The Gutter Man

They evaluated our house, gave us a good estimate, installed the gutter the next day professionally and left everything clean and neat. I couldn't ask for more!

I am so happy to have found The Gutter Man. I originally used an Angie's List deal to have them come out last year and clean years of accumulation from my gutters. They took pictures and discussed everything with me. I asked for a price on adding a gutter to one area which is not currently guttered and the service person gave me an eyeball estimate but said the gutter was probably not needed. (Turning down work? Impressive.) They came back this year and did the clean out and some minor repairs. Again, professional, prompt, showed me photos.

Fine. They came when they said they would and did what they said they would do. Had underestimated the length of the house gutters, and didn't include the garage gutter, and didn't read the fine print, so didn't know that the cost of the special did not include downspouts, so, of course was charged for cleaning those, too, as I should have been. Would advise readers to read the fine print of any contracting work, no matter how busy they are.

Several gutters had come loose, which were re-anchored, others were not draining properly, and were adjusted, A vent on the roof was identified as a problem area (we had been experiencing water damage inside the house), and this was corrected on the spot by installing a boot. A gutter that had been a problem area on the side of the house was re-sloped, re-attached and thoroughly cleaned. All work was performed very efficiently, and all debris was cleaned up after the job. Jeff Lambert and his crew were very professional in completing the work, and completed a thorough assessment of the entire gutter system.

The first appointment they cancelled after I had already taken the day off of work. I rescheduled, and when they came back out they claimed my house is 3 stories, which it is not. They tried to add an additional $200 to the quote, and I decided not to use them. I have been in a fight over the last year trying to get a refund for this service from the company.

I called the provider to get scheduled and advised them that I live in a duplex that has a common roof with the other side and in order to do the cleaning, they company would have to do the whole house. Unfortunatley, my neighbors weren't agreeable to having the work done so I wasn't able to move forward. I have contacted Angie's List in order to refund the Big Deal purchase.

Very impressed by both the service and professionalism of The Gutter Man. They explained how the pricing worked, what would cost extra, and how the process would work. The team worked in SUPER hot weather and didn't complain, were very careful (both for themselves and on my delicate adobe tile roof) and did a great job. Almost immediately after the cleaning we had a typical Houston downpour and we had nothing but full drainage, no overtopping - it was great. Of course the cost is always a bit shocking but when you consider the equipment they have, the conditions in which they work, and the level of service they provide - it's worth it. I would definitely use The Gutter Man again for any periodical cleanup and would recommend them highly. This was for work done in August 2014.

Excellent service and quality! Unlike other contractors, they upsized the down spouts due to the length of the gutter system to ensure the water can drain.

Since I have not gotten on a ladder to inspect the work, I can only assume they did a good job. They were very quick and efficient.

I have beenvery pleased with the work of the Gutterman. I manage a number of rental homesin Houston and I have found from hard experience that gutters are one of those jobs that having done right can save money in the end. I had low cost installations torn down because they were improperly installed and causingwater damage that in the long term that costs much more than having the jobdone right in the first place. I have found the Gutterman does professional work at a fair price. The office staff has been good, but Jeff (owner?) has been outstanding in answering questions and working with me on difficult issues. I learned some expensive lessons before I came to this company. Highly recommended.

cleaned the gutters on our 2 story home, then handed us n estimate of over $1000 to repair 2 corners and install screws in gutters that were loose. we thought that was too high.

They were on time and very professional. They gave me an estimate of the work that needs to be done to repair gutters and cleaned them. I would use them again.

I would like to inform anyone who might want to hire The Gutter Man, of the following: I emailed the company a couple times, regarding a request for an estimate to re-slope one of our gutters. The length of the gutter in question is approximately 28 feet, with one 90 degree angle. I had noticed that after cleaning and washing out the gutter, the water wasn't draining all that well, and wanted an estimate to re-slope the gutter to achieve better drainage. After a couple of emails, I was instructed to call to make an appointment for a free estimate. In the last email, the owner, Jeff Lambert, stated that the minimum charge is $75.00, and up. I called to make the appointment, and while on the phone, was transferred to Mr. Lambert, who quoted a minimum charge of $125.00, and told me that he would likely need to install some additional brackets to properly support the gutter. Even though I told him that the gutters weren't in obvious need of any repair, only re-sloping, he insisted that brackets would likely remedy the situation, and such should have been included in the original installation. He then texted pictures of the proposed brackets to my cell phone, and explained that these are "custom" brackets, not available to the general public, and they cost $25.00 EACH, installed. He insisted that anything else was substandard. He was very polite, but I felt that the costs could just continue to escalate, and decided to cancel the estimate. He said that he understood, and thanked me for considering his business. All in all, not a bad experience, just a bad "gut feeling" about the whole affair! I appreciate all the good reviews this company has, and do not want to denigrate Mr. Lambert or his firm, but I simply didn't get a good feeling from the emails or texts. Maybe it's just me!

The "Big Deal" sounded good, so I purchased it. The problem was the up selling. I'm not a huge fan of not being able to price compare and research services before committing. They told me my corners were leaking on my gutters, and that it would be $75/corner to repair. I got the impression that meant replacing the corners and that seemed reasonable, but all they did was spray sealant on them and call it done. Not a $75 service in my opinion. But I'd agreed to it, so what's done is done. Are the gutter clean? Yes. Do they leak? Nope. So overall a "B". Not keen to use again though.

I don't think the gutters on the high parts of the roof had ever been cleaned well since installation. Workers were very professional and did an excellent job. It had always bothered me that the gutters leaned against the house so that when there was a lot of rain, sometimes it would just roll over the gutters. They fixed this problem.

I needed a new gutter installation done on my house this last summer. I contacted The Gutter Man about getting a quote for a partial installation for the problem areas. The estimator showed up exactly on time,was very professional and courteous. He asked me what I was looking to get done on my house. I told him what I needed done and he returned 10 minutes later after taking measurements with a estimate. This is by far the best company that I have ever done business with. They came on the date and time frame promised. Knocked out the installation in less than an hour and the gutters look great. The color that I picked matches the siding on the house perfectly. Efficient operation from the handling of my initial call to completion of task. The work was done well, and the price was reasonable. I would do business with the Gutterman in the future.

The Gutter man indicated that the gutters are not well supported and is undersized. Therefore, can not perform the service.

They did an estimate and told me that I must have all my trees pruned back 3 feet from the roof line. When my tree man was out doing the work, he said not to cut the 20 year old holly trees. Spoke with the Gutter Man and said I could not prune the holly trees and we cancelled the work.
