What a great experience! Not worried about a fire breaking out. He checked behind another electrician when we became aware there was a quality of work issue. He was methodical and had 4 guys total at our house right away. Wow--- He fixed everything that needed to be done, did extra work we requested, and did it all in short order. If I have any other electric work to be done, I will not hesitate to call him again! Thank you Danny!

Mr. Hixon responded promptly to my phone call and visited my home on a timely and punctual basis. In addition to providing an estimate for needed repairs he offered me valuable advice on how to save the expense of other repairs that we were considering. Upon our acceptance of Mr. Hixon's bid, the job was scheduled shortly thereafter, and two very professional employees performed the repairs to our complete satisfaction. When searching for a contractor, it is always our hope that we will find one like Thor Enterprises and Mr. Hixon. Not only did he completely meet our expectations for the repair work, he exceeded them with his valuable advice and personal follow up after the job was complete. It would be a pleasure to work with him again.

Danny and his assistant were prompt and on time and very helpful with correcting my lighting problems. Making the appointment was simple and we staying in contact to confirm the correct appointment time. I will definitely use Thor in the future (very soon). This is my go to company for electrical issues.

I had called the company and left a message as instructed. Danny returned my call promptly and stated that he could be at our home in about 30 to 40 minutes because they were in the area. Danny and his assistant, Jose were very professional and were able to quickly identify the problem. Our electrical problems were due to a gfi that controlled the outside outlets. We are VERY satisfied with Danny's service and will definitely call him again and also recommend his company to family and friends.

I left a message with the the business owner, Mr. Hixon and let him know what I needed. He was very responsive and courteous. We were able to schedule pretty quickly, and he visited my home to provide an estimate. Mr. Hixon arrived on the appointed day and called ahead of his arrival. He was there on time and he and his assistant set about the installation. I made a few suggestions as to placement of outlets and lighting and Mr. Hixon provided his input as well so that things were done in a practical way. The process went smoothly and the installation was very tidy and professional. There was an increase of price on the job, but that was in part because I asked for an extra quad outlet. This price was a bit higher than I had budgeted for, but still competitive. I would highly recommend Thor Electrical and would use them again in the future.

I have an early 1960s house, so Danny (Hixon) came out to the house to take a look and give me a price quote. Since the breaker box was older, the correct part took a little while to source. However, once that was done, installation went smoothly. He's a really nice guy and tries to find ways to save you money. I would recommend him. Doing this setup (transfer interlock & portable generator) is a much more cost-effective setup than a fixed standby generator (such as Kohler or Generac), while still retaining most of the benefits. I bought a used 5,500 (7,000 starting) watt generator at a pawn shop for ~$300. I can conveniently power everything in my house, with the exception of the AC, but I only spent $1,000 (all-in), instead of $10,000 for the fixed standby. If we were losing power every week, it would be different case, but not for approximately 1 day per year.

Excellent service from start to finish. I called late Tuesday afternoon, and Danny returned my call within 5 minutes. Despite a very busy schedule, he came out at 8:00pm the next day to get our problem fixed. He even mentioned he had another customer to go help after us. He was very professional and polite, the quality of work was excellent, and he was done quickly. He replaced the GCI outlet in our garage which was acting up, and installed a new dedicated outlet for the freezer. Everything works properly now. I would highly recommend Danny to my family and friends.

I originally found Thor on Angie's list when I was a member a few years ago. I was extremely pleased with his work, his prices and his professionalism. So I called him to replace my old electric panel. I had gotten a few other bids, and surprisingly, his was the lowest, although I would have used him anyway. His crew, 2 young men, arrived on time and started to work immediately, The whole process was explained to me. The guys were extremely professional and very nice. Even my neighbor who was there when they first arrived was impressed by their professionalism. Centerpoint energy was the only problem because no one came that day to perform the temporary disconnect and they didn't show up until the next morning to perform the permanent reconnect, but the guys made sure we continued to have electricity in spite of Centerpoint. I have recommended Danny to anyone who will listen. I can't say enough good things about him are the crew he sent to do the work.

It was a terrible and frustrating experience. I had to email Danny twice before he responded with an appointment time to which he never showed up for. Nor, did he call.

They were very efficient, careful, and saved one of our favorite lights (one I thought I'd have to replace). I wouldn't hesitate recommending this company to any of my friends!

Danny is professional, knowledgeable, prompt and his service is reasonably priced? I?m very happy with his work and how he handles his business. I met 5 electricians to get estimates for underground wiring repair. Danny was the only one who provided a sensible alternative with a reasonable price in case the first option didn?t work. He assessed the problem. Answered all my questions. He sent me the proposal the same day after we met, got the permit ready for the repair next day. He and his crew finished the job in 1.5 hour the next day and he called and urged me to call Center Point to reconnect asap since he worried the next storm was coming and CP would be busy. He takes care of his customers.

Sent message to have provider look at a problem i was having with power in just one room of my house. Danny called me and i missed the initial call as i was working but sent a message that I would return his call. I returned Danny' s call and he with another customer at the time, but said he would get back to me and that I should send him a message with my address, description of the problem and my availability. I sent the message immediately and have not as yet received a response. The least he could have done was acknowledge that he received the message. I am really disappointed with Thor Enterprises as I have I have used them in the past with great results but i hesitate to use them again because of how i have been treated.

Danny Hixon is the best there is. He's extremely reliable, honest, patient, knowledgeable and down-to-earth. We feel much safer in our home because of him. I first enlisted him to do a comprehensive review of our old house's electrical system after we had moved in. He was thorough in his review (he made clear, concise notes and provided them to me), and he gave me the right amount of technical and practical information so that I understood things clearly. He was punctual and efficient in making his return to complete the planned work. When we subsequently encountered some flickering lights and wondered if it was related to our electrical system, we texted him (on a Sunday). He came out an hour later, and spent time making a thorough assessment of our home. It turned out there was a problem with the electric company's equipment. He stood with me while I contacted the electric company, and the problem was serious enough that the company sent out a crew the same day, and ultimately replaced a transformer feeding a large number of houses on our block. We would never have figured that out ourselves, and I doubt we would have been able to get the electric company to come out so quickly if it weren't for Mr. Hixon. Essentially, he did what we all wish every contractor or technician would do: he said what he thought, then he said what he was going to do, then he did it very well and did it on time and within budget, and then he backed up what he did with action and expertise. Working with Mr. Hixon has been one of the best investments we have made for our home. I highly recommend him without qualification.

When I called Danny and explained the problem we were having, he was patient and listened carefully. He even tried to help me fix the problem over the phone. I was surprised and happy that he was able to come out on the same day of my phone call. He was prompt and professional and had a since of humor. I am a stay at home mom who handles all of the service requests needed for our home. I wish they were all as nice and as professional as Danny was to me.

I am a repeat customer with Thor. Danny has done a great job and I have to give huge credit to Jose and Austin for the AWESOME service that they have provide. Great job!!! Definitely recommend using their services!! John

This summer's ridiculously hot temperatures punctuated by huge lightning storms caused our electrical breakers to trip multiple times. I called owner Danny Hixon on Friday night and left my phone number. He called me back and discussed what was going on at the house. Even though he had a full schedule on Saturday, he agreed to come over after he'd serviced the clients with whom he'd already made appointments. He asked me to take photos of the breaker panel and send him the images so he could make sure he had the correct materials to do the job. He kept in communication with me during the day and let me know when he was getting close to heading towards our house. Mr. Hixon and his assistant got right to work, checked out the AC unit breaker switches and determined that we needed higher amp breakers. I asked him to install a surge protector at the breaker box to protect our electronics during storms and power overloads. He quoted me a price and did the work that was needed. No nonsense, no up-selling, no scare tactics. He's the company owner, he's the licensed electrician, he came over on a Saturday afternoon and did the work himself. I was impressed.

Both of our A/C units went out within hours of each other on a Saturday night when the temperatures had been over 100 degrees. The A/C man came out the same evening and said he would bring back parts on Sunday to try to fix the units. He didn't show up until Monday night, after 2 days of sweltering heat, and informed us that we needed to contact an electrician to check the power boxes before he could work on the A/C units. At 7pm on Monday evening we were left with the task of finding an electrician. The first company we called from Angie's List said the earliest appointment they could give us was 10 days later. After reading the reviews for THOR Electrical, we gave them a call. We reached an answering machine and hung up, but Danny immediately called us back. He asked us to text him our address and pictures of our electrical boxes, and he came to our rescue. He arrived at our house by 8:30 Monday evening and had everything fixed within 45 minutes. Both A/C/s started running again. I have to thank the Lord for leading me to read THOR's review, and I have to thank Danny for coming to our rescue even after dark.

Mr. Danny Hixon called around 30min before his arrival, as schedule. He expertly tested the control box for our front yard landscape lights and determined that the box needed to be replaced. He replaced the box and fixed the broken light within an hour after his arrival. I appreciate the professionalism and prompt response to my electrical needs.

The Saturday evening before the family was set to leave on a week long vacation the main breaker tripped. I reset the breaker and it tripped again later that evening. Being concerned the breaker would trip while we were out of town and I would return to a refrigerator and freezer filled with spoiled food, I called Thor at 6:30 a.m. on a Sunday morning. Danny requested I send a picture of the breaker box and he promptly notified me that he had a main breaker he could replace mine with. He was onsite within the hour on SUNDAY morning and replaced the breaker. While he was there, he straightened up the breaker box (some double lugged wires) and checked the ground. Danny was very professional and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend. We were able to go on vacation worry free.

My daughter had a problem with her shower in that, whenever she was showering and was standing in a little water in the shower, she got electrical shocks. She asked me if I knew a really good, really trustworthy electrician. (She is v-e-r-y selective about whom she lets into her house.) I've used Danny HIxon several times and told her that I was always greatly satisfied with both his work and his honesty and personality. He came out to her house late on a Tuesday night and diagnosed the problem. No charge for that service call. Two young men who work for him came out the next day and did a great job on the repair. She was extremely pleased with both Danny and his workers. In fact, she told me that she wishes Danny were available to do other kinds of repair/remodeling work as well. I told her that I've always felt the same way about him. :)

After the emergency call at 10pm on a Wednesday night - when he wasn't able to fix the problem due to no fault of his own - Danny didn't charge us. (We offered him money and honestly were willing to pay him. Please don't expect this nice man to work for free.) He was so responsive, kind, and knowledgeable, because if the AC hadn't been broken, he would've fixed the fuse problem with an extra part from the oven (obviously, we cared more about having AC than a working oven). Danny even loved on our big, boisterous lab puppy. We wish we could have Danny fix everything wrong with our rental house, and we will always use Danny in the future when we own our own home and need an electrician. You can't go wrong calling Danny.

On Friday, he came to the house to give me an estimate. He said he would email it to me by Monday/Tuesday. Never emailed me. Called me two weeks later to ask me if I still needed the estimate. Obviously, I hired another company. When I tried to explain to him that I wished I had not wasted my time with them, he hanged up.
