After I made my initial call, Danny the owner called me within 10 minutes and was very courteous on the phone and said he would be at my location within the hour. After about 35 minutes, he showed up as stated and very quickly analyzed the situation, showed me the problem and fixed it promptly. Very knowledgeable and also had some good tips for the future and I felt very comfortable and also need to mention this was late evening during a week day.

We selected Danny and his crew after an unsatisfactory installation of an outside GFCI outlet involving our swimming pool equipment. Our initial experience with the other company left us with a new outlet that was unusable as it was miswired and we had no electricity to our pool filter. While Brand X tried their best to correct the issue, they eventually suggested that we contact someone that had more experience with swimming pool wiring. Thor Enterprise corrected the problem within an hour and our pool is up and running again! Thor was prompt, professional, and VERY knowledgeable in the proper way to wire such an outlet. We can highly recommend their services.

What a wonderful find on Angie's List! The people at Thor Enterprises are all highly professional, skilled and remarkably quick to return calls and do the work. I need extensive electrical work done and will use Thor Enterprises this summer.

It went great. I wavered between giving an A or B for responsiveness, as I had to call a few times to actually get a time scheduled, but decided on A eventually. They don't seem to answer their main line, but usually give you a call back the same day after you leave a voice mail. So, after a couple calls, we were able to schedule an appointment for the next day, which is pretty good. Plus I received a follow up text message checking in on my satisfaction and they even answered a quick call to ask a question. I wasn't able to get an exact time they would come out, but they gave me a call an hour before, so I had plenty of time to make it back home to meet them. I'm sure they could have a more exact time if I had schedule further in advance, but this was pretty good given they could come out the next day. Two people came out right one time, who were both very professional and friendly. I had mentioned only wanting a couple things done on the phone when I scheduled the appointment, but decided to do a few more things once they arrive, which they did no problem. I asked for the prices of each install up front (which were very reasonable). When I received the bill, the prices were the same as the quotes, so no surprises. Their work looked great. Very pleased. Also, I had schedule another electrician a while back from a different company, who said they couldn't install the outlets I just had installed by Thor, as it was too difficult. Thor had no problem installing everything I asked and did it pretty fast (only a couple hours) given the amount of work (cutting out brick and dropping new lines down walls in a small attic). Next time I need an electrician, I will definitely be going back to Thor. They did a great job, their prices are very competitive, if not better than others and apparently they can do work that other electricians can't.

It went great! I'm late with this review (very late) - because I just realized I did not leave one. Danny was very professional, fast and definitely knew what he was talking about. If I have any future electrical problems, you can bet I'll call Thor!

Danny is a truly reputable electrician. I wanted a professional electrical inspection of my home, including the electrical panel to make sure there weren't any maintenance issues that I need to take care of to prevent long term complications. He arrived on time and performed an excellent job. He inspected every screw and wire of my electrical panel, and applied an inhibitor paste to prevent oxidization of the aluminum entrance wires. While this may seem like a simple task, there were three large "live" electrical wires that required anti-oxidant. Getting access to the wires required serious professional skill and could not be done safely by a novice at home. After servicing the electrical panel it is as good as new, or better. In my opinion, knowing that my electrical panel will function properly for years to come is well worth a couple hundred dollar investment. During inspection of my home he noted that my ground rod was likely never replaced, making it 28 years old. He put in a gigantic new rod for $100, which is on par or better than the average price for such an installation. One thing that sets Danny and Thor Enterprises apart from other companies that I have worked with is he gives it to you straight. If you don't need a repair or upgrade, he will not recommend it, even if he could earn a higher profit. That is the kind of person I look for to take care of my repair needs for years to come. Overall, I highly recommend Thor Enterprises/Danny to evaluate and repair electrical issues in your home. He will give you a fair price, and perform a professional job for your electrical needs. If electrical issues arise in my home, he will be the first person I call.

I was awakened during the night by flashing lights and crackling noises. My lights went off and on intermittently. I had had trouble with flickering lights and was told by another electrical company that had just replaced some lighting fixtures for me that my house was old and that it was normal. They agreed to send someone out to check on it but never showed up. I checked Angie's list and selected Thor because of excellent reviews. I called at 7:00 that morning and told them of my problem. Although they were fully scheduled that day, they worked me in because of my emergency. Danny and his crew arrived on schedule. I told him of my scare during the night and he checked everything and quickly determined the problem was in my almost 50 year old breaker box. He showed me the problem and explained the cause in words a novice could understand. He gave me a competative price (including a senior citizen discount) and went right to work purchasing and installing a new breaker box. I am so grateful for the professional and caring service I received and would strongly recommend them to everyone. PS. I slept really well last night.

The entire experience with Thor Ent. couldn't have been any better. From the time they arrived to a**** the damages our home had sustained after the lightning strike we were completely at ease with all personell involved. At a time when many contractors would swoop in and take advantage of a homeowner in our situation, knowing that our homeowners insurance would be footing the bill for our repairs. This actually did happen with OTHER contractors who came and provided estimates, but I digress. Thor provided only the services and repairs we actually needed. In addition, they actually helped us identify other Angie 's List providers to help with other damages out of their realm of expertise. I would both use them again and recommend them to everyone I possibly can.

They worked hard and found the problem - why there was no electricity in half of the house. Where another provider told me that I should replace wiring for the whole house.

We smelt something burnt in our den and did not know what the problem was. So we called a few electric repair providers. Danny was the one that could come within a few hours on the same day. It turned out that one of outlets burnt out due to bad wiring.They rewired it and replaced the cover in 10 mins. They were punctual and professional. The only thing was the price. I thought it was a bit pricey for the job that's done. Other than that, everything else was fine.

Our home we purchased has had an ongoing electrical problem for a few years now, even after hiring ?well known repeatable companies? ?.. the problems still persisted. Reading the reviews for Thor Enterprises I gave them a call- Danny & Austin listened to my issues and went about methodically working on them. They were prompt, polite & kept their work areas clean. Their company rate for the work done was reasonable, throughout the process they kept me informed as to what they were doing ? true professionals. Very prompt and courteous. The switch was changed quickly and the bathroom light fixture was completely repaired, even changing the florescent bulbs. Before repairs, the florescent bulbs would come on only after turning the light switch at the wall several times, off and on, off and on, etc. We knew the bulbs were not the problem as we had changed these out with new bulbs prior to calling Thor. Both these repairs were done in an excellent manner and we are very satisfied with Thor's work.

Our circuit breaker started tripping yesterday and we noticed it was hot. We had a friend come look at it and said we need to get a master electrician. This morning, it did it again and I called Master Danny. If I could give him an A+, I would. He saved us from a potential burned house if we had not acted on it ASAP. Moreover, Mr. Danny noticed what was wrong right away and was very efficient as he worked. Husband and I are very pleased with his service and his ability to give us back our peace of mind. He will now be our "to-go-to" electrician for all future needs. We cannot thank you enough, Mr. Danny!

Excellently. Team members were courteous, professional, displayed a knowledge of what the job required and made sure that the necessary equipment there was a constant effort to protect the household furniture and wooden floors. I was told that it was their goal to leave a home as undisturbed as possible. I did notice a humm in one of the fans latter that evening and informed Danny of this. He sent his team to rebuild the scaffolding and corrected the issue. I am very pleased with the results and gladly rec omens him and his team for any electrical work which you may need in the future.

Danny is a true professional. He did an excellent job and saved me a lot of money. An A/C repairman had previously told me that the A/C unit had to be replaced. Turns out all that was needed was a larger breaker! I highly recommend his work and intend to call him for future work.

Excellent service. Responded promptly to call and was right on time for arrival. Diagnosed and corrected the problem quickly. Also, did a maintenance check on all of my breaker boxes which was nice. I got away cheaper then I had expected. Will definitely use Danny again in the future.

I gave a C for punctuality because they were 4 1/2 hours late and I didn't receive a call explaining the reason for the delay. I had to call them and they explained that there was an issue with a previous job. When I had called for an estimate Danny Hixon (owner) quoted $500.00 and approximately 4 hours work. When they arrived they surveyed the job and explained that if they had to move any electrical so the fixtures were where I wanted it would cost more, they also explained that they did not repair drywall. I understood that and gave my okay for them to begin the work. All the fixtures were still in the boxes so they also had to put them together before they could install them. They were very efficient and got all the fixtures assembled and installed with no problem. The problem came when they started on the conversion of the recessed light to a pendant light. The conversion kit that I bought was not right and they didn't have the correct parts for the conversion because I had told them that I had the kit. They went out and bought the correct parts and the conversion was completed perfectly. The job took 6 1/2 hours because of the issue with the conversion. I was sure that the bill would at least double from the estimate because of the issues that they encountered. I was pleasantly surprised when Danny only charged me $100.00 more than the estimate!!!!! He admitted that the job would normally have cost more but would stand by his estimate as much as possible!!!!! Being retired and living on a fixed income I really appreciated this gesture!!!! They removed all the old light fixtures and boxes and put the furniture they had to move back where it belonged. I would definitely hire them again for any electrical work needed in the future.

Danny was very responsive, conscientious, knowledgeable, and professional. An HVAC company had told me that the problem was electrical, but after about an hour of diagnosis, Danny was able to confirm that the A/C unit was the source. He disconnected the unit and wrote very clear notes, so I would know exactly what he had done. There was a miscommunication regarding part of the invoice, but Danny was quick to address it and was very focused on making sure I, as the customer, was satisfied. I would use him again.

Danny was very apologetic that his crew couldn't make it at the original scheduled time (Houston had experienced torrential rains/street flooding that morning), but nevertheless got a crew there later that same day. I explained what it was that I needed done and they completed the job quickly and professionally. I've been fortunate in never having had to have electrical work done at my house before, but others with whom I've spoken have stated the price was very competitive. Danny has also done work at my mom's house and she was very impressed with his dedication and thoroughness.
