they were a little high. I didn' t get another estimate so really don't know if they were too high.

Excellent! Two guys got right to work. Assessed the situation and said we should replace the fixtures, as I had expected. Old ones were 50 yrs old! , changed out the switch I didn't have confidence in. I, unexpectedly, asked them to remove an old ceiling fan while they were here. They did a great job and cleaned up when done. Steven and Jose seemed like good guys and I have confidence in their work and assessment of the job. Will DEFINITELY use Thor again! Thanks guys!,

When I called for a quote, the rep asked me all about the kind of lights I needed. He suggested a better model with less expensive bulbs that are easier to change than the ones I thought I wanted. They were priced about the same. On the day of the work, they didn't show up. When I called the manager apologized profusely and said they would be out later that day. He had forgotten to put me on the master schedule. They did show up around 4:30 that day and did all the work by 7 pm. The company bought the lights, installed them and cleaned up thoroughly. Even with the mix up on appointment time, it was a great job.

Danny was extremely responsive to our calls and straightforward on his assessment of the situation. The townhouse we had under contract was built in 1973 and had aluminum wiring, along with a variety of smaller issues that had been noted on our general inspection report, and he frankly and realistically discussed what work would and would not be necessary. The inspection was not actually performed because we decided to not purchase the townhouse, but we intend to use Thor for any future electrical needs we may have.

They were really responsive, and got back to me very quickly. They are coming out today to do the job. It was much appreciated as the job needed to be done ASAP.

Mr. Hixon responded quickly to my message. When he called, he asked for information about the problem and the brand of breaker box. He quoted a very reasonable price and was out to my house within the two hour time frame he gave me. He quickly and (to my eyes anyway) expertly fixed the problem while explaining what he was doing and answering my questions. He charged me less than the quote. I will definitely be recommending him to my friends. Once again Angie's list comes to the rescue.

Danny scheduled to come out on thursday 1pm, but said he had a busy schedule, at 5pm I atttempted to call office, called at 6pm and was able to leave message. Danny called back that night and said he would be out 12:30pm next day. Danny arrived promptly this time, he addressed ceiling fan issue, and while he was there I asked if he could change 5 outlets for me that were loose or difficult to use. I have used him in the past and he is very knowledgable and will help fix problems I forgot to mention.

Danny is the definition of ROCKSTAR!!! I checked Angie's list and Thor Enterprises was the highest rated & best reviewed electrician. I called him up, left a voice mail first thing in the morning. Did not hear back, phoned again in the afternoon and was called back. Danny made time in his busy day for our few items that needed attention for the sale of our home. My husband was present during the repairs and had nothing but the highest regards for Danny, his work, his professionalism, and him as a person. He was polite, knowledgeable, and got the items done in no time at all. We are building a new house and I promise that if we need any electrical work done, Danny will be getting another phone call from us. Thank you SO much, Danny. You are amazing!!!!

We wanted to install a whole-house surge protector for our new house and called Thor Enterprises based on their reviews on Angie's List. The owner, Danny, clearly explained what systems he installs and what the price would be. His system was more expensive than those being offered by other companies, but I took Danny at his word that the surge protector was a high quality one and priced accordingly. I scheduled the installation for the day we moved in. He and his assistant arrived on time and worked quickly and efficiently. Danny clearly explained the operational details of the system. On a separate note, when I first contacted Danny I asked him some questions I had regarding a particular aspect of the grounding system of the house, and even emailed him some photos of what I was trying to describe. Danny answered my questions clearly and satisfactorily (though I had to give him a follow-up phone call to my email when I didn't receive an email response). Overall I have no concerns regarding the quality of service we received from Thor Enterprises.
