They did some circuit that I thought was down and I tried tracking it myself and couldn't do it. I called them and they happened to be over in another neighborhood and they said they would come over right after they finished there which they did in a matter of an hour and they tracked it down and repaired it. Something wasn't wired correctly by the builder and they wired that their charge was very good. I would use them again in the future. It was quick service and I didn't have to wait until the next day.

I was blindsighted by his price. I called Monday afternoon and left a VM. I received a call from Danny the next day early in the morning. He was polite and professional. Danny was able to go to my rental house the same day and meet with my tenant. My tenant reports that Danny was on time, professional and fast. He was in/out in an hour. Overall I give Danny a B. Good work that comes with a hefty price for his time.

I had called Danny Hixon several weeks ago to setup an appointment to come to my parent's home to do electrical work. I chose Thor Enterprises because of all the good reviews, ratings and because he's a licensed electrician. I knew my mother would only want someone licensed because of issues we had before when we tried to find someone to do electrical work. My parent's home was built in the 1950s, so I was concerned there might be issues with the electrical wiring. Fortunately, Danny put my fears at ease. We had setup an appointment time for 9:00 a.m. for 05/19/14 -Monday. Unfortunately that did not happen. Danny called me about 8:45 and let me know that he had two vehicles not working and two of his employees had called in. I could tell he was distressed about the situation. I remember how good the reviews were so I said that was fine. I had already taken the day off from work. He said he would get out to us as soon as he could. Once before in an emergency, I had call Thor Enterprises because I had a heavy light fixture come loose from the ceiling from an improper installation that I did. I called Thor Enterprises frantic and I asked that they come out as soon as they can. What I remember from that incident that although Danny was not able to come right at that moment he did call me back instantly and said he would come out that day but it would be much later. I appreciated the fact he called me back quickly. Fortunately, I was able to resolve the problem. Danny did call me back later to follow-up and check to see if I still needed him to come out to fix the ceiling fixture. Because Danny had follow-up with me and again all of the good reviews; I was willing to give Thor Enterprises (Danny) the time he needed to get back-up and running. Danny called me about 3:45 to tell me he was on his way. He was on the other side of town and with traffic at that time of day he would be at my parent's home about 5:30. I have to say, I was a little upset by this time. However, I'm glad I waited and gave them the chance because I was extremely happy with the work and with Danny and his assistant, Jose did. They were worth the wait. As soon as they came in I told him what needed to be done and had I mentioned that Danny needed to talked to my mother because she was very specific about the concerns she had about the outlets in the house. We had an outlets in the kitchen and the living room that we hadn't used in years because we were concerned that they may not be safe. Once we discussed all that needed to be done; he quoted me about 350.00 - 450.00 price depending on what might come up after checking the wiring. After we discussed the price, Danny and Jose went to work. They started in the living room and worked their way back. By the time they finished they had checked and repaired 6 outlet wiring and taken down two ceiling fan fixtures and replaced with new fixtures and repair a bathroom lighting fixture, and a lighting fixture in my father's room. This all took about an hour. After all the delays it was worth the wait for Danny and Jose and the work they did in my parent's home. I would wait again. I have peace of mind. In my opinion, Thor Enterprises (Danny and Jose) are in high-demand because they do good, honest work for a fair-price. That is just so hard to find. Danny could easily charge more because his skills and time are in high-demand. Unfortunately, he has the same problems as we all do. Vehicles that break-down, traffic delays, people that get sick, and so on. I wanted to give a honest review because I rely on these on reviews to make good choices. I know I will be calling Thor Enterprises again for any electrical issues that may arise again. I won't mind waiting if I have too.

I left Danny a voice mail Wednesday morning and he called back within five minutes. I explained that I have an island in the kitchen that has two electrical outlets that stopped providing power on Tuesday after the rain and that I could find no other power outage in the house. All other switches and outlets worked so I reset all the gfci switches and relevant breakers to (hopefully) fix the problem. It didn't. Danny walked me through the process of resetting the gfci switches over the phone and wanted me to try again because he did not want to charge me for a house call just to push a button. This did solve the problem and power to the two outlets was restored. I appreciate that he did not take advantage of the situation.

Scheduled a time for Danny to swing by and get a quote. He was the only electrician I had called that decided he needed to show up in person. After a quick meet, he gave me a quote well below the competitor's, and what's more - he was more than willing to work with us on our schedule, coming in on a weekend to do the work. He came in with one assistant and they got to work on replacing the unit. It took about an hour in total, which I consider extremely quick. I was watching him perform the work. He had previously informed me there may be some minor drywall damage required in order to complete the job. I was informed of the areas that were going to be affected, why, and given notice. Danny informed me of a few of the features of the panel, and instructed me on warranties (his own and the manufacturer's) in regard to the surge unit and panel. After he had restored power and left, we individually checked the breakers on the new panel (a vast upgrade) and marked them. They had not been marked really well even before he had come. All breakers work perfectly. Now we have home surge and extra space on the panel. His price was more than good, he beat out all the competitors I called and was willing to work on a weekend. It has been two weeks, and I've had no problems yet with the new panel and surge unit. It feels good to know my family will be safer with these installed. Great guy, knowledgeable, patient, professional. Good to work with. Will be recommending to my friends, and anyone else who requires electrical services.

Called on a Saturday and Danny came out the same day. He arrived on time and performed the work satisfactorily. I would certainly use Danny again.

After agreeing on a price, Danny suggested doing the job on the same day even though it was getting late since he was in the general area. We agreed and he and his helper, Orlando, showed up on schedule at about 6:30pm. The fan was to be installed in the master bathroom in the same location as a canned light. The job went as planned, with nothing unexpected. Danny was able to install the fan brace without getting into the attic, and the canned light was preserved and left in the attic in case we or a subsequent owner wanted to remove the fan and use the canned light again. Both Danny and Orlando were very polite and professional and I definitely plan to use Thor Enterprises in the future on any electrical job.

I had one outdoor power outlet stopped working sometime ago. I called Thor Enterprises and Danny was able to reply my call in one hour. He fist asked what year was my house built and gave me some safety tip for power outlet. I was able to find the correct outlet and recovered the outdoor one. Thanks to him not only safe me money and time but also earn my trust for future business.

prompt response time, followed up with a call when he experienced a delay due to an emergency job. Very professional work replaced switches with dimmer switches removed several outdated fire alarms and lighting systems, checked the fuse box was able to identify and fix problems with electrical plugs. We had used an after hour electrician for some previous electrical work as it turns out the work was not up to standard and Thor Electrical fixed all aspects. The work was done in such a way that we recognize it is to standards. the price was very fair for the work that was requested. We will use him again.

I cannot remember what he charged me but I was supprised at good deal. If I have any electrical problems I would not call anyone else. I had an estamate 6 months ago from one the most well know electrical contractors and he said it would cost me $5000.00 to replace my braker box. I thank I paid under $800 for Thor.

He called back quickly, showed up a few hours later to take a look and after a brief discussion he completed the work in a few hours. He also identified another potentially dangerous problem which he was able to fix on the spot, plus I added another last minute request to add an outlet, which he also took care of on the spot. I actually had the new breaker box I had picked up several years ago, before the hurricane, because I knew they panel was going bad, but was latter focused on recovering from the hurricane and forgot about it. At that time the estimates where running around $1,500 including everything. I was quite concerned since I could see sparks and hear the connection arcing (sp?) he seemed concerned and called me back a few minutes later to take a look. After seeing it he said that it could go any minute, my feeling also, and said he would take a look at the panel I had and if it would work he could do it right there an then. He later identified where the previous home owner had rigged a connection using some bad wire, the insulation on the wire actually fell off when he touched it. He told me he could not hook it up that way unless they had time to figure out where it went. He did find it and was able to run a new wire and reconnect that part of the house again. I ask him to run another wire for the microwave while he was at it and they did immediately. In the end, I likely kept my house from burning down, got the job taken care of plus a few additional electrical repairs, for less than I was quoted several years ago. He allowed me to use some equipment I had purchased and that allowed me to keep most of my breakers, I did replace the melted ones. I am extremely happy with the service and would hire and recommend them to anyone who ask. I actually had no problems or concerns with them from start to finish.

Outstanding service and price was very reasonable. This electrical problem has been intermittent and has been very difficult to troubleshoot, as it only occurred after a driving rainstorm, and then self corrected itself when the ground dried. It drove my husband crazy trying to find it, and as an engineer, he really hated to throw in the towel and get professional help. The Thor technician found the short in an underground wire, which had been installed by another contractor to create a power source for a water feature. The wire should not have been there, and actually created an electrical code compliance issue which the Thor technician also resolved. The issue has never arisen since. I would highly recommend these guys!

I called this company intending to use them since they had such glowing reviews on Angies List. However, when I called I got a voicemail, which promised prompt callback. I left a message on the morning of 3/10/2014, but did not get a callback until 3/11 around 12:45PM. I tend to give contractors no more than 24 hours to call me back (which I consider MORE than generous), so when my personal deadline rolled around, I contacted another top-rated provider on the list, and had an electrician at my house in about 4 hours. Only reason i did not rate lower than a B rating is that they did call me back, and they were extremely polite and apologized once I told them I went with another provider.

My pool equipment stopped working and the pool service said the problem was electrical. I had two other electricians out before I called Thor, one told me I needed a "real" electrician, and the second gave me a price but couldn't explain what he would do (after I had waited two weeks for an appointment. Neither could do anything right away. Danny Hixon with Thor Enterprises came the same day I called (12/26), and did a temporary fix for $235 that kept my pool operating until I was ready to do the repairs on Jan 20. For $1200 he ran new lines for the pool equipment through the attic, adding an additional line at my request and got the pool equipment back on. I was impressed with Danny's promptness to my needs and his knowledge of the problem. I would definitely recommend him and I would use this service again. Linda Migura

They are so prompt. I needed help A.S.A.P because of a time window with my foster paper work. They were understanding and showed up 1 day later. I overheard that the inspector had to reschedule a doctor's appointment to make it. He was pleasant and fair. I recommend them whole heartedly.

We had a light switch melt after another contractor plugged in some equipment to an outlet on the same circuit. We turned off the circuit but wanted to be sure everything was OK. I left a message for Danny. He called me back quickly and offered to put me as the first call of his day the next day. He agreed to come at 6AM since I had to leave the house by 7. Danny and his assistant, Orlando, showed up promptly at 6AM, tested the circuit and replaced the light switch. He then explained what happened and how his installation would keep the same thing from happening on that switch. Danny and Orlando are both nice, professional people. I'd use them again and strongly recommend them to anyone needing an electrician.

He was very professional, everything was good and it went real well. The quality of work was fine.

It went very well. The workers were very organized, came in, did the job, and we will use them again. We don't have anybody to compare it too but we think the price was fair. They did a great job but it took us a little while to get hold of them, and they were exactly when they said they would be there. I didn't see them myself but my husband did and he thought they're very professional.

Called Danny because we could not find the reset button for back yard outlets. He located it behind some wooden slats in the garage. Also consulted regarding appliance safety and electrical connections (newly moved into home) Installed surge protection. Professional, knowledgable, prompt and courteous service. Would definitely use again and recommend to friends and neighbors.

Danny Hixon is absolutely THE BEST, most honest, professional, knowledgeable licensed electrician in Houston! I found this out when I first came across his company posting on Angie's List and wanted to have my home electrical system checked out. I had been told by another company I needed a brand new breaker box! That was not the case at all and when Danny told me all I needed was to replace one part in the breaker box, he won my trust right then and there. He also installed a whole house surge protector for me at a very reasonable price. This summer, I decided to purchase a NG generator for its affordability and efficiency vs. a manual gas generator or whole house generator. I contacted Danny to come out and go over what all would be required for the installation of this type of generator. I sought Danny's advice for each phase of this project, which was invaluable to me as a senior female trying to make smart decisions on something I knew very little about. The project started in the summer but took awhile to complete due to a number of factors--mainly getting all the needed supplies/parts for everything to be set up correctly and safely which it is now all hooked up and functioning properly and I feel very secure that should there be a power outage in the future, I am all set. Danny walked me through every step of how to hook everything up, get the generator started, familiarized me with the main breaker and the generator breaker, valves to turn on and off, etc., etc. I cannot say enough positive things about Danny. He is a very busy man and while things had come up where he could not be here as planned, he always informed me of the situation. For any electrical need I may have in the future, Danny Hixon/Thor Enterprises, will always be my only choice for service.

I was unable to be there when the service technician, so I left my back door unlocked to allow for their access. I had purchased two new smoke detectors to replace the ones malfunctioning. They came by and did the work, which looked OK. However, when I came home, the upstairs smoke detector was putting out that shrill chirp it makes when the battery is dead. I am somwhat handicapped and it is a real challenge for me to get up onto a step ladder. At first, Danny said they would try to get by and look at it the day I called. However, when I arr4ivied home the next day, it was still chirping. I called Danny back and he said the battery was no provided by them, so it was not their responsibility. He said they would charge $50 to come back and fix it.I finally crawled up on the ladder and changed the battery myself. Had the battery gone out gone out days after their service, I could blame poor luck. However, since I came home to the problem on the same day they repaired it, I consider it fair and equitable to expect it to work properly.

They were GREAT!!! The first crew was unable to fix the problem, because of antiquated and confusing wiring in our attic. They called Danny, the owner, and he came within two hours. The new team of 4 spent a couple of hours, tracking down the wiring, testing, retesting. Everything works! A previous electrician had said that there was no way the problem could be fixed without rewiring the entire house, and gave us an estimate of $20,000. He said the knob & tube wiring was totally out of date and unsafe. We asked Danny about rewiring the house (which is about 70 years old). He said it would cost about $8000 - $9000, but that the wiring is in relatively good shape, and that there isn't really anything wrong with knob and tube.

Danny and his crew spent several hours repairing and installing. They were professional and thorough. I would use Thor again.

They trouble shot an electrical line that was not connected to a chandelier. They had to run an electrical line through the wall. They left a mess in my house even though I gave them my vacuum to clean up the sawdust. I'm not sure I will use them for future projects.
