Description of Work: $94 for Gutter and Downspout Cleaning -- The gutter cleaning was great, but I felt the add was deceptive because the add didn't say down spouts would be an additional cost for $71. I know someone else who could have done it for $50.

Thank you for your review. We clean the system in whole. To properly clean a system you must flushed the whole system, gutters and downspouts. The coupon clearly states the footage includes gutter AND downspouts. We never claim to be the cheapest, however there is no other company that is as thorough, professional and insured to do this type of work. Gutter Cleaning Procedure Put Your Trust In The Gutter Man Wherever physically possible we get up on the roof! We wear roofing shoes, called COUGAR PAWS. The soles on the bottoms do not cause any abrasions to the roof. Also all of our extension ladders have stand-offs on them so nothing leans up against the gutter to damage or affect the slopes. While on the roof we will let you know if you have any missing shingles, damaged shingles, rotten wood or infestation of insects; anything out of the ordinary we will let you know. If it's significant we will actually take pictures of it and e-mail them to you before we leave the job. We have a 3 Step Gutter Cleaning Procedure: 1. First, we start off by blowing all of the bulk debris off the roof where the gutters are. Then we blow all of the bulk debris out of the gutters, and then blow the downspouts. We bagged up and haul away all of the bulk debris that comes from your roof, your gutters and downspouts. 2. Then we get back up on the roof with the water hose that has a jet nozzle on it, and we thoroughly rinse out the system of all of the shingle grit that gets baked into it from your composition roof. We are also water testing the system to make sure that everything is flowing properly, and to see if there are any leaks in the system. If we do come across any areas that need additional attention, we are fully prepared to take care of it right then and there. We will apply a discounted rate since we are already there. If you would like us to hold off on the additional work, that is not a problem, we will leave you with a written inspection report of exactly what needs to be done and the cost. 3. We will blow your walkway, your driveway and your patio area. We do recommend that people who have pools get the gutters cleaned in the beginning of the week and have a pool company come out after we're done to treat the water. We don't clean pools. However we will skim the water if you provide us with the skimmer. Also, for people that have downspouts that are tied into underground rains, we highly recommend disconnecting those before the cleaning, (and we can do that for you) as well as reconnect them.

Description of Work: Offer was deceptive. I failed to read the fine print. Cost was exceptional for service provided, but fine print required all downspouts be cleaned at an additional cost that could have doubled or tripled the cost. They would not let me only do just one section of the downspouts. I didn't need entire downspouts cleaned. They were polite on the phone, but I strongly dislike "loss leader" deals that require me to read fine print. A good deal should stand on it's own. I certainly hope that all Angie's list offers aren't unclear like this.
