The Gutter Man

They came right on time, got all our gutters cleaned for the price of the coupon, plus extra for extra footage at a really reasonable rate (can't remember exactly what, but low), plus fixed two corners that had gotten damaged. They also disconnected one downspout from the French drain for a small extra fee -- so there are extra fees, but they aren't huge. Cleaned up so that I wouldn't have known that someone had gotten all those leaves and twigs out of the gutters. I'm going to call them again next year, even without the coupon.

We had a couple of weather-related delays, but once the rains cleared up, everything went smoothly. They did an inspection, let me know about the birds that moved behind the AC pipes, and alerted me to needed repairs. They provided a quote on the spot, and competed the job in a timely fashion.

The Gutter Man cleaned the gutter on my house and garage. The techinician's did a great job. Everything was explained to me prior to the work commencing. I originally purchased a deal on Angiie's List for $94.00 for up to 250 feet of gutter and down spouts. He took accurate measurement of my gutter and down spouts and explained I would have to pay an additional $38.00 for the additional footage over 250'. They gave me a report of surface damage on my roof from the tree branches rubbing the roof and recommended I have the tree limbs cut back even more. They took extreme care while doing the work and cleaned up the area nicely when done. Now I am waiting for the rain to come to see how much better it all drains now that they have been cleaned. Great job!

He said he cannot get on the roof to do the cleaning because he did not think that the roof was a little slanted and he did not feel safe getting on it. However, he did address my concerns and was very professional, responsive and on time.

They arrived on time, got to work and finished in a reasonable time frame. They did not find any problems and recommended that I have another inspection in ~2 years. Did not try to bill me for any unneccessary services.

They did a great job. We asked that they send a supervisor could come out that would price the job AND be able to perform the job if the bid was accepted. He came out, bid the job, answered questions, provided an insurance certificate and when I approved the job, then he called the crew and they were there within 15 minutes. He stated that they do not bring the crew out during the bid because they find that to create pressure on the homeowner to have a crew waiting to work when the home owner is deciding to have the work performed. I appreciated that very much. I was very happy with the work done and will definitely use them again.

Arrived promptly after receiving courtsey notice via phone. Was careful to put down blankets to catch any debris/dirt/fire soils and also carried a vacuum. Promptly went to work and then reviewed the results with me. We had no issues and he also answered questions we had about the gas log system. It was money well spent.

Extremely polite, professional, and didn't try to sell me any unnecessary work. They completed the work timely and completely. The roof inspection was helpful to know that while the roof is in okay condition, it may need to be replaced in the near future. The owner that came out was very thorough in his review and offered a few suggestions about driveway drainage as well. Will be looking into a regular annual cleaning with this company and would highly recommend for your house!

They were very professional and friendly but we ended up going with another company due to a slightly lower quote.

They came on time, provided an estimate of the cost of the service, and then performed the service. They were professional and met my expectations.

The guys were very professional and efficient from the start. They did a great job cleaning and repairing what needed to be done. However the work performed was expensive and a $94 inspection and cleaning voucher from Angie's List ended up costing me almost $875. I'm not disputing the work needed to be done but the price seemed high. However the team themselves did a magnificent job and I am very happy with the results.

They were really great, I used them last year. I still plan on using them I just can't use the coupon.

The Angie'x List deal was for 250 linear feet. Mine measured 257 ft and they charged me only $10 more. They also did several minor repairs gratis. These guys were great and cleaned up everything (except for some leaves in my pool). They were very pleasant and professional. I will certainly use them in the future.

hey came out after we scheduled our appointment. I wasn't home but they called me during the entire job to update me. They did a great job and kept me informed throughout the process. Will use again in the future.

Gutterman showed up on time. Explained services to be performed. Cleaned out Gutters on my Two Story home. Blew out all gutters, washed all gutters and spouts out. Cleaned up all debri from the job and took all the debri with them. Excellent job.

Cleaned straightened and repaired gutters. Worked guickly and foreman stayed on job till finished. All professional employees. Only problem I had was getting scheduled as they were busy and so was I. Rain interrupted them but they finished regardless.

They sent out a crew that doesn't normally do installations. The minute they got here they asked me when the last time my gutters were cleaned.....they had just cleaned alibi tile over a month before! They also suggested screen covers for my gutters.......I have palm trees! I don't get that many leaves. The crew said they couldn't shorten the downspout as much as I wanted them to. I explained what I wanted as far as the added extensions. I showed them exactly what their company had done before and said that was exactly what I wanted. I even told the office when I made the appt. that I wanted it done exactly like their installer did before. After they left, yes I should have apparently watched over them, I noticed that they didn't even attach the extensions as I requested! They just left them loose and one of them had a screw attachment done but wasn't put on the downspout all the way and water just poured out between the gap. It seemed that the crew was more interested in selling me product/service than anything else and even if I had watched over them I don't think they were the right crew for the job so I would have had to get them to send someone else out anyway. I called told them the problem and they said they would send them back out, but I asked them not to send the same people and was told they would be sending the same people but the supervisor would be with them. When they showed up the supervisor was very agitated with me but did say the downspouts could be shortened like I had originally asked for. He said he needed to leave for another appt. and was very short with me. He kept pointing out that I needed to grade the flowerbed and I kept telling him I knew that but was waiting for the work to be completed first.....that I had done some of it.......but this was why I was having the downspouts shortened, because of the rather high bed. I even supplied some of the extension tube being used but that didn't seem to have any impact on the charge. A day or so after they left we had a good rain and the downspouts were still leaking! One of them was pouring water at the foundation. When I went out to find out why it was obvious the attachment on one of them was not right for the angle of the gutter and the other one was put on upside down! To this day I don't know why they didn't just look at the one that was done correctly by their installer! I showed it to them both times they were out. I called to tell them the downspouts were leaking. The supervisor called me back and was very kind as we were on a recorded line but I would have to pay if they came out again. Seems the second time they came out I would normally have been charged for. I don't understand having to pay more in order to do the job correctly as it should have been in the first place. I have had several communications with the supervisor via Angie'sList e-mail. He keeps saying I changed my mind. I never did! When I made the original order on the phone and when the crew showed up the first time I told them exactly what I wanted and showed them a perfect example. The supervisor has accused me of talking bad about their company......I don't think it's a bad company, they did fine work when they installed extra gutter for me a couple of months ago. But I can't deal with the supervisor, he said so much in his e-mails that simply wasn't true and he is a completely different in person, so much so that they did offer to come out a third time but it would be a service call and I would be charged, even though I sent them a video of the water pouring out where the gutter extension was installed. I asked for a refund unless an actual installer could come and correct everything. The supervisor said that he would come out again but frankly I can't deal with him, it's way too uncomfortable in person......so I told him I would rather let it drop and find someone else that was able to do it. He responded with agreeing to close my file on it but if I "changed my mind again", to let them know. I didn't take kindly to the "dig" but had to let it go as I kept repeating to him that I never changed my mind all I wanted was what the work I asked for in the first place. Everything was fine when they came out and cleaned the gutters and installed some new gutter and a downspout, they did a fine job. But it seems if there is an instance where something isn't right they would rather fight you over it. Why not send out the person that did it right in the first place rather than wasting time and money sending out others that usually do something different? And now the supervisor tells me my gutters are faulty........funny, they weren't during the cleaning and additional installation! When I had my gutters cleaned by them the first time it was pointed out that I was missing an elbow on one of my downspouts, they could put one on while they were there, they did and after they left I noticed they put a white elbow on it......I don't have white gutters. They did change it when the installer came to add more gutter but I had to request the right color. I have my gutters cleaned regularly and really thought I had found a great company but I can't do business with a company that very obviously didn't do the job right and won't admit it. I had someone else out and showed them the problem and they agreed that the attachments were not put on correctly. I will say their installer/s are great though.

I think that they did a fine job. They came out the first time and had to talk to my son first and so we had to reschedule. After that, everything went fine. They sold us some other services, so it ended up being closer to $300. I was a little aggravated about that. They were through and did a good job. I would probably use them again.

WHEN I COMPLAINED,I WAS TOLD THAT THE COMPANY IS NOT INSURED TO TOUCH OR PULL ANYTHING OUT OF THE DIRT, NO MATTER IF IT WAS SHALLOW MULCH. IF I HAD KNOWN THEY WERE NOT GOING TO TOUCH IT TO REALIGN IT WITH THE GUTTER DRAIN, I WOULD NOT HAVE PAID FOR ANYTHING EXTRA. IT TOOK ME 5 SECONDS TO PULL THE 3 FEET PLASTIC TUBING OUT OF THE MULCH, REALIGN AND ATTACH IT PROPERLY TO THE GUTTER DRAIN. |THEY DID WASH GUTTERS ON TOP OF ROOF,WHICH IS WHAT I ORIGINALLY PAID FOR.

The people I spoke with on the phone were all nice and helpful. We recently removed 2 large pine trees so wanted the needles removed from the gutters and roof. They cleaned the gutters and downspouts.
