The Gutter Man

I purchased a big deal with them for gutter cleaning and everything went just fine.

Overall they did a fantastic job and were fast. I have huge trees all around and the gutters were full. There's steep angles on the roof but they managed to get up there and get the job done. Good job!

This section of gutter is over my covered patio and drains the entire backside of the roof due to two gables that form a valley between them. The 4" gutter installed by the builder, Kimble-Hill, was totally inadequate and poorly installed (Other K-H home owners will recognize the poor quality). The Gutter Man came out and quoted the job, which we accepted. They came out a week later and installed the new gutter in about 1 hour while NO ONE WAS HOME. After the first heavy rain, we noticed the gutter took the run off without overflowing but a new problem developed. Water was getting under the drip ridge and was dripping through the vent holes in the soffit. I called The Gutter Man and asked if there was something that could be done quickly since it was predicted to rain everyday that week. The Scheduler said she would have someone come out before 9:00AM that very day. She said either my wife or I had to be home for them to do service work. I said my wife takes my daughter-in-law to work everyday but should be home IN TIME if traffic was not bad. In either case, my 36 year old son would be home. She could not schedule it without a firm commitment that an owner would be home but could schedule it a week later. But they could INSTALL the gutter with NO ONE HOME. She continued to tell me what she could not do for me because the owner has strict rules. I called the estimator who was very helpful it quoting the job but he seems to have forgotten his promise to try to figure out what COULD be done. This company could have gotten a very good review based upon price and delivery and a good review for quality of product. They get a black star for customer service. It seems the owner has built a wall of rules that cannot be breached even to provide good customer service. It has been several days since I contacted them but still no response. I will try to fix it myself.

Excellent service and kept me informed on service dates and arrival times. Both crews were on time, performed the work professionally and answered any questions that i had.

Everything was done in a timely professional manner. They gave me a quote for supplying and installing mesh covers to prevent further clogging of leafs. I seemed reasonable. And I have not noticed any leaks in the location of their repairs.

Technician showed up on time and did a good job of explaining the process, performed the job as expected and provided quotes for extra work i requested. Will you them again if needed.

The 2 young men who came out to clean the gutters were courteous, and on time. The actual cleaning the gutters job was done in less than 10 min. They used a leave blower to clean the gutters. The only problem I encountered were the sales pitch. Also I had 2 loose nails that they pointed out. And had to charge me $65 to fix before they could start the job. The big deal was $94 + $65. Which is about the same price as other gutter cleaning services I've used in the past. The blower they used did leave a mess in my landscape and windows, and they cleaned it up as good as they could.

Job went well and the price quote was good. My only issue was that after they were done, they did not do a job of making sure that the mud/debris that came onto the windows because of the gutter cleaning was not properly cleaned up. I had to take a towel and clean the windows myself. Overall though the gutters and downspouts were properly cleaned.

They did a nice job cleaning, however, they were unable to clean some gutters because they were made out of plastic.

Gutters cleaned sufficiently. Got a good deal. But the up-sell techniques were significant. Charged for disconnecting each downspout. Pressured to fix exhaust pipe on roof. Etc.

My experience was fine but it was nothing special. There were two people here doing the work. They arrived a little late to the appointment. They said they would send me a quote to do future work and they never did.

Purchased a gutter cleaning coupon online. Emailed to schedule. Received prompt email requesting phone call to their office to schedule service. Wife called to schedule service and was told they don't service Baytown. They should change their add to Parts of Harris County - not Harris County - for service area.

Great job at a fair price The crew showed up within designated time window and cleaned gutters on our one story house 3000 sq ft with lots of gutters that hadn't been cleaned for 8 months. They were quick but thorough and cleaned up all debris and the gutters are now cleared. We have signed up for them to come back every 6 months.

On time and did a very good job.

I called The Gutter Man Monday to ask if my gutters could be cleaned before the weekend. They were booked but said they would call me if something opened up. We scheduled for the following Tuesday. Wednesday morning I received a call that there was a cancellation for Thursday afternoon so I was able to get the work done before the weekend as I originally requested. The crew showed up promptly, measured my gutter and gave me a quote before starting any work. As soon as I agreed to the work, they began and were finished much more quickly than I thought. Before leaving we were shown pictures of the clean gutters and given a report on the condition of my roof. I was very impressed with the professionalism of the crew and how quickly they completed the job and cleanup. I would definitely use them again... in fact my neighbor asked what I thought of them and she has reached out to get her gutters cleaned.

I used their services almost two years ago and was happy with the results- they did leave my yard a bit messier than I would have liked, but nothing at all that I couldn't handle in terms of picking up/cleaning up (needed to sweep both porches and the driveway, some debris was left in the yard). At that time they had very friendly customer service, they were prompt and the actual gutter cleaning work that they performed was fantastic. I called today to try and schedule another cleaning and the only assumption that I can make is that they are in a busy time and having a bad day. The rude demeanor and the unprofessional attitude of the people that I spoke with over the phone completely negates the good work that they do. The service that you give your customers in arranging appointments is the first chance that you have to make a good impression. In my opinion, if you cannot handle this part of the business, then you are not worthy of doing business with. The receptionist kept me on the phone for ages while she was going through their entire schedule, talked nonstop about how busy they are and how she is going to "get into trouble" for making my appointment in the afternoon (on the day she said they can come out I have a doctor's appointment and simply asked if they could come after 11am). I don't want anyone to get into trouble, I'm happy to schedule for another day, but she insisted they could do that afternoon. Then she kept blaming her boss and saying her boss had scheduled people incorrectly- nothing big but a completely unprofessional exchange and frankly, nothing that I want to hear, just put me on hold! She then told me the day that they would be coming by and said it would be "early afternoon". When I pressed for an exact time, a window of time, or assurance that they would call me on the way over, she simply kept repeating "early afternoon". I then asked about a coupon on Angie's List that did not specify new customer (all of their other coupons did, this one did not). I was routed back to a different man who I had spoken to earlier in the day. He was rude, short with me, and very degrading. As I was asking him about the coupon he kept cutting me off and interrupting to tell me that it was for new customers only. I politely told him that, for their business purposes, it did not specify this on the coupon and that I would gladly pay full price since I was not a new customer, but just wanted him to be aware of this to avoid future problems. He was so incredibly rude, told me to refresh my computer screen, and was just overall very difficult to talk to. I am an adult, I don't appreciate being spoken to like a child, especially when I am trying to give you my business. All I needed to hear was, in a professional and polite tone of voice, that I was not eligible for this coupon and that the job could be done anyway. Like I said before, I can only assume that they are having a busy day and he is tired or in a bad mood. Again, the work they do is fine, but I'm sure there are plenty of other companies in town who provide this same service who will likely do so without the unnecessary bad attitude.

Gutter Man replaced my damaged gutter. Initial service appointment was cancelled due to weather condition but Karen contacted me in advance and rescheduled. Communication was great and service was completed as promised. I would use them again if I have any gutter problems in the future.

Did not use the service once I called and realized the coupon was not for repair - only cleaning.

Ask them to stay off roof and not to drag hoses over top of shingles, they did it anyway - otherwise everything was good.

Awesome - We have used them a couple of time now and on every occasion they have done a great job.

Simply to say, every contact I had with this company was A+. From the office staff who was always in contact with me and answered any questions I had, to the men who did the cleaning and the installation. They are like a well oiled machine, but with really nice down to earth people. I would HIGHLY recommend this company. It's difficult to find businesses with this kind of all around quality. This is the kind of professional honest work and service I would have expected in the 1940's. They are so humble, I'd have to wonder if they even know how good they really are.

They made a reminder call and a call to indicate when they were coming to my house. Provided good communication through out the process which was excellent. They were quick and efficient. They tried to upsell me on some screens for gutters but it was not a hard push. I would highly recommend them.

cleaned gutters and washed off area neatly. Found some roof issues and corrected those. Installed two new boots.

Service was efficient and very professional
