This is the first time we’ve had granite countertops removed and replaced. My wife and I thought it would be a really difficult job resulting in a lot of cleanup afterwards. However, Texas Marble and Granite owned by Juan Escamilla made it look easy. We started not knowing anything about the process and Juan helped us from start to finish. He accompanied us to select the granite, then later helped us chose the best patterns in the type of granite that we liked. Following that he came to our home to measure the countertops and explained how the process of removal and replacement would work. He said the install would be finished in a day, and it was. His crew even handled the unexpected easily. The day of the install, I noticed after the removal of the old granite that there was a plywood underlay. Normally, with 3 cm granite like we selected, you don’t need underlay and removing old underlay is quick, just unscrew; but I asked the crew if I could keep the underly for additional reinforcement. They said that I could keep it, which meant they then had to scrap off all of the old glue before installing the new granite. That was a lot of extra work not originally included. And, still everything was complete in one day. We also appreciated that before the job started, they protected our wood and stone floors in the traffic areas with coverings to prevent damage from scratch marks. Oh, and did I mention that all of that granite, old and new, had to be carried up and down a flight of stairs. Not easy, but Mr. Escamilla’s crew made it look easy. Bottom line, the finished product was beautiful and the price was very reasonable. There was only one seam and you can’t see it. From cutting to install the process was fast and professional. We would definitely recommend and will hire again, Juan Escamilla’s Texas Marble and Granite. In fact we will ask him to install the granite when we renovate our master bath this spring.

Veronica was very patient with me in picking out the colors. She sent me home with various samples. She followed up with me regularly and arranged for a technician to come out and do the measuring. The two men sent to install were wonderful and were able to work with the company I had putting in new cabinets, when there issue.
