The Gutter Man

Everything went well. Kind of pricey but I'm not sure what the typical prices are for this kind of work. Would've liked to have clearer pictures of replaced vent pipes since they cannot be seen from ground.

Gutter was cleaned. They havenot emailed picture of the roof inspection. They did a good job I assuming. I can't compare how the gutter looked before and after. Overall, professional in their job.

It went really well but I wish I knew ahead of time that vertical downspouts are included in the overall gutter footage. Because of that I had a lot more footage than what the Angie's List deal included and had to pay an additional $100. I had previously rated this experience an "A", however the response submitted by The Gutter Man is completely unprofessional and I won't be using the Gutter Man again. Very disappointing because I was planning on using this company every time I needed my gutters cleaned. I did make an honest mistake on the amount extra I paid, it was months ago and I don't have the bill in front of me; the point is that the AL coupon was not enough to cover all of my gutters and the fact that the downspouts are included in total footage was surprising to me since there was nothing at all to clean in the downspouts; gravity did that for me.

The guys were prompt and professional.

Gutter cleaning was fine but the repairs to the two corners were expensive. $75/corner.

Things went fine, and I appreciated the information I was given about the gutters, their installation and the condition of my roof.

There was additional square footage beyond the cost of the deal and there were additional fees. They also completed a small repair. The additional costs were unexpected, but it was okay. They did a fine job with the work and were very thorough. They spent a couple hours on the job and didn’t leave too much of a mess behind. They actually missed something and they came back without me even saying anything.

He was very professional and did an excellent job. He hauled everything away including the screens he took off. He recommends that we have our gutters cleaned out at least twice a year, and if it becomes necessary, we will not hesitate to call him. I am very happy with his service.

The service was good and they finished quickly. The only things I would like to comment/make suggestions about, was that he said he would take pictures of problems he found on my roof. When he was giving me the estimate for the problems he found he did not show me pictures. Once asked, he did go get his camera/phone and showed me pictures of the same problem on another house where he took pictures. He then offered to go back up on my roof and take pictures of the problems on my roof. Would have been better to show me the pictures of my roof when he first gave me the estimate. I would have had the work done that day but he said they didn't have all the materials he needed and would schedule a time to come back. I will have the work done at some point. Second comment is that when they were blowing out my gutters the shingle gravel came down on top of the bed cover on the back of my truck. They cleaned up all the sidewalks but missed blowing that off as well. Overall I was satisfied with the service.

The 3-person crew did a great job!

Two employees showed up a few minutes early. They were both very thorough and professional. The "main" guy quickly explained the process, did a 10 minutes inspection of the gutter, then informed me of additional costs. In addition to the prepaid $94, I paid an additional $74 for the additional gutter square footage (probably my back patio cover) and to clamp down 3 downspouts.

Had the Gutter Man come to my home and walk the property, listening to my dissatisfaction with my existing gutters. He came up with two different options and written proposals. I was never pressured and agreed to select the entire replacement option. I paid a deposit and my job was put into their schedule (which was about 1 week out). They called and set up the date within a few days and arrived exactly when scheduled. The workers were very nice, explained things to me and were very professional. I was very impressed with their work ethic and the pride they took in doing their work. Everything was cleaned up and looks great.

Arrived on time and used measuring wheel to determine length of gutters, it appeared that the linear foot of the gutter drains were included in the linear feet of the gutters exceeding the big deal 250 linear feet, used a gas powered leaf blower to clean out gutters did not observe any effort to clean out gutter drains. Informed of numerous gutter leaks that were known to customer two of which were repaired at $37 per leak, was told normal price was $74. Good job cleaning of yard of debris from blown out gutters. Major complaint in that the day after gutter leaks repaired the sealant dripped out and now have icicle of sealant hanging down from both repaired leaks. Why is there an icicle if the leak was professionally fixed? My DIY fix produced no icicles. Overall for full price would not recommend due to quality of leak repairs and questionable use of measuring wheel. If this company has another Big Deal might reconsider.

The service was great overall, nice. I would use them again.

They both worked very hard to clean them without removing covers at my request.

In the fine print, it said it only covers 250 feet and our house is maybe a little bit more than that so they surcharged us for that. We had a hanging gutter in the front, they said they'd fix it for $75, the guy left, the gutter was still hanging and then he claims he fixed some other gutter but he didn't mention the one that was hanging. It was supposed to be a complete roof report. We called The Gutter Man back, the guy came back and he just just kind of a BS and we were real disappointed actually. He came out again and it was our word against his. We were very unhappy about it. They're scammers, they ripped us off $100 in my opinion. What I think was I didn't think he could fix it but he didn't want to give the $75 back. They were responsive. They came when they said they'd come. There's no way I'm going to use them again.

I was very happy with their service and the customer service of the receptionist, Anita, was terrific. She was terrific about rescheduling the appointment due to rain. I had also misplaced the code for the Big Deal and she took the time to look that up. They were prompt and did a good job with the work. I was very happy with their service.

The provider arrived on time. The work was done satisfactorily. The Angie's List deal was for $94.00 to clean up to 250 feet of gutters so I paid a little more for the overage. The deal included a roof inspection. This is what has me questioning whether or not I will have this vendor work for me in the future. (I know I checked the YES box but that was for gutter cleaning only.) The gentleman told me I had a roof boot that was damaged and needed to be replaced. He gave me a price of $120, which was a discounted price according to him. I have a contractor who does work me for on all my houses so I elected to pass on Gutterman's price of $120 and let JV Contractors check it out for me. I went to Home Depot, found out the boot costs less than $20.00. JV came to my house to do other work and he fixed the problem by simply sealing the boot with silicone, no replacement needed.

Job was well done. Vendor also gave us several other repairs and improvements that could be completed.

They were able to come to the house and do the work without me being home, which was a real help. They were to clean all of my gutters and then do an inspection of the roof and call to let me know what was going on, if anything. I was called the day they were coming out to let me know they were on their way to my house, and then to let me know when they arrived. I was called a little later inquiring if I had considered gutter screens. I never heard from them after that. When I got home, there was a receipt with a note that there were several soft spots on the roof. I called and left a message with the supervisor asking him to call me to give me a little more in-depth result of the roof inspection, since it was my understanding they would call me after the insprection to discuss any findings, but never heard back.

did work as advertised, but seemed a little overpriced for the limited time it took. Still, they were effective and I am unable to safely get to the gutters of our 2-story house so it was worth it.
