There was NO evidence of any change in the condition of the house after The Maids-N. Houston "cleaned" the house! My initial phone conversation was with the owner, Michelle, who stated that she wrote down my specific concerns related to the items that she stated were included in this level cleaning. Michelle, also, reassured me that for a "move-in clean", she would include my concerns that the interior of the oven, refrigerator, microwave as well as cabinets, drawers and built-in shelving, (which were included in this level clean) that they would be written to her Staff so that they knew what I was, specifically, looking for in this Clean. I had to remind Michelle twice that the house would be EMPTY - no furniture to move, no rugs, no items to move at all, anywhere. I believed that she stated that it would be three-hours plus taxes, for five people. ($200+) RESULT: 1) The oven, which HAD been clean and only needed a wipe down, was not only NOT wiped down but was NOW dirtied with a sugary/sticky substance which indicated that it had been used by her cleaning Staff! 2) The hood above the gas stove was filthy - nothing had been wiped, let alone, cleaned . 3) The interior of the EMPTY fridge was not cleaned. The front of the "Fresh Drawer" bin was split open and had to replaced at a cost of $66.00. 4) There was no evidence that the drawers and cabinets had been cleaned on the outside or the inside. There was a sticky glob of some food left in one of the drawers that was left totally untouched - not even attempted. 5) They may have vacuumed the tile but did not clean the tile. ("Move-in Clean" is a higher intensity Clean, according to Michelle. which includes cleaning all surfaces and mopping all tile, vacuuming the carpeting.) They did not mop or clean any floors. 6) The microwave, which worked perfectly the weekend before their Clean, was, now, sparking and could not be used. it needed to be repaired at our cost. The cleaning Staff were the only people to have had access to the microwave. The Cleaning Staff didn't, even, clean up after their use of our appliances. (I had told all of this to Michelle, as well) 7) The glass shower walls were not cleaned. The two and 1/2 bathrooms were not cleaned (floors, mirrors, sinks, tubs and toilets, cabinets, drawers or counter tops) 8) The built-in drawers in both the Living Room and Master Bathroom clothes closet were not cleaned out, nor had any shelves in those two units been cleaned. 9) Windows and Sills, throughout three bedrooms and den, were not cleaned. 10) The ashes in fireplace were not cleaned out (vacuumed or swept), and mantle not cleaned - was dirty and dusty. We lived in Houston and had to ask someone in The Woodlands to meet the Cleaners to pay for their work, the afternoon of the 19th of August. The BILL: $500+, which the person gave them, in a check. She didn't look to see if they'd done a good job, IN AN EMPTY HOUSE it wouldn't be difficult for Cleaners to see what was to be cleaned, was her thought. Why $500+, I asked Michelle. She told me that her people had been working for several more hours. Yet, we paid alot of money, for the higher intensity Clean, and then, paid MORE money for MORE time, with NOTHING DONE AND WE ARE COMPLETELY DISSATISFIED!! When I called to tell her that I wanted the money back, she told me that she (Michelle) would have to speak with her Husband and get back to me. She did not get back to me. We had hired four people to unpack as the Movers moved us in, the 20th. We had to clean as best we could for things to be unpacked that day and the next (20th and the 21st). Cleaners came back to clean what hadn't been cleaned, supposedly, but, even though these two had been there the day before, they had no clue as to what needed cleaning - though they stood right in front of each of these areas. I directed them to a number of areas: the oven, which their best Cleaner told me was RUST!!! was instructed to use some "elbow grease" and get that stickty stuff cleaned. Magically, she was able to clean it! I had to bring the second Cleaner to the Master Bathroom drawers, where she had, still, not cleaned out the drawers - she, second time through those with me, finally vacuumed the pieces of dirt out of the drawers in the Master clothes closet. Then, I left the two to continue to clean the cabinets/drawers, bathrooms, as we had to leave for our Closing and couldn't watch over them. NOTHING WAS DONE ANY BETTER! I reported that to Michelle, as well. Michelle offered to come, herself, the next day. I told her that I had to pay one of the Unpackers to clean what they had not. $90. We could not wait since we'd paid to have the place unpacked. The cost of clean for the empty house $451.40 Frigidaire Fresh Drawer replacement $ 66.00 __________________________________________ $507.40 We have Witnesses to the fact that this is a Valid representation that what I have stated is True.

We do apologize you weren’t satisfied with your clean last August, over five months ago. That being said we sent a team of five to your home, worked for three hours ($139.00/hr.), and had your representative [member’s name removed] check our work and sign off. As is sometimes the case with move-in/out cleans, other people enter and exit the home after we’ve been there causing floors to get dirty. We realize this is the nature of what we do, and so when you called to complain we happily went back to fix any and all areas you were unhappy with as part of our 24 hour, 100% satisfaction guarantee. Several days later, we received another call, this time demanding a full refund because the range hood was supposedly missed and a broken refrigerator piece was found on an appliance you said the girls never cleaned in item #3. I would of thought you would of mentioned that the second time we were there. Even though we had surpassed the 24 hour period, I did offer to come out to clean the range hood myself. That’s when you told me you had already taken care of it. Perhaps you could reach out to the movers who spot cleaned for you – maybe they might know what happened to your refrigerator. We did reach out to you to offer you credit on future services but our call was never returned. We are truly sorry we weren’t able to come to an agreeable resolution and wish you well in your search for a maid service.
