Secure Roofing

Everything went smoothly, within the time frame promised. I wish the contractor had mentioned that he didn't accept credit card payment before it came time to pay the bill. This isn't something I even consider asking up front, since plastic (or electronic payment) is the norm. Fortunately, we had enough in the bank to cover the cost and I was able to write a check.

I was very pleased with the whole experience! I received a quote quick and the project was finished in a single day. The quality of work was exceptional and matched the quote precisely! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

He did an excellent job and cleaned up afterwards. Since we were not home when the work was performed, he sent pictures of his work. James did an excellent job with everything. I forgot to mention that he sent us a formal quote via email prior to the work being done. I will definitely recommend him to our friends and family. Awesome job!

Overall the job was very good. During the pre-job agreement I mentioned to the owner that I observed some sagging in the roof in one small section of the roof and I wanted it to be leveled. He agreed that they were going to take a look at it and they included extra decks in the overall price. On the day of the job, I mentioned to the job supervisor about the sag and when I follow up, I saw that nothing was done to fix the issue and they started to cover the roof. I stop the crew and discussed why they didn't fix the issue. They tried to explain me that it was an issue with the structure and there was nothing they could do. After jumping on the roof, I saw that the issue was that one rafter was set slightly lower and because it was in an area were people prefer to walk when stepping in the roof, it happens that the deck sag because of lack of support. I asked the crew to put a strip of wood on top of the rafter to level it off. This do the trick, and the job continued normally. 3 screens mesh from the windows were damaged. I had the tool to fix it, and the supervisors bought the material and borrowed the tool from me to fix them. They mentioned that tearing screen meshes from the old roof debris haven't happened to them in several years. Anyhow after the issues at my house, they bought their own tool to repair screen meshes. They either miscalculated the number of ridge shingles or they were lost with the old roof material. They had to come the next day to finish the ridge shingles. They cleaned the exterior of the house, but they forgot to mention that the garage was going to be full of debris. I unfortunately noticed too late after they left, so I had to clean it myself. They agreed to come on the following weekend to paint a section of the flashing but after almost a week after, I call to remind them about the pending work to fix one last screen mesh and paint the flashing, which they did the following day. As I mentioned the work was very good overall, and I am satisfied with the roof and the looks of it, however I had to take a day and a half off and followed all the process to ensure things were being done to our satisfaction. I would have put all A's, but the B's in punctuality and professionalism is because of the extra reminder phone call to do the final touch, and for not proactively fixing the sag in the roof and starting to cover the section without notifying me.

Went well, took them exactly as long as they said it would take, for the price quoted. It's rained several times since and the roofs has been water-tight. Only complaint is that I had to clean the old shingle debris out of my garage. That is fairly minor though.

Good job as allways, this is the second time I have used Secure Roofing, they had a little goof, but no problem came back and fix it.

They were all very well. They impressed me the most. They were pretty comparable. He came out very promptly. He was extremely polite and helpful. He explained everything to me.

James was very thorough. He inspected the roof and repaired one cracked shingle. He also fixed the problem with the vent pipe and no more leaks. The chimney had a crack in the cap and he caulked that. James took pictures of all of his work to show us. Our house is on pier & beam and is a two story on top of that. He needed a 28' ladder to get on the roof and made three trips up and down to make sure the problems were fixed. Would hire again.

Great. On time to start and finish. James was very responsive. He also helped by explaining options for our low pitch roof. Everything went very well. AND they cleaned up...couldn't even tell they had been there except for a great new roof!

He would work around my crazy schedule. He also uses very nice products that will hold up over time. You can tell that he takes pride in his work. His crew was very nice and did a great job cleaning after themselves.

The owner,James Pruett, was on time,professional and knows roofing.He made several great suggestions on improving the roof system.We had him install a synthetic high strength roof felt under the landmark pro shingles.A drip edge,double collared our roofing pipes to prevent any leaks.Also added a ridge vent to help with the attic ventilation.I was unable to be home the day of the installation.James sent me pictures as the different stages of installation were being completed.The roof looks great and he payed a great amount of attention to the details.

I had a great experience with James Pruitt from Secure Roofing. This was my first experience in dealing with contractors for our home...and when considering replacing a roof and the expense that is involved, you don't necessarily want to go with the cheapest option. As it turns out, Secure Roofing was the least expensive option, but they used CertainTeed products, which is an excellent option. We had 3 contractors come out to bid in total, each of them within about $1000 of each other, but overall, I felt that the knowledge and options that Mr. Pruitt laid out for us was our best match. He happened to be the first company we spoke with, but he took the time to sit down at our table and talk over the products, what he felt we needed (our roof was 13 years old and while it still had a little life left in it, we wanted to replace it before we had any larger issues occur), how he was going to take care of the ridge vents, the valleys and hips of the roof, as well as our odd patio cover which was at the time, shingled, but he explained (as did every other bidding contractor), that the pitch of the patio roof was not actually steep enough for shingles (it would actually create possible water rot issues down the road), and instead, he would replace the roofing with a synthetic water guard that would better protect it (also the same thing that all the other contractors suggested). On the day of the installation, they arrived at 7:02a and were done, including clean up, by 5:30p (and that is even with a little bit of drizzle in the morning). We stayed out of the house for the vast majority of the day because I have 2 dogs and 2 small kiddos, but I didn't once have any concern about the crew or our home. The project manager, Matt, was onsite the entire time and sent me photo updates a couple times throughout the day. They put down tarps all around the home to catch the shingles and nails that were flying off...and even put a tarp over our pool to keep nails and such out of the pool. They put on all new flashing around the home...even in some areas that didn't previously have flashing, they put on new boots (I think that is what they are called...the cylindrical items that stick up out of the roof for venting purposes), and at the end of the day, they used a magnet to go around the entire home to pick up all of the nails and screws that had gotten loose (and they did a great job with this...since walking around the home, I have found very few stray nails/screws...which is great since my dogs and kiddos like to play in the backyard without any shoes on). Overall, it was a great first contractor experience for me and I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a new roof.

Great job! Excellent service all around, great communication. James Pruett took the time to examine my roof to give the most comprehensive bid. The price was actually lower than expected. The workers were efficient and considerate all while working hard to complete the job in a timely manner. I got six quotes, I am glad I went with Secure Roofing.

from bid to completion and beyond - great customer service! Bid received within 24 hours of first contact. Explained about the pitch of the roof and how it effected the cost. (bonus points as had it been summer he would not have risked having his crew on the roof due to the heat - safety first!) Sent pictures during the tear off and install as we were not on site. VERY PROFESSIONAL. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. There was an issue with a shutter being damaged during the roofing - They brought it to our attention and ordered a new one and will be replacing it when it arrived. Another issue was one of the HVAC units was accidentally disconnected during the roofing installation. This was not noticed as it was on the third floor. Invoice for fix was reimbursed.

He was easy to work with, and his crew was professional. The clean up after the roofing job was spectacular. They were fast and courteous. It was as easy as it could be to get a new roof!

Using your ad special for Secure Roofing, I signed up for their services. They promptly contacted me and spent some time working out everything that would need to be done. They were extremely easy to work with, did a super job of everything necessary for a excellent job. I am a widow and they went went far beyond what they had to in order to help me out. They were prompt on arrival, workers were polite and very good at their job. I was completely satisfied and would use them again anytime. kudos to Mr. James Pruett.

Not well. I spoke with Mr. Pruett week before last and he was supposed to go to my house last Monday or Tuesday and give me a firm price. He never showed up nor did I ever hear from him again. That is too bad because I thought his prices were good and he had good reviews. I will keep looking.

Overall extremely well - the owner knows his shingles and roofs, and gave a very honest opinion. He was the best value overall out of the four we shopped, and we're very happy with the performance. He was overseeing most of the job and came back to do a reinspection a couple of weeks later just to make sure nothing was missed. Yes, there are some slightly cheaper people out there, and there are some perfectionist high-cost providers, but this was by far an excellent job at an excellent price so I rate it as outstanding.

The crew at Secure Roofing did a fantastic job for us! From the start, the work was handled very professional and straightforward. At the work estimate, Tony Maag did great job, proposal was itemized out with very fair pricing. We asked for upgraded shingles (wind and algae warranty upgrade), Jim Pruett along with Tony set us up on schedule, crew showed up on time and after completion the crew cleaned up all traces of debris. I highly recommend Secure Roofing.
