Terminix - Houston -Termite & Pest Control

DO NOT recommend Terminix. They do not show up, they do not contact you, they will not give you good service. I would give zero stars if it would allow it. They have you sign a contract so they can screw you over and keep your money and not refund it, in spite of the fact that they give ZERO service. Absolutely a joke - they are worthless.

A terminix driver was in the neighborhood in August 2021 and backed into my mailbox, breaking it in half. They have been promising me for 3 months now that a contractor would be reaching out to me to fix it but I have heard NOTHING. The local manager came and took pictures immediately after I reported it. The driver admitted to causing the damage. But even with me calling in weekly, they have not managed to come and fix my mailbox. Irresponsible!

The company is a nightmare to work with and the customers satisfaction guarantees are a complete scam. Once you hire/fire them you can never get them to stop billing even for services they never perform.

It is routine maintenance. I would continue to use them. They maintenance the schedule. They are punctual, and the work appears to be high quality. If we need something between the routine maintenance calls they are very responsive.

They did a good job of keeping the pest away, but they were constantly increasing our bill.

We scheduled 4 separate appointments and the company was a no show on 4 separate occasions. They give you a window, so we took off work to wait and they did not show or call. The customer service rep said please be patient and re-schedule. So, we re-scheduled again and again and again and each of the 4 times, no show and no call!!! I have taken off work on 4 separate occasions and still haven't seen Terminix!! Needless to say, we will be cancelling our service!! Avoid this company...they don't care about their customers!!

They are kind of expensive, but they have a good reputation. The service has been provided over the last three months. The service has been fine. They came out to put termite traps around. I don't have termites; it was a preventative type thing. They also sprayed the yard. I thought it was a little pricey. I thought I had carpenter ants, and they came out and didn't know what it was. Finally I got one person out after four people had come out and looked at it. We found out it was carpenter bees, which was really strange. They come on time. I signed on to use them for a year.

Great! I got a huge discount to bundle termite and pest control on a quarterly basis.

They come out every month. They do great work and did what they are supposed to do. The work takes 30 minutes.

Originally they left trash all over but we cleaned up and moved on. Then water started leaking in around the walls and we noticed no water was actually going down the gutters. The product is a huge scam and terminex should honor their guarantee!!!

they gave me several options and prices. Procedure was done within a week. They have a great guarantee. But will only know how good it really is if used. The price was with a 5 yr extension.

Sales guy gave me great price but really messed up with scheduled delivery date. No one showed up and no one called to say they were not coming. When I called got the run around about weekend appt ( which was a feature I wanted and helped to convince me to go with Terminix). Unfortunately had to threaten to just cancel the entire service ... only then were they able to get me a weekend appt. What they did spray with is working ... so, after a bad start I am happy. Will see how it goes from here.

First of all, the sales rep didn't like that I used Angie's List to find Terminix. He acted as if AL is a competition and didn't want to honor the discount for AL members. After the inspection, I fixed a date the next week for applying the treatment. I was not home, but my mom was. The job included placing pods around the home, treating the patio and the hardi-plank in my backyard, treating the entrance, patio window sill and one of our closet . The tech that arrived worked only on putting the pods around the house and asked my mom to sign off saying that the work was done. He thought he could get away with an elderly woman who doesn't speak much English. She called me right away and put him on the phone. After probing him about the work that needs to be done, he didn't say a word and responded that he'll look into it! In short, Terminix salesman may give you a quote but the tech won't follow the same. Please read everything and check before you sign off!

I've been using them for about 2 years. I had a roach problem and now I've been roach free for almost two years now!

I used Terminex for over10 years at two different homes. The regular service man who would come out was nice and helpful. But once I moved and was out of the service range of the original guy (Kevin). All the other service guys would try to upsale me or talk about some crazy personal issue. i started to look for a new exterminator. When I called to cancel my service contract, the customer service rep didn't offer to try to keep me as a customer. I think their business is too big for them to give personal are to clients.

If I see anything in between they will come back and if I get any termite damage they will repair the termite damage because they are guaranteed that I won't have any damage. They do a real good job on the termites. The last time I needed them it took like three and a half weeks to get me and that got really me upset about that.

I used them fir the last 8 years and I stopped when I moved into this house because I wanted to try the Berret pest control. Terminix has been great. You don't see anything.

We use them on a contract. They come out every month. We've used them for about three years. I think they're very good. We don't have any pest problems. For anybody that lives in Houston, Texas without any pest problems, it says a lot.

My husband pays the cost yearly online. We have the termite contract with them so we figure they might as well do it all in one trip. It is just easier to have one company to pay. We have to call them out every once in a while because we still have these ant problems we can't get rid of. I don't think that is really their fault, but this is something that is recurring that I have to call them out extra for. They don't always get the ants. They come when I am not home and only do the outside. The do come out the day they say, but don't tell what time they are coming out.

NOthing about this service call has gone smooth. They have the worse customer service ever. They miss appointments and especially when called for a retreat - like their ad promises.... they don't answer the phone.. been on hole for 45 minutes..!!! Their Ad says they will come that day... I called in the am to schedule and they said they could come at 7pm.. When it got close to 7, the technician called and said he couldn't make it. When treatment was done, the fleas were still present. Scheduled a retreat... they were a NO SHOW... NO CALL.. UNACCEPTABLE. I took off work to meet them for treatment. When I called after the appointment time had passed, I was put on hold for 45 minutes.....I finally hung up. Do NOT USE!

I had a horrible and miserable experience. They came in and it was supposed to take 2 days for the extrusion and 4 guys came out and talk about the whole thing and it was very expensive. Two kids came late and they spent 2 hours working on this thing and one of them was asleep half the time on the table. It was just absolutely horrible. When I tried to call the manager, he was never available. Then they sent another guy out and he came in without a clue as to why he was here. Then I told him about the bats and he went back to the shop to get his things. He was a super nice guy and he did everything he could. He stayed late and he was apologetic for what has happened. But the manager was absolutely miserable. He said he would work it out for half price since they stayed only for 2 hours. But I said either repay my money back or make it right. To make it right, they put on nets and the next day I had to cut the net because there was around 20 bats in it badly bruised and bleeding. It was absolutely horrible. I almost called the animal control because what they did was not legal. They are not supposed to trap or kill them.

I have used Terminix for many years, they purchased the company I was using. The technician with the old company, continued to work with Terminix, so I was pleased. I thought I had rodents in the attic so I called Terminix for an inspection. They came out looked around set some traps. On the same trip the inspector told me I had crazy ants and needed an additional service with my standard application, This service for crazy ants cost $360 per quarter in addition to standard service of $110. I told him no. I will just cut to the point I started getting invoiced for $360 each quarter. I paid the invoices for over a year. I ask my regular technician about my crazy ant service, he knew nothing about it. I tried to call the local office, but each time the call was routed to a central office in Phoenix. No one could explain why I was getting invoiced twice, $110 & $360. Each time I was informed they would have to local office contact me. Three months later, many phone calls and two letters. I was finality put in touch with corp. customer service. A few days later I received a call from the local office. He knew nothing about the crazy ant service because it was handled by the termite division. Strange comment from a manager. Plus he could not give me a credit, I told him to cancel both services, he said OK. A few days later he called again and offered a credit of $360 for the last service if I would continue with Terminix. I cancelled. The technician was professional, punctual & friendly, but the local manager was unresponsive and I suspect lazy since he waited three months to return a phone call. Stay away from Terminix.

The technician was very nice, put the treatment didn't seem to do anything. The mosquitoes are just as bad as they were before Terminix sprayed the treatment. They even came out a second time to no avail. Their contract is $125.00 for the first visit and $69.00 for every visit thereafter. I have had a termite contract with them for 30 years and they are great at that, but I would probably use someone else for the next mosquito treatment.

They do not care about what the customer wants. I told them I needed interior service. I got it once. The other three times they did not come. I was billed for exterior service (which I did not need) for the last service date. When I called them, I asked to speak to a superviser. I waited and no one ever talked to me. No one on the phone seemed to believe me or address my concerns. I tried to cancel my service with them on July 16. They failed to cancel my service and I had to call them again on July 26 to get them to cancel my service. I still don't know if my account is cancelled. How hard is it to cancel an account? They had no problem sending me a bill though.

The inspection was a pre-purchase inspection and a report was provided to us. She put the bait outside the house and I was very satisfied. The cost was more than from others companies but I relied on their national reputation.
