"Thank you for your review/feedback and as a result, actions have been taken to rectify any perceived notions employees may have had, in regards to using the Homeowners hoses, tools, or equipment. I would like to point out that the Lead-man on this job is no longer employed at TGM. We apologize for the Crew not completing the job and once it was brought to our attention we expedited the completion in the time frame presented to us. In no way is the Crew suppose to use any Customers tools, hoses, or equipment to service the gutters or clean-up. Each van is fully stocked with all equipment and materials necessary to complete any type of job. In the history of L&L construction (parent company of The Gutter Man) not one injury has come from a fall, dating back to 1994. Strict guidelines are in place to insure the safety of our employees and the property of our Customers. Every outside employee's training consists of a physical, continual drug testing, a written test on safety & ladder handling, then applied field-work agility. They are trained on how to handle ladders, walk on the many types of roofs and go through a 90 probationary period before becoming just a Helper. Every Cleaning Tech. wears roofing shoes, eye-wear protection, gloves and hats for their safety. For the first 30 days the New Hire employee is part of a Three-man crew (Supervisor, Lead-man, New Hire [helper] ). The New Hire stays on the ground observing the Lead-man to acclimate themselves to the procedures of clean-up. The next thirty days of employment is still with a Three-man Crew but the Trainee familiarizes themselves to the different techniques used for getting on and off the roof to the ladders that have "stay-safe" on the top. With the last 30 days of training consisting of the proper walking and tie-off techniques for the different types of roofs & pitches. If the New Hire voices their ability to handle this type of work... and then TGM finds out through training & field work that this not the case; we make the necessary adjustments and re-position the employee. Overall the service was good, they promptly showed up and cleaned the gutters. There are some loose nails left next to the down spouts that I think are from the 2nd story gutters.

However, our records indicate that the Members only paid TGM $144.00!! Now take into account the $94.00 she paid AL and it still only comes to $239.00. That's $112.00 unaccounted for. We at TGM frown upon any side work being contracted out or done... and will terminate any employee practicing this habit. We appreciate this Member bringing this to our attention. The $94.00 discount gutter cleaning through AL is for cleaning only. Repairs are not included, however charged at a discounted rate. The cleaning coupon is good for up to 250 linear feet of gutter and downspout combined as stated on AL site. Anything over the allowed footage is charged at a discounted rate of $0.42 a foot. At first I was turned off a little by the phone call to set up service, but that was very minor. I got a reminder call the day before service, then on the day of service two very nice gentlemen showed up. They took the time to explain the scope of service and the additional repairs I needed. I didn't feel like they were trying to up sell me, because I knew I needed the gutter straps replaced and the price was very reasonable. They took their time, cleaned the gutters, blew away all the trash and debris from the gutters, showed me pictures of their work, asked if I had any other concerns that they could address. Great job, the story could have stopped there.
But, stop and clutch your pearls, because you are not going to believe this !!!
After the guys were finished, I got a call from one the owners. He wanted to make a quality control visit to make sure that his crew had done a great job. He got on the roof, checked behind them, then took pictures of the roof for me so I could see. I was impressed and very pleased. This type of quality service is rare and I felt like I got a bargain. Great Service with built-in quality control, you can't beat it.
