Secure Roofing

Everything went very well. He was very conscientious. He took pictures during the process so I could see the progress, He did all the paper work and made sure that I got the warranty registered. Everything looked nice, he cleaned up everything. UPDATE: It is now a year later and I am having leaks in my roof, I tried to contact the provider and he wasn't very responsive and after he did come out he put some caulking on it and it did not fix the problem. I went to someone else and they told me it was not installed properly, so I had that part of the roof re installed and the cost was an extra $1000.

He tried to raise his price by nearly $2000.00 after we agreed to his original QUOTE. He's unprofessional and tried to screw us. Don't bother with this guy.

Knowing that I have a small home, I was concerned that contractors would not give my small roofing job the same priority as larger, more profitable jobs. I was wrong. From the beginning, Secure Roofing treated me as a valued customer. James showed up to give an estimate, and spent nearly an hour fully inspecting my current roof and explaining my options. I received his formal estimate by email just 2 days after his visit. After working out a few minor details, I hired Secure Roofing and work was scheduled less than a week later. The crew showed up on time (a little early, actually) and got right to work. The old roof was stripped off to the bare decking. Being an older home, the decking was ship lap, not plywood or particle board. All rotten/damaged/unsafe areas of ship lap were replaced with new ship lap. All new drip edge and underlayment (felt, ice/water shield, starter strips) were installed; 4 low profile attic vents were installed to allow for proper ventilation; and all new pipe and vent jacks were installed. I chose a Certainteed architectural shingle with Shadow Ridge for maximum wind rating and warranty. Shingles were installed quickly, and efficiently. The roof was completed by early afternoon, and the crew began their cleanup. All old roofing materials were loaded in a trailer along with the packaging and debris generated by the new roof. Once they had finished, the only evidence of roofers at my home was a new roof. In the 10 days since the roof was installed, I've found no trash, debris, nails, or anything else left behind by Secure Roofing. And with 2 substantial rain events, there are no leaks or other issues to report. A few days later, I received emails for James with the warranty and registration information for my new roof. (James took care of the registration.) I also received pictures of the job from bare deck with replaced ship lap to the finished roof. Again, James took care of everything - all I had to do was forward the information to my homeowner's insurance! In conclusion, If you need a new roof - big or small - simple or complicated - I STRONGLY RECOMMEND Secure Roofing.

From the first time I called James and they installed roof was 9 days. Pretty fast considering we just had several cold & wet rainy days in a row. They were here VERY early to work and there was no rain the whole time till they left around 5pm. They cleaned everything up to a T. The crew moved quickly and got all but a little bit done in one day, lead guy came back the next day and finished it. James was on site for most of the job, making sure everyone's concerns were addressed timely. If there's anything you need to know, he'll explain it to you in a friendly and professional manner. Very happy with my new roof and will use Secure Roofing again, in fact James said they would add insulation to my attic, so that is their next rainy day job here. So happy to have found a contractor who makes a great presentation, works with you to achieve what YOU want, rather than how they want and then actually delivers the job on time and completely with a friendly helpful crew and supervisor. In other words, they acted like they wanted to do the job. Just a good old fashioned work ethic company.

It went really well. We had our roof patched by a different company and the leak they were supposed to fix came back. Then after the next big rain we noticed leaks in other parts of the house. After seeing Secure Roofing advertised in the Angie's list big deal we contacted them for a quote to fix the faulty work of the previous roofing company. He was straightforward and honest and he was actually able to salvage the work the previous roofers had done and this not only saved us time but money. No other roofers we spoke to explained our options like James did. We are very appreciative and we would definitely use Secure roofing again.

It went very well. They were very quick, very professional, they did everything that I would have expected a roofing company would do. What stands out is the quality of materials and workmanship. The guy who is in charge for all the crews, he was very communicative and that's important. The only staff that I had any contact with is the scheduling guy, the crew just came in to do what they do and then left. There's no additional fee but I've chosen more expensive roofing materials and I think I added another thousand dollars. We could have had it done in 2 days but the only reason we didn't have it done was because of the weather and it slowed the crews down but once it was scheduled, it was fast, they were there 8:00 in the morning and they go out at 3:00 in the afternoon. Their price was average.

They were very good. They are very professional and showed up on time. They did the job very quickly, I thought they couldn't do it in a day, the were able to complete it in the same day. James Pruitt was very helpful in explaining the process and the types of parts that they used compared to the others.

So far it has been good. The crew showed up on time and got the job done within the timeframe they set. Getting the appointment set up and scheduled was easy. Once the work was done, the crew picked up well afterwards, and even hauled away the old roofing material. I see no room for major improvement and I am overall satisfied with the service. I am supposed to have a follow up consultation but have not received any communication regarding this yet.

Contacted Secure Roofing via the Angie's List Deals page. Provided info to obtain a quote based on oversize roof. Jim provided a detailed quote which allowed me to go ahead and purchase the deal. Jim scheduled a date which was quicker than I expected. he and his team were on-site as expected and took very good care of the house and my renter. Larger roof took over 1 day but the crew cleaned up and kept the renter informed. They tried to finish late into the dark but could not. Came back the next day and finished the job. Did a great job on the flashing and the vents. Installed high quality architectural shingle. Jim even submitted all the warranty information for me and sent me the documents. I was also very pleased that Jim stayed with his original quote even though the job took longer than expected. I was very pleased with the work and the job he and the crew did for me. I will definitely use them again on my next roof.

James Pruitt was professional from start to finish. He explained everthing and answered all my questions. He did the job in one day and it looks great. He also did a little extra painting for me. When they left it was like they had never been there. Everything was cleaned up and the house looked great. I would definately use him again and asked for a estimate for gutters.

Incredibly pleased with the people, process and results - highly recommend Secure Roofing. Researched Secure Roofing and found that they have offices in Austin, Dallas and Houston and an A rating on Angie's List. After we purchased the service discount coupon through Angie's List, the owner, James Pruett, called as promised, came out and inspected the existing roof, advised us of our options for materials, patiently answered our questions and promptly prepared a detailed estimate. His 8 man crew arrived early and were at work on the roof by 8:00am as promised. The crew members were polite and worked hard all day - only taking a break for lunch. The effective division of labor the crew used was impressive - everyone was busy constantly. They completed the 4,330 square feet of roofing in one day ahead of schedule (estimate was 1.5 days). They protected the landscaping and removed all the debris including using a magnet system throughout the yard to pickup any loose nails. James came out twice during the job and again after the job was complete, inspected the work done, verified that the work met our expectations, answered our questions and provided us with the warranty paperwork.

Replaced roof on a 4,200 sqft house. |Very responsive, excellent job. |We had some heavy rains a few days after the roof was installed. I inspected the whole attic during these rains and could not see a drop of water leaking anywhere.

Used an Angie's deal to get some work done that showed up on my home inspection report, mostly replace worn, broken shingles and seal around the vents. He was very thorough, did great work, and even cut back some tree branches for me that were causing damage on roof, without charging me anything extra. I would definitely use him again for future roofing needs!

It worked out just fine. They came out within a week of purchasing the deal and I ended up spending about $10000 with them. The deal that Angie's List had was up to 2000 square feet and my roof ended up being about 4000 square feet so what he did was give me the deal and requested I pay for the extra 2000 square feet. It was literally twice the deal cost. I was really satisfied.

These guys are GREAT!! Not only were they affordable, they stayed late so they did not have to charge an additional trip charge. I had called several providers to ask for a quote and had at least 4 different roofers up looking at my roof, James was the only one who did a minor temporary fix (free of charge!) while he was up there so we would not encounter any water damage should it rain. I can not support this company enough!! They went fully above and beyond with their work, including painting to make sure everything looked nice in addition to being functional. He also did not pressure me into purchasing other services, he provided options, cost and additional reading material for us to review. If you are looking for a roofer, look no further!

James came out and gave estimate within three days of contacting him. Got one other bid, his was about the same price. Very personable. Crew finished the entire roof, including new decking, radiant barrier and vents in two days. Cleaned up everything. Gave us a refund check for all materials not used. Even replaced a rotting board and siding for basically nothing. Really looks fantastic.

It went great. He was easy to work with, and since what we thought was the problem wasn't the problem, he did a lot of small things that he said needed to be done, because he had the supplies in the truck. He was still at the house a couple of hours, doing the inspection and all the sorts of little things that could add up to several big things. I greatly appreciated his offer to do them, since most of them were not listed as repairs that were part of the deal. He's a really great guy. Never met him before, but he sent us an estimate on expanding some venting along the roof of the house, and as soon as things settle down with us, we'll be having him do that work, since it'll help with cooling the house more during the summer.

It went great! I called him on a Sunday and he was out by Monday and gave me a quote. The rain slowed him down, but he can't control that. Did the work exactly as stated, sent picture along the way and with the final bill. There were no hidden cost; he was right on.

He did a wonderful job of documenting all of the work before he did it, during the work, and afterwards with pictures. He also did more work than promised and didn't increase the cost of his bid, which I was impressed with.

I needed a new roof that had some water damage and signed up for one of the Secure Roofing deals. James, the owner, came out to look at my roof. He arrived on time, was nice, professional and knowledgeable. His crew worked fast and expertly and he visited several times to check on the job. It was obvious from their demeanors that they took pride in their work and their company and had the knowledge to do the job the right way. I can refer Secure Roofing with confidence.

The roof on the house had been put on by another company. I had problems getting them to come out to look at the roof so I looked on Angie's List and called Secure Roofing, James Pruett. Mr. Pruett came out on July 25, 2013 and resealed some lifted shingles and resealed a previous repair made by the other roofing company that didn't last. The roof leaked again and Mr. Pruett and a couple of his men came out again and did an extensive water hose check on the roof and it just would not leak. He did some more resealing. It started raining on August 20th, I called Mr. Pruett, he came directly over and laid in the extremely hot attic until it finally leaked in the attic. Since it was pouring down rain he couldn't fix the leak that day but he came back on the 22nd and fixed the leak. We have had several hard rains since then and no leak. I was impressed with Mr. Pruett's hard work and determination to find the leak. I feel like the charges were very reasonable. I absolutely will use Secure Roofing again if the need arises.

It was very good. They did an excellent job, he was right on time, very professional and outstanding. He did everything he said he was going to do. He called to set up a meeting probably within a day or a day and a half.

Went well. James came out and showed me what he saw when he did the inspection. He provided a quote to fix the things identified. I was also in the process of getting gutter quotes and he asked if he could provide one as well. As a result I will be using him to install my gutters.
