Texas Tree Team

On April 10th I contacted Texas Tree Team via email to set an appointment for one of their arborists to provide an estimate for tree trimming and bringing several ailing plants and trees back to health. Lisa Santana replied, suggesting that their arborist Glen come out on April 17th between 2 and 4, which I confirmed via email. No one showed. Lisa replied that she didn't see the email. We rescheduled for April 18th between 11 and 1 with Glen. Again no show, no call. After calling the company they sent Glen out, who was courteous and apologetic. Glen provided knowledgeable feedback regarding the condition of the ailing plants and trees and offered several solutions. For a row of dying yews he suggested moving the healthy ones to another location and replacing the dead ones with other foliage. He also indicated he will research replacement costs for some of the yews. For three ailing young magnolias he suggested an aggressive nourishment regimen to bring them back to health. All of this was to be provided in a proposal. He left indicating he would get back to me with his proposal. Since April 19th I have not heard back from anyone at Texas Tree Team. Considering I was stood up twice, with no call, this alone is a case for unprofessionalism, unreliability and lack of courtesy. Add to that no follow-through with the promised proposal. Exactly what have I paid for? Nothing but for a waste of my own time and resources. I will be filing for a refund - another waste of time.

A knowledgeable employee from the company came to assess the work to be done. He checked all the trees and we agreed on the scope of the work. The company arrived on time and went immediately to work. They were very professional and courteous. 3 men did an excellent job in a very short period of time. They loaded all branches on their truck, fished leaves out of the pool, swept around the pool and driveway. The yard was clean of debris and looked good. I can highly recommend this company.

The work was fast and thorough. William the foreman listened to what I wanted and then went above and beyond this to leave the area in pristine shape. He even managed to peel back the Jasmine and cover the area back up with it at the end. You'd never know there had been a tree there. They are insured and I'm glad they used all safety measures. They were so great at removing the 35 foot pine that I want them to put in the Red Maple in it's place. I know if they do the work it will be done right.

Glen Ginzel came by as scheduled, and quickly diagnosed what was wrong with our River Birch trees and hedge. He offered several options of treatment to us, explaining each in a manner we were readily able to understand, and followed up with a bid in a timely manner, as promised. Upon acceptance of the bid, our service was scheduled at our convenience, and the service was completed. Two different crews were sent out, one to prune and another, to provide the deep root feeding. Both crews were on time, professional, pleasant, and able to answer our questions effectively. In addition, both crews verified that the completed jobs met our expectations. Overall, we were extremely pleased with the quality of the service and fully intend to work with this company again.

An invoice was sent via e-mail.Everyone was a professional. They arrive when they were suppose to and began work right away. The trees were down in a matter of a couple of hours. A few days later they install the trees and did the yard work. It was explained how often we should water the trees so they could take root. They worked very h****** my yard putting the dirt and grass down. An invoice was sent via e-mail which made it very easy. I would and have referred another person to this tree service..

They arrived and got right to work. They completed the job in about an hour. I had to leave before they finished. When I got home the job was done. They did an excellent job including cleanup. I would definitely use them again.

Decided to take advantage of the Angie?s List promotion ($249 for $500 worth of services). Prior to purchasing, I called Texas Tree Team to discuss my needs and if work would be covered for the $249 (which it was). Made an appointment to have Glen (Certified Arborist) come out and look at the trees and explain to him what I wanted done. Discussed options and also got a quick ?Trees 101? lesson which was very helpful. Received a very professional estimate within a few days. What really impressed me was that they also included a copy of their insurance certificate and an extensive list of references. Didn?t even have to ask. Scheduled the job within the next few weeks. Crew showed up as planned and did a great job raising the canopy and thinning out a couple of good size live oaks as well as trimming some small trees in the backyard. Cleaned up and you would have never known they were there. A pleasant and painless experience. Great job by Texas Tree Team!

The arborist showed up on time and did all work as advertised.

The worker that came out to give an estimate was on time and professional throughout the experience. However, their estimate including the Big Deal was twice as much as another we received. I decided to get a refund from Angie's List.

We had an approximately 30' tall pine tree in our back yard that needed to be removed. It was growing in a fairly tight space and had been planted directly over our sewer line. After reading reviews of tree service providers in our area via Angie's List, we chose to call several in order to obtain free estimates regarding what the job would cost us. We left a message on one company's answering machine but never received a response. Another company came right out but their estimate for the job seemed rather high. Lastly, we called Texas Tree Team and spoke with Lisa, who was very friendly, professional, informative, and courteous. As they were very busy (which is a good sign), we arranged for the free estimate to be performed at the earliest available opportunity (which was a little over a week later). Glen arrived at our home precisely as scheduled. He too was very friendly, professional, informative, and courteous. He provided an estimate much more in the range we were expecting, and he even went above and beyond in our estimation by providing a $100 Angie's List member discount which made the already fair price even more favorable to us. Again, they were so busy that we had to wait approximately 1 week for the job to be accomplished, but this was fine with us. On the day of the tree removal, Chris arrived at our home approximately 2.5 hours before the time range we had been given. This was fine with us as thunder storms were predicted for the afternoon. Chris and his crew were very friendly, responsive to our requests, very professional, very efficient, and extremely skilled. They worked very quickly and had the tree down in no time. There was no damage to our property and they cleaned our yard so well that it was difficult to tell that a huge tree had even been there at all. We would certainly recommend Texas Tree Team to our friends and we would not hesitate at all to utilize their services again.

. Contacted owner for estimate and he was there within a reasonable amount of time. Very pleasant. Decided to do have them do the job. Team showed up and went straight to work. Knew exactly what to do even though owner was not with them. Shortly thereafter, the threshing truck showed up with about four more team members and everyone started moving the removed branches/limbs to the truck. Cleaned up patio, driveway and sidewalks and wereon their way.

Overall, things went very well - after I called their office they scheduled their arborist to come by and look at the trees to develop the estimate. After receiving the detailed estimate by email, I scheduled the tree trimming for the next available slot (~1 week). Orignally, the crew was scheduled to show up in the afternoon, but they were able to come in the morning and get the trees trimmed.

Because of the good reviews of Texas Tree Team, I called and spoke with Lisa Santana to see if they also did any landscaping work. I needed some new grass planted. She explained that they don't do that type of work. However, Lisa went a step further and told me that she would see if she could find someone that could help me. I could see that Lisa is a very caring person to have been concerned enough to offer to assist me and I thanked her for her concern. Because Lisa answers the telephone at Texas Tree Team and is listed as their contact person, I found that Lisa is an excellent representation for her company as she is the first impression you get when you call Texas Tree Team. This is always a comfort when you call any company, and I found that Lisa is a real asset to her company. I also told Lisa that if I found someone to do the work for me, that I would call her and let her know so she wouldn't continue to try to find someone to help me. I was able to find someone (on Angie's List) to do the work and I called Lisa to follow up with her and let her know this. In that conversation, I discovered that she had talked to her boss about my situation, and he suggested I check on Angie's List. I then responded to her that I had been checking on Angie's List, and that that was where I had found their name! Again, she was very gracious and professional. I don't have any trees that I am responsible for on my property that would cause me to need the help of Texas Tree Team, but after talking to Lisa, I would not hesitate to call them in the future if I did.

The whole process was very straight forward. Scheduled a time for someone to walk the property and Glen arrived at the appointed time. Spent about 20 minutes walking the property, and discussing how the trees would look after the trimming. I was concerned on the front trees, as I prefer my trees to still look like trees. I'm not a big fan of the over pruning that seems more and more common; where the end result looks like a tree trunk with a buzzcut. Or as I describe, large broccoli florets. The crew came the day that was scheduled, did the work, removed all tree trimmings, and left. I was at work on that day. I left that morning with overgrown trees and came home that evening with nice looking, well trimmed trees. Other than the saw dust from the root grinding, no evidence otherwise that anyone was ever there. Would recommend these guys and will be using them in the future, I'm sure.

Glen came out to my house and gave me a detailed description of what he proposed his crew would do, then promptly emailed me a detailed bid, which I accepted. The work was done a few days later. He did not talk me into services I didn't need, and he provided me with several scenarios to consider as to whether I should remove one particular tree. He was extremely friendly, and the crew did the work, cleaned up, and was gone exactly as he had said they would do. I highly recommend this company and their services. I will use them again in the future for sure.

Very pleased. They came when they said. The Arborist did a good job of communicating to the crew exactly what work was to be done. They did what they agreed to do and did it well.

Found on Angie's List. Called for a quote. Glen came out to talk with and prepare a quote. Professional, friendly and knew what he was talking about. Texas Tree Team was busy and we had to pull on them a bit for the quote, but when received it was thorough and complete. (I rated a C for responsiveness because it was hard to get a quote - we think just a computer glitch.) Tree crew arrived on time and got to work. Quality of work very good - the trees they pruned look wonderful. The tree they removed overhung one neighbor's house and one neighbor's garage, so there was certainly some risk of damage inherent in the work. The crew did a fine job rigged the tree limbs and we didn't have any issues with neighbor's property. The crew did drop smaller branches on our wood deck. We had surface scuffing and no long term damage, but I wasn't happy with the practice. And they broke or pulled-off a few fence pickets, which is not a big deal, but I would have thought they'd have replacements on-hand and just fix it - they left it for me to repair. Overall, the final product is an A, but the work was a B / C: Minor issues with cleanup in my neighbor's yard (you know better, guys) and a bit sloppy with my property. One thing worth noting is that some of the workers didn't wear safety glasses the entire time. We rated Professionalism very low because of this finding. In sum, happy with the overall result and I'd use Texas Tree Team again. But I would spend some more time up-front with the crew foreman now that I know the process.

Texas Tree Team has an arborist because I wanted to make sure the tree was getting proper treatment. The team that came out were very professional and I'm pleased with their work.

Glen seems like a forthright man. I appreciated his insights regarding an old oak and several other trees on my property.
