We scheduled an appointment to meet for the estimate and they arrived on time and walked the job and asked questions to get a thorough understanding of my preferences and the work to be done. The work was scheduled and the professional crew arrived as scheduled. They were skillful and well equipped to do the job. The work was done efficiently and they left the property clean and tidy. Great job.

Did great until the fee came along. Never again. As far as I am concerned a deal is a deal. With just one hours work, I do not even pay money for a lawyer's work, not $750 per hour. There could have been at least other times for work over the next months work, but never again will I work for specialist Tree Service.

The crew showed up on time and well equipped. The job and clean up were complete in about an hour and a half. They were responsive to my requests and worked efficiently. I am very satisfied with the services provided.

I have a rent house located literally around the corner from the address listed for this company. There is a large tree in the back yard with a couple of large branches that extend out over the roof of the house. There was a third, but a few weeks ago, heavy winds broke it off and it fell onto the roof, creating a hole that pierced the roof. I called Specialist to see if someone could go by the house and give me an estimate to remove the two branches that extend over/near the house. I told him the gate is not locked and that my renters were well aware that I was sending people to give me estimates. The man I spoke to insisted that I meet him, so I could point out to him what 2 branches I was talking about. I re-iterated to him that it is a rent house and I do not live there, so it is not convenient for me to make a special trip for him to take all of 30 seconds to see what I'm talking about. I assured him my tenants were aware and that access to the back yard would be un-restricted. I also reminded him that the branches I was speaking of were obviously identified and there should be NO CONFUSION WHATSOEVER concerning the branches I needed removed. Still, he would not agree to give me an estimate. Remember, the guy LITERALLY LIVES FEET AWAY from the rent house I own. I reminded him of this fact and even told him it was not like he would have to drive across town to do this. In fact, his house and my rent house share the exact same rear fence line. Nevertheless, he refused to help me, saying that maybe he would come by this weekend or never. Honestly, if a company is too lazy to give an estimate he probably doesn't even need to leave his back yard for, imagine what other kinds of shortcuts they take. One last thing, I spoke with 2 other tree companies who did not hesitate to offer to go by and get back with me with an estimate.

They did a super job and were polite, but there was a small communication problem.

I initially found Specialist Tree Service on the BBB site with an A rating. The quote Henry gave was really good. I didn't even bother getting other quotes. His crew showed up early the next day to remove a few large fruit trees. The guys did a good job cleaning up the yard as well. About a week later I had them come back to remove a couple trees in the front of the house. What else can I say.

The crew of about 4 came with their heavy duty tree-shredder truck (big) and trimmed both trees, fertilized the unhealthy tree and cleaned up all debris. You wouldn't have known that my trees were trimmed as the lawn and the sidewalks were all free of any debris. They were very professional and were so experienced at this service that they completed it in less than one hour. I had used Specialist Tree Service before and will definitely use them as my permanent tree service provider. Henry, one of the owners, greeted me with such professionalism and knowledge that I was very comfortable with the decision to go with them. I thought that $1,250.00 was a little pricey for the work as he had charged me $600.00 two and one-half years ago but then again, I think that if I used them annually rather than waiting so long, it probably would have been cheaper. Henry called me right after the job was completed to make sure everything went well.

Henry with Specialist Tree Service came the day I called and gave us a quote and came 2 days later and the job was done! I have to say, that the reason it was 2 days was because of rain. When the crew arrived, they went to work and in about 2 hours they were finished with the tree and everything was cleaned up. Amazing! We were really pleased with the friendliness and professionalism of Specialist Tree Service. Thanks to all of you!

I had called Specialist Tree Service in June to get a quote for trimming of two trees because both had branches hanging above the my home's roof. Henry came out that same day and gave me a quote for $685. After I mentioned I had found his company's info on Angie's List, he said he would honor the 5% discount on the service. So with my calculations, $685 x 5% discount would put me at about $650.75. I decided to do my homework and get a couple more quotes. In the end, I decided to go with Specialist Tree Service. I called them back a couple weeks later and Jesse promptly returned my call. He stated Henry's quote of $685 already included the 5% Angie's List discount. I tried to correct him since I had the quote in hand, but he said that was the price. If i wanted another discount, he "could do it cheaper in Greenbacks." A cash price of $675 was agreed upon. They showed up at 7am the next day with a crew of 4-5 guys. Neither Henry nor Jesse were with this crew. We paid the $675 cash but were never given a receipt for the services. My only concern with their service was the difference in quoted price between brothers and the lack of receipt after the trees were trimmed.

Henry and Jesse with Specialists Tree Service are fantastic. They'd trimmed our neighbor's live oak a few months prior and we were amazed at how quickly they worked. One of the three companies who gave us estimates for our tree job even mentioned how great the neighbor's oak looked (note: not a good way to instill confidence in your work!). The misspoken company had the lowest estimate but Specialists was the second lowest and we knew they'd do amazing work. Sure enough, they even showed up a little early for the job! A crew of at least six guys (I think more showed up after I left for work) descended on our property like a well-oiled team of tree sculptors. In just a couple hours all five trees had been trimmed and all the branches hauled off to the chipper truck. I could hardly believe the difference. Areas of our yard can now hope for grass instead of just muddy paths where nothing would grow. Unlike what I read on other company's review pages, there weren't branches or piles of wood chips or any evidence left behind, except five great looking trees. While I don't think we'll be in the house long enough to need another good tree trimming like this, if we do stick around we'll definitely be calling Specialists again.

They were really good. They came out the same day I called them, and the next day, they removed the tree. They were very fairly priced also.

The pine trees in our front yard had been looking ill and struggling for the last few years. Specialist Tree Service had been doing work in our neighborhood so we called them to come out. Jesse gave us a quote for the work on Saturday and the work was completed early the next Monday. We were very satisfied with the job and the clean up. They left the yard and street spotless and even saved most of the ground cover that surrounded the trees. Henry came by later in the day to answer any questions and made sure we were satisfied with their work before picking up their payment. Both gentlemen are very professional and courteous. We will recommend their services and call on them in the future when needed.

Showed up on time. 3 men worked on the trees for 3 1/2 hours. They were very careful about shaping the trees. Cutting then standing back to look then trimming more. You could tell not only that they took pride in their work, but they knew what they were doing. At first , when they arrived, I was concerned because the man I spoke with on the phone didn't come . But in a few minutes I realized all was going to be fine. I would definetly call on them again or refer them to my neighbors !

I requested a quote from 2 AngiesList A rated vendors and Henry came out and did the job before I got a quote from the other. After looking at my trees Henry quoted me $800 if I had it done the next day. I decided to give him the business rather than waiting for the other quote, based on his good AngiesList reviews and the recommendations he made during our walk through. I was a little concerned about the lack of certification or formal training, but felt I had enough personal knowledge from reading up on the subject to judge the quality of the work. He came on time with his crew and they completed the work quickly and efficiently without damaging any of my plants or shrubbery and cleaned up very thoroughly. I was and still am very pleased with the way the trees look -- very healthy and shapely.

Called Henry at 3 in the afternoon and he was at my house to give the estimate at 5. The crew showed up right on time the next morning. The job was completed quickly.

The service was exceptional and so was the price. Called two other places for quotes and both were very high. Henry came out for the quote today and got it done today. No mess in my yard nor my neighbor's. Very fast and professional person to use.

Specialist Treee Service sent a fellow to my house to provide a quote on a "Crown Reduction" and thinning my large Shumard Oak. In speaking with the fellow about the quote and the work it became apparent that he had no Formal Education in Arborculture, and was mearly Another Guy With a Chainsaw. I eventually found 2 companies to provide quotes by trained professionals certified by the International Society of Aborculture.

They did a fantastic job and I will definitely be using them again.

He gave me a quote and got it done the next day

Called the company at 10:00 AM and Henry said he would be out at 3:00 PM to give me an estimate. He showed up at 2:45 PM, looked at the job, and gave me an estimate. After some negotiations he agreed to lower estimate by 9% and said his crew will start late afternoon. Crew of 5 people showed up and started working at 4:45 PM and completed the job, including clean-up and haul-off by 7:30PM. Crew worked hard and steady, cleaned the roofs and driveways (mine and a neighbor's) from all debris, leaves, etc. They had a big truck and amachine that ground the removed tree limbs into mulch. They cleaned the yard and the street, and when they left there was no debris left anywhere.

Called for a quote and receieved one that afternoon followed by having the service done the same afternoon! They did an excellent job and equally important, they took away every branch/twig and did't even leave a leaf behind. We'll be using them again in the future.

Came out on a Saturday to give an estimate and completed the work on the following Monday. A crew of about 5 people completed the job and hauled away all of the debris promptly and professionally.

Wow! What a difference. Been having our trees trimmed for 20 years by different companies. I have been pleased with most of them, but I have to say Specialist Tree Service goes beyond. We had 6 large oak trees trimmed, 2 large oak trees removed and stumps ground down and several crepes trimmed up. They were a little more (but not by much) then the one other quote we received. We liked how the owner, Henry, was prompt in the call back, handled the walk of the property and recommended not to remove a tree we were thinking of removing. To be fair the other company recommended the same thing. We did ask if he could go lower on his quote to be a little more in line with the other quote we had and we're told if we have them come out the next day he would. He also said it would only take one day to do the job where the other company would take a day and a half. The next day he showed up promptly at the stated time (7:30am) with the whole crew ( 5 men and one boy working with his family for the summer) and a chipper and grinder. Henry re-walked the whole job making sure they understood what had to be done. Before he left he introduced his brother Luis as the person in charge or go to if we had any questions. They went to work. Never saw a crew work so well together. They were all efficient and professional. I understand they have been working together for quite some time. I thought they did an excellent job shaping and trimming as well as grinding the stumps down. We actually watched them the whole day. Everything was cleaned up leaving it even better then when they arrived. They were done by 4:15pm. I don’t write reviews too often but just had to pass along my experience. I will be sticking to one company now for my tree service.

Henry answered the phone on my first call and came within a few days to do the estimate. The two men that did the work were very professional, did a great job, and cleaned up after themselves.
