The Gutter Man

My gutters had not been cleaned for several years and were full of pine needles and leaves -- I even had a little tree that had taken root in the mess! They cleaned the gutters, and it finally rained while I was home to observe, and the gutters are back to doing what they're supposed to do! I'm very pleased.

Jeff called 30 min before arrival and explained clearly what he was going to do. He was quick and clean on the job. Will use this company again for future gutter cleaning.

Jeff & Nate came out to our home at the exact time they scheduled. The coupon stated they would clean 250 sq. feet of gutter for $75.00. They told me we had 317 sq. feet of gutter on the house. So the remaining amount would be $28.14 using the discounted coupon. This was very fair and I told them to go ahead with the remaining work for the extra $28.14. They did a great job and I was impressed with how well everything turned out. I will be using their services again in the future.

.Excellent. The gutters were cleaned and it was reported that there was slight damage to some shingles. They also recommended that I contact my neighbor about cutting back some of the tree limbs from his yard. They were also supposed to e mail me pictures of my roof for my records. However, I have not received them yet.

All went well.......except that my neighbor complained when gutter detritus ended up in her yard.

When they arrived they stated that my house had longer gutters than were included in the deal. I had to pay double. they found a leak in one gutter and I had them fix it, they fixed it during the same visit.

This is a family owned business that does EXCELLENT work. They are courteous and you could not tell they had been there -- they were very careful to clean up after the service. They were great. I would use them again -- absolutely. They DID NOT try to sell me additional services. I did ask that they look at other areas and we agree upon a very fair price for the additional work.

The crew that came to the house were very professional and efficient . They had all the right equipment for the work and provided a report when completed of what they did and any issues.

The experience was excellent. I would definitely use them again. I felt that they were very thorough with cleaning of the gutters. They took before and after photos to show me that they did clean the gutters. I also got a year's guarantee on the repairs on the gutter leaks.

Very professional. Only complaint is I had an appointment which they called to reschedule due to their mistake which was inconvenient.

I dont think I needed gutters to fix my problem; This company is in the business to install gutters if you need them or not

They showed up on time after a courtesy call to let me know they were coming. Upon arrival they introduced themselves and went right to work. They cleaned out the debris in my gutters then flushed them clean with water and picked up all the mess and took it with them. While here, they inspected my gutters and my roof to make sure everything was in proper working conditions. They were very friendly and professional. I would recommend them for any of your gutter needs.

The gentleman arrived on time and we talked about the limits of the coupon. I knew that my house was too big for the basic deal, but I got the same rate for the rest of the gutters. They were able to repair, add the splash guard and clean the gutters and the down spouts in about 2 hours. Great job- they will be back!

The work went very well. He was really punctual and really knowledgeable. He provided a lot of pictures of the gutters. He was very good about explaining what was going on, what they were doing, and what steps to take.

The gutter man office told me that they were going to be prepared to do the additional work at the same time they were going to do the coupon related work. They came out and did the coupon related work perfectly. I got the impression that they were not interested in doing any additional business with me. It was like they wanted to do the coupon work and move on to the next house. I was a little disappointed, because they missed out on an opportunity for additional work and the office told me that they were going to be prepared to do that. They did the coupon work and did a fine job with it.

The work crew arrived early and was very friendly. Then Mark arrived a few minutes later. He explained what he was going to do. He measured my gutters to tell me how many feet I had. The coupon only covered a certain amount of feet of gutters, which did not cover all my gutters. I was not surprised by this. He explained very clearly the extra cost for the additional feet and the extra cost because my gutters had screens over them that could not be removed. He explained that they might not be able to clean the gutters as well as they'd like because of the screens that could not be removed. He offered to refund the amount I paid for my coupon if I did not want to proceed. I asked him to just go ahead and clean the gutters. They started cleaning and discovered some leaking seams at several corners. He said he was not sure they couldn't fix them because they could not access the seams because of the screens. He then explained some of the "problems" with my gutter system and gave me an estimate to replace the entire system that day (or within the next few weeks). He showed me examples of their gutter system; we looked at my neighbor's gutters and he explained how their system was different, etc. I told him to just do their best to do the repairs (couldn't they just pull back the screens?), and that I was not buying new gutters right now. That was the end of the sales discussion. I did not feel a hard sales pressure after I said I was not interested in new gutters at this time. The continued working and repaired the seams that they felt they could reach. There was a charge for each corner/seam repaired, which he explained up front before they did the work. They worked very diligently and neatly and cleaned up after themselves. They pulled the gutter downspouts out of the ground drainage so all the stuff didn't clog that system; they put them all back in, except I noticed that one was still out of the ground after they left. Mark said to call him that happened and they would come back (I haven't gotten around to that because I think we can get it back ourselves). They also gave an estimate for a "discounted" annual gutter cleaning. Overall, I was very satisfied with their work and was comfortable having them at the house. A few comments for future users--I was not surprised to learn that the coupon was not going to cover all my gutters and thus the price would be more, but it made me wonder really how big ouf a house would the coupon cover (in other words, would anyone only have the pay the coupon amount?). So just be aware you likely will be paying for more feet than the coupon covers, but you will be told the cost before you authorize the work. And be aware there will be an attempt to sell you a new system and/or annual cleaning package, but I did not find this surprising or overly aggressive. I thought he was very professional and just doing what any business owner would.

They were polite, on time, efficient and I got what I paid for. I will definitely use them next time.

My overall experience was awesome. The Gutter Man crew arrived on time and cleaned my gutters. They thoroughly cleaned all debris before I left. The lead serviceman was knowledgeable and realistic. I did not feel pressure to upgrade or replace anything I did not want to upgrade or replace. Great experience over all. I would use them again and would recommend them to others.

Jeff and the crew (Rudy & James) were great! I purchased the $75.00 coupon for gutter cleaning. Jeff arrived on time to evaluate the complexity of the job. I have covered gutters which were not maintained by the previous home owner. Given the work was more involved then standard gutters, in that the covers needed to be removed, there was an additional cost of $100.00. No surprise, I contacted The Gutter Man prior to purchasing my coupon deal at which time I was made aware of the possibility of an additional charge. I am completely satisfied with the work. I would / will hire The Gutter Man again. Prior to buying coupon deals offered by Angie's list always contact the vendor to ensure you are aware of the work covered relative to the work you wish to have performed.

Very professional and more than I expected (ie. photos of everything). Pretty cool for a simple gutter cleaning. Highly recommended.
