The salesman came out and gave me an estimate was very pleasant and assured me the owner Kenny would do a fabulous job and my kitchen would look great. Kenny was very responsive and ALWAYS showed up right on time. However, the work was hurried and it was that of an amateur. I could have and would have done the job if I would have know the quality of the cabinet reface would be so poor. He did not take the time to properly sand the stiles before painting or installing the cabinets. They cabinets were sloppily painted--they need to hire a professional to paint!-and not even wiped clean of dust and sand before painted. Now I have little sand grandules behind the glass. Areas he told me would be "impossible to paint" because my granite installer used silicon, were miraculously prepped (sanded and painted by me--at the time 7 months pregnant...) and the paint went on fine. It took me 30 minutes to prep the area. It was then that I really regretting hiring this company. Additionally, I informed them that I was going to install a farmhouse sink and that the measurements were irregular. They acted like oh yeah they knew all about those and didn't need to see the sink or the measurements. Yet they showed up with cabinets that fit the old sink that had to be scrapped and their idea of blending in the wood stiles withthe base of the sink was very sloppy. I still need to fix that. Notice I mention "I". I, a non-professional cabinet installer can handle this time of minor repair. Yet they seemed very incapable or unwilling or annoyed to even have to. Another this, Kenny complained the whole time. I constantly heard him cursing and getting frustrated. I learned from the salesman that his girlfriend was just diagnosed with cancer and was in and out of the hospital. I am a reasonable person. I understand life can take some turns. I told Paul to tell Kenny go take a break. Don't come back to the house even to finish the job because he is unfocussed and hurried. But that didn't happen. Long story short. Rush job. Unskilled installer. Poor result. I look at my cabinets that I paid 5K for and I contemplate starting over...
