The entire process from initial communication to the finished project was great. The seats look amazing and we were only without the car for one day since they took the passenger side seat out, let us leave with the car while they did the work, and then put everything back together. I highly recommend them and would go there again for other work!

Called on a Monday morning; much to my surprise, they were able to take it in that day - although they warned me they were short-handed and probably couldn't finish it same day. (I was expecting a multi-day project anyway.) So imagine my surprise when I got a call mid-afternoon that the headliner was done and the car was ready for pick-up; fabric was pretty much a perfect match, totally pleased with the speed, price, and quality.

When I found the car of my dreams, a 1997 Jaguar XK8, I searched for a shop that was up to the challenge of restoring the car to its pristine state. I can report that Stitches Auto Tops and Upholstery exceeded my expectations. My Jaguar XK8 is a joy to behold. This is what Joel Hutchinson and his team accomplished: Hand-tooled leather upholstery in both front seats; re-dyed leather and vinyl interior to match; powder coating on the original wheels; re-anodized alloy wheels; and newly installed top and liner. Joel is a master craftsman who convinced me he cherished my car as much as I do. His pride in his work instilled in me the confidence to leave my treasured car to his labor of love.

Stitches Auto Tops and Upholstery did a very good job of replacing the headliner in my 2006 Honda Accord. Spoke with the owner, Joel, who was very professional, knowledgeable and courteous to arrange the work. His son, Brad, accomplished the job, did it very well and completed the work before the time expected. Brad even took care not to remove my granddaughter's car seat as he accomplished the job. This was very considerate of him because it was difficult to install the car seat. Brad was very courteous, professional and proficient as well. Joel also gave me a good discount as a senior paying with cash. I appreciate their work and the excellent customer service they provided. I would highly recommend Stiches Auto Tops and Upholstery and plan to visit them again as needed.

I highly recommend Stitches. Joel gave me a fair estimate and was lower than expected. Though he did not have the materials for the roof liner (the Pilot was 2006 model and carrying older model materials is not feasible) he was able to order it from Dallas. The only knock I could give with the time estimate - he stated the work would be done by the next afternoon but they needed an additional day to complete the work. He did have to order the materials so I understood there was a the delay BUT I was not in a hurry - I was very satisfied.

It went very well. I called Joel that morning to see how much and if I needed to have an appointment. He said just show up and he could have it done in about 4hrs. I was in at 11AM and he was done by 3:30PM. The covering is a little baggy in some places but I am hoping that there will be more tautness as the foam expands over time. I appreciate that they cleaned the car where the headliner had been sagging, dropping old foam bits (like dandruff) on the seat and back.

Went to Joel's work shop and had him assess the damage and give a quote for repairs. Though the work shop looked busy he was willing to take in immediately. The choice was between leaving the car half a day or have him detach the inside door panel, leave it with him, and take my car home with me. Naturally I chose the latter course. He told me it should be ready around noon the next day. At noon the next day I got a call from Joel to tell me the job was done. I drove over later. His team reattached the panel and I was on my way. The repair was immaculate and looked like the original.

I bought a used 2016 Toyota Tundra 1794 Edition that had some cigarette burns in the headliner and sliding cover. Joel got it recovered in one day and it looks fantastic. I also noticed some leather work they were doing and it was flawless. Their workmanship is second to none. My wife's 4Runner has some leather that is beginning to need repair due to age. Stitches will definitely get that job when we are ready.

The owner, Joel, quoted a competitive price and provided a length of time required to perform the service (one day). We dropped the car off the morning of February 15, 2017. Joel was there and we discussed the job. No surprises, everything matched the service and price he had previously offered. Stitches called that afternoon advising the car was finished and we could pick it up. Due to our own schedule we pushed off the pick up until the next morning. Upon arrival we saw our car was locked up and secure behind a chain link fence. Joel was there and we inspected the vehicle and the top. It looked great, brand new (not a previously used piece) matching the original in color and drawn snuggly around the frame. Joel provided some tips for car and maintenance for the future. I had used Stitches some fifteen years ago for a headliner on a pickup truck and had a good experience then so I expected and received another good experience this time. It is always good to do business with a company you know will perform well and it is even better to drive off happy and knowing your money was well spent!

Don't let the cost scare you. I had a lot of work done, and I chose top-quality leather instead of any of several cheaper alternatives. How I ended up at Stitches is a story in itself, but briefly it started with recommendation from the auto body shop owner that I frequent. He led me to an auto interior specialist but to this man's credit he knew when a job was too big for him, so he referred me to Chico's Auto Upholstery, apparently a premier shop. Chico's obviously was too busy for my business because I had to keep chasing him for follow-up. After 5 times I gave up on Chico. Not long after I spot Stitches on Hwy 6 and researched them. I decided to give Stitches a shot and it turned out to be a home run. I've been to a few "great" auto interior shops in Houston over the years but none of them compare to the quality and service I received at Stitches. The owner, Joel, is very knowledgeable. Final scope of work was quite substantial: repair/repad/upholster all seats, replace deteriorated seat lumbar air bags with new padding, replace material on 2 door panels, restore all 4 door panels (color, scratches, some rust). Front seat configuration is the typical Ford 40/20/40 with the middle jump seat; rear seat configuration is full bench seat with middle arm rest. Seat upholstery was the original gray cloth and was replaced with new gray Katzkin leather. I dropped the truck off on a Monday afternoon and picked it up the following Monday afternoon. For the scope of work, I thought this was a quick turnaround. To my astonishment, the quality of the work was unbelievably exceptional. Magnificent. Stunning. This is my truck? Wow! See attached pictures. Stitches' attention to detail is unsurpassed. I now sit slightly higher because the seats are not collapsed. The new padding in lumbar area is remarkably more comfortable than previous. The stitching, seams, and restorative padding are impressive workmanship. And the door panels . . . what a transformation! The color is restored to what looks like factory-new, the scratches and gouges are gone as is the rusting on the speaker grills. I am speechless on the quality. They did miss one minor item on both doors, but Joel had me bring it back a few days later and it took about 30 minutes waiting time to get finished. You can't ask for better service. Thanks, Joel, and to all your staff that transformed my truck! You are my shop from now on.

The work was completed in 1 day; I had expected 2-3 as it is a small shop and everyone was working when I walked in without calling first. The guys were very helpful, and then I noticed the Angie's List sign on the door, and got a bit of a discount on top of the good (and fast) repair.

My CRV is the vehicle I drive to work and the light colored fabric seats had spots and wouldn't come clean. The carpet was also light tan carpet. I had the seats covered with black leather and the carpet replaced with black carpet. It looks great and I couldn't be happier! Even though I told Joel I wasn't in a hurry, the work was completed promptly. Thanks to Joel and team - I couldn't be more pleased.

Exact fabric for headliner was no longer available due to age of car, so a very close match was found and used. Work was done in the amount of time that had been proposed. There was one surprise ... there is a retractable sunshade mounted vertically to the inside front windshield on both the driver side and passenger side. It was found that the mount for the shield was damaged and that glue had been applied to the mount to try and keep it in place (which it did not do). Fortunately, I was able to contact the manufacturer of the sunshade and they sent a new mount free of charge. I should have known better and removed the sunshade BEFORE I left the vehicle, because it is tricky to remove, but I forgot about it. So I share the blame for the damage done to it. I just wish I had been told about it instead of finding out for myself, when the shade fell off. That would not stop me from going back to Stitches again.

Joel, the manager of Stitches, was readily available to provide me an estimate of services to repair and rejuvenate my car seats and arm rest. When I was ready to have the work done, they were able to promptly take care of my automobile. They were early and their employees were all professional and talented at their work. They cheerfully gave me a ride home while I waited for the work to be completed. They did everything they said they would and more! Out of the three companies that I checked out - this one was the most knowledgeable in their experience and explaining the process. Pricing was equally competitive with an Angie's List coupon offered. They pointed out other items on my car that needed attention. They even recommended another top vendor to provide other services to me. I would use this company to do all work on my autos in the future and would recommend anyone to them. They were so exceptional, I took their business cards to pass out to my friends.

Joel and his crew did a great job replacing the sagging headliner in our Volvo wagon. Though the fabric texture is different from the original, the color is a perfect match and the quality of the work is top-notch. Something happened to our sunroof during the replacement so that it couldn't be opened as a result, but Joel refused to take payment until I figured out the problem and he could cover the repair charges (which were expensive because they involved a dealer). Sunroof is now fine and the headliner looks great. Overall: replacing a headliner (esp. with a sunroof) can be tricky business, but you're in solid hands with Stitches. A real professional place.

Joel was awesome to work with and was upfront about everything from the beginning. He gave me multiple options and his honest opinion on each one which helped me make my decision on what path I wanted to go with the vehicle. I dropped the car off and everything was done in about 2-3 days which was great for the amount of work that needed to be completed and the passenger door being an issue that we did not know about until the door was off. The work came out fantastic and I was able to use the 5% off Angies List coupon which helped since I upgraded to the suede instead of doing the regular fabric. Overall, Joel provided amazing customer service and followed up with me a few days after the job was complete to make sure I was happy with the work. Finally, being that this is a 13 year old vehicle I had to take the care back since two trim pieces had small issues not wanting to stay which Joel did not hesitate to get fixed right away. If you want quality work, great customer service and not have to worry about issues, take your car to Joel at Stiches!

This went very well. I needed my headliner replaced in my 2005 Town and Country, arrived around 8am, I had to wait for my care since I did not have ride home, I was able to wait for them to finish the work which took about 4 hours. Joel was very professional and always checking to see if I needed anything. The tech who performed the work was very professional as well and really did a great job, in fact it looks just like it did when I purchased the van new. Great job guys!

While I feel the prices was little high for upholstering 9 mostly square center console bay boat. The quality of work was very good and look great. The owner knowledge and suggestion made the upholstering look a lot better then I expected. They have a very good attention to detail. Even pre-drill the screw where I need to re-attach back to my boat. It's very small detail that I am surprise they look for.
