The owner Travis and Michael the installer were easy to work with, professional, punctual, and kept the work area clean. The old doors and hardware were hauled away. Clear instruction was given on the door opener operation and setup. I would definitely recommend Spectrum Overhead Door for any garage door and opener needs.

The owner, Travis, double-checked my measurements to ensure that I was ordering the correct springs. He provided them at a better price than I found online and offered a fair delivery fee. Since I wanted to make my repair more quickly, I opted to get them in person. He gave exact directions to a jobsite that he was completing in order to meet with me personally and provide pointers on making my repair. He provided a few payment options; I used a credit card at the time of order and the receipt was promptly emailed to me. By utilizing his directions, as well as help videos on his site, I completed my repair safely and successfully.

Contractor arrived on time. Did an excellent job and now my garage door is so much quieter.

Travis was quick and efficient with the install of the two very large heavy springs. I built this large stable just five years ago with two interior and one exterior 12' Wayne Dalton overhead manual garage doors. The tack room overhead door never ever worked despite the fact that Wayne Dalton's Houston vendor/retailer sent out a technician within a month of installation in this new stable buildout. I had to prop the overhead door open with 8' posts and that was not a safe secure or properly operational means of opening this door, of course. Clearly, Wayne Dalton is focused on cookie cutter volume manufacturing with cheap underperforming pinnacle parts; case in point, their flimsy non-working spring. And, as Travis of Spectrum explained, the spring does all the work. In fact, the spring is supposed to allow us to manually open and close these lightweight overhead doors with a finger! Enter Travis and Spectrum, two (2) new real live functioning spring mechanisms and NOW my husband and I CAN open these overhead doors with, seriously, one finger. These new spring mechanisms are exactly what these doors should have had in the first place. For five years I dealt with these non-functioning doors until Travis with Spectrum replaced the most important part. Thank you, Travis. Travis made everything so much better and safer when we enter and exit the tack room and main corridor. This is how a manual overhead door should operate.

I had a few issues that most people would really blow up about but appreciate a call from the owner who took complete responsibility for the issues and appologized. Please finish reading the review. I was happy with the service, once I finally got it. I purchased the service via Angies List which meant I paid when I ordered the service. I added my phone number in the notes when making the purchase and asked them to contact me to schedule a time and date. I needed notice in order to take time off from work. I never got called and after a week I tried to contact the company. They called back and we set up a time and date. I scheduled the time off from work. On the date we set up, they did not show up. I called after they were over 2 hours late. There was a lot of confusion on their end and the technician said he was covering the phone for the owner who was on vacation. He contacted the owner who eventually called me. The owner took responsibility and said when he was trying to get organized for his vacation, he lost a page out of his schedule book. The technician called back later and set up another date. He showed up and was very pleasant and knowledgable. He did a fine job and the garage door works as good as it did new.

Technician was on time, very professional, thorough and courteous. He took the time to explain everything he'd done and what my options were. After installing the new opener he explained the various operating features and the warranty terms. The new opener has been operational for 4 months with no issues. In fact the new Lift Master opener is smoother and quieter than the old out-of-the-box opener. Definitely would use Spectrum again.

I was very satisfied with the service. They serviced the garage door really quickly and recommended some things, but they didn't try to sell me anything extra. They gave me a discount on an extra part that I needed. I paid an extra 50 Dollars, as I needed to change the rollers on the garage door. They did a really good job. My garage door was not functioning, and so I needed someone to come quickly and fix it, and they came straight away.

Great, the gentleman that did the installation was very informative. He explained all the different pieces and types of garage doors. He was a funny fella too! I enjoyed talking with him and hearing all his stories of previous jobs. I will recommend this company to friends and family. Great Job!

The tech arrived on time and completed the job in a very professional manner. As I watched him work, explained what he was doing and why. He was a very friendly person. I will have him back to install a new garage door opener for us.

I had to work so I made arrangements to leave the garage open. They coordinated what was need by phone. The price was very fair. The quality of repair and warranty exceptional. They repaired damaged wall and garage frame far better than I expected. An additional part was needed for the opener and it now works better than before. I would highly recommend this company. The convenience of not having to spend the day at home and trusting they would provide fair service is a huge value as well.

He was friendly, professional, knowledgeable - and went right to work. He completed the job and showed me the new parts and what I can do to help keep them in top condition. Great, did fix maintenance plus fixed one of the sensors

The technician arrived on time evaluated the amount of work necessary to remove the current Opener and install the new one. He gave an estimate of the time it would take and the price. He started right away and worked quickly and efficiently.

I was contacted by Spectrum Overhead Door very promptly after purchasing Angie's List Deal. Appointment was scheduled on one of my requested dates for the service. Michael showed up a short while after scheduled appointment time but immediately explained what he was going to do to make my garage door more operable and proceeded to perform all the work. He comped one item that my door required to stabilize it and keep it level which I was extremely thankful for. Michael explained exactly what he had done and showed me what he did upon completion of the work. He also instructed me what I needed to do twice per year to keep the door operational for many years. Michael was very professional, friendly and informative. I was very appreciative of all the information he provided and definitely will recommend company's service to any of my friends who may be in need.

Purchased $50 Garage door service and never heard from company. Have to go through more trouble to get my $50 back. Horrible and enraging experience getting ripped off!

Scheduling was easy, I contacted them and they were able to fit me in within 3 days of my call. They arrived on time for the appointment and did a great job.

I had to call them to come out earlier than the date scheduled. Door had fallen and would not close all the way. They came right out and took care of me. I will always use them after that. What a great company.

We purchased the $50 maintenance deal and was able to make an appointment very quickly. Was given a range of time where the person was to show up but he arrived right on time! Very courteous and explained exactly what needed to be done (broken springs were causing our garage door to be very noisy). I was initially hesitant regarding the cost of the repair (since I had no clue regarding garage doors) but was very satisfied once I heard how quiet our repaired door was. I would definitely use them again and will recommend to family and friends.

I purchased a coupon service for garage door service/maintenance. When the service technician arrived, we were informed that the coupon didn't cover the work that we needed to repair the garage door. He did, however, credit the total bill for the amount of the coupon. I had to pay more, but got the work done that day. The cost was higher than I wanted to pay, but at least everything was working when they left.

They were on time and so far the door is doing ok. There was a bit of a snag in the timing of the email communications but it eventually got scheduled.

Very well. Travis arrived on time, was very courteous and friendly. He got everything done in approximately 40 minutes and the door opens and closes smoothly now for the first time in the year that I've owned the property. A thoroughly professional job. Would certainly hire again.
