I was very impressed with the professionalism and honesty by the owner of the company who is James Pruett. He responded quickly after I purchased my new roof on Angie's List. He came out and inspected my roof and let me know exactly what I needed and what would be used to get the job done. Mr. Pruett even came out to the house on Day 1 to inspect what had been completed on that first day and to make sure his crew was doing a good job, this I was extremely happy about because that showed me that he cares how my roof was looking and that it was being done correctly. The crew did an excellent job putting up my new roof and the clean up after was fabulous, nothing left behind. I will definitely use Secure roofing again if needed and refer them to my friends. My new roof looks great and I'm very pleased with the entire transaction and service I was given.

Superb service, work, and quality! When they were done, it was like they hadn't even been to my house because they cleaned up so well. Mr. Pruett, the owner, was professional, punctual, honest, friendly, and kind. He was very responsive from start to finish. He explained everything thoroughly, in a way you can easily understand without belittling you. I really appreciated that he disclosed industry standards, quality, and technical terms unlike some contractors who will assume you're an ignorant consumer that won't care about the specifics of the service and product your purchasing. I chose Secure Roofing our of the 4 proposals that I received because I felt at the end of my proposal meeting with him that he respected my time, my expense, my intelligence, and wanted my business. His workers are a direct reflection of his work ethic. They were punctual, efficient, respectful, and work cleanly. Updates were provided to me throughout the job. The communication was excellent. The pricing competitive. Wonderful job!

I can't say enough good things about Mr Pruett and his team. They worked from 7am-4pm. Even protected our blueberry bushes with wooden planks! Thank You!They fixed the unexpected things that popped up even replaced a part of that had started to rot. Our roof looked like a patchwork quilt before with mismatched tiles and sheets, odd pipe jackets. The roof is beautiful! They did a beautiful job and cleaned up after themselves! When they left they took off the lawn sign but I wouldn't have minded letting everyone know who to call! :)

The experience went very smoothly and quickly, I was very pleased with the outcome. The owner was very helpful and did an excellent job in communicating with me.

James failed to show up to give me an estimate to replace my roof. He did not call me to explain or reschedule, and I had other contractors that did show up, so I did not try to find out what happened. Perhaps he had a good reason for not showing or calling.

The pros- this provider responded when Houston roofing companies were overbooked and a number were not taking any new appointments. The cons- we agreed to a price for the repair which included them replacing the leaking event. Instead of replacing the vent, they only caulked around the vent. I found this out a week later when they sent me photos of the repair. I emailed the provider to ask about why the vent had not been replaced and I never received a response. Update: After writing the review, I was contacted by the owner of the company. He was incredibly professional and responsive to my concerns. I would definitely use this company again based on his response.

I called Secure roofing based off the reviews. Mr. Pruett returned my call promptly. I explained my concerns and he came out to my home the next day to give me a free, thorough quote for all the work I needed. He explained ALL of my options. I found him to be extremely honest and thorough. He provided pictures, schematics and an estimate in detail. I accepted the estimate and hired Secure Roofing. We set an appointment. The labor crew showed up on time and ready to work. Mr. Pruett showed up soon after and introduced his workers. This was something that stood out to me because it can put a homeowners mind at ease. The job was completed in one day and the crew cleaned up after themselves. Mr. Pruett returned the following morning to make sure the work was completed, fix any imperfections and clean up. He provided the paper work for the warranty and emailed the receipt. All in all, a job well done.

James was the very first to respond to my requests for a quotes. He made a detailed inspection of roof and explained the positive attributes of the roofing shingle installed by his company. James was helpful in explaining the basics of roofing and made a helpful suggestion that I had not previously considered. Quotes provided by email were more detailed and specific than some of the other roofing proposals received and data highlighting the advantages of the proposed shingle brand were included . The quotes were competitive and I would have been confident and comfortable in selecting his firm considering its excellent Angie List ratings and reviews. I didn't select his company because of my personal subjective preference for a another shingle brand that developed after I had made requests for quotes.

James was quick to call me after receiving my message on Angie's List. He was very polite on the phone and in person. His estimate was thorough and easy to understand. He took pictures of my roof and explained everything in detail. He was friendly, professional and courteous. I'd absolutely recommend him to anyone needing any sort of roof repair.

He was the only one out of 3 companies that climbed up and inspected the roof. After inspecting the garage he identified that it was newer than the rest of the roofing and did not recommend replacing it. He provided an estimate identifying exactly what needed to be done, and provided the materials I needed to get approval from my HOA. His crew showed up on time, completed the job in one day as estimated and left the yard immaculate. James provided excellent workmanship at a fair price. Would recommend this company to anyone looking to replace or repair a roof!!!!!

In my earlier review, I mentioned we were having trouble getting the owner of the company, James Pruitt, out to fix a leak. I reviewed this contractor BEFORE he came out but about 3 weeks since he had been informed there was a leak. He has since come to repair/fix the leak and it is somewhat smaller but still there. He is supposed to come back to do a water hose test. I just want to add that the owner of the company, James Pruitt, is a very nice and knowlegable person. He did just what we asked and explained everything to us. I even referred a co-worker to him for some roof issues she was having. I still think that contractors should not get paid in full until the work is tested, especially this sort of work. We had storm damage from the Memorial Day flooding and had t fight with the insurance company to even get the funds to replace the roof. The deductible drained us and now our savings is gone. But, again, James is an honest, hard-working guy. Our roof looks great. If we can just get the one little place to stop dripping when it rains, we'll be in good shape.

James Pruett was the very best, very professional and courteous. Took the time to survey damage to roof after recent hailstorm. Met the insurance adjuster at my house to survey the damage. Crew was on time, worked non-stop to complete half of roof before next round of bad weather. Showed up early next morning to finish roof. Next day they repaired additional metal roofing and touched up all surfaces to be painted. James was "hands on" the entire process. Crew was able to e-mail pictures to James to keep him updated. With all the damage done by recent bad weather, James and his crew were able to complete a lot of work in a very timely manner. Would highly recommend their services. Would not hesitate to use them in the future.

On 5-22-15, the owner, James Pruett, personally came to my house and looked at the roof, explained everything, shingles, warranty, etc. thoroughly. He requested to go up in the attic to look for leaks and took pictures showing damage. There were two other roofers who came also, one on the same date. The first person just went to the roof and took a few measurements. He sent an emailed estimate, and that was the end of it. The other person came and when asked for an estimate, he advised he would give one. However, we never heard from him again. We decided to go with Secure Roofing, because Mr. Pruett had such good ratings and based on the way he conducted his business, you could tell he really cared about doing a good job. He and his crew came on 5-30-15 and despite rain later in the day finished the job in one day and did an excellent job and cleaned up too. I highly recommend this company, and it was a pleasure doing business with Mr. Pruett and his business, Secure Roofing.

Very professional service and installation. The weather presented a challenge but we worked through it and got it done at the first opportunity. One of the best purchases I've ever made. James at Secure Roofing gets an A+.

They are wonderful. They did a good job. They stood behind their work.

The guy lay in the hot attic for I don't know how long because he could not find where it was leaking. Finally when he saw the leak, it was pouring down and it was a 100 degrees up there. It was an old roof and he did the patch job for practically nothing. My aunt lives in the neighborhood and her roof was leaking, we did not know it was pouring up there. We got this guy to fix the roof. The room had got mildewed with mold, it was a horrible mess. They came with a flat tin roof and they coated it with the cleaning stuff and did firm work around the edges. They redid the whole room, fixed the ceiling, cleaned up the mold and the floor which had leaves and dirt that had come in. They washed her freezer from the outside that was covered with mold. They moved stuff and took out the furniture for me. They take pictures of everything before, during and after the job. He will send me the photos. I appreciate the fact that he shows me what it looks before he fixes it and after the work. After the last rain he called to find out if everything was alright. It is a very young company with young people working. They are just above and beyond.

I have been able to use the big deal purchased from Angie's List for Secure Roofing for 44.99. I was very satisfied with what they did. They answered a lot of questions and I ask a lot of questions and they actually appreciated that I ask questions as they wanted an informed consumer. They kept me posted on everything that they did. Periodically they would knock on my door and say this is what's going on and show pictures. It was my sister who lived in the house and she is a single mother and they didn't talk to her, they treated her like an individual. We really appreciated the service. They were very courteous and professional, absolutely. The price, it was not the lowest quote I got but it was the most comprehensive as far as details wise. The responsiveness was very good. I absolutely will consider using them for future projects.

James Pruett and his crew were very professional and did a great job on everything. James is a great person to work with and I wouldn't hesitate to hire him again.

My wife call James on the 16th to evaluate the roof for hail damage and he came out that same day. He showed my wife some pictures of damaged shingles and recommended repairing the roofing instead of replacing. He sent us a detailed listing of all the damages with repair recommendations that evening (via e-mail). He also recommended adding a refurbished air turbine. We asked if he could give us an additional quote to replace the electric turbines with refurbished ones to match the other one (my electric turbines did not work). James sent us a quote that we where very pleased with (far less than I expected). He started work and finished work the next day. My wife and I didn't get home until about 5:00 that day and they where still working (one of the workers waved at me when I pulled up and I remember thinking how friendly that was). James found some water damage under one of the electric turbines he was replacing so he replaced the wood (only charged for the material). We were very pleased with the quality and price of the work. James is very open and honest and friendly too.
