Description of Work: I contracted Secure Roofing to fix a leak in a relatively flat portion of my roof, which has a modified bitumen roofing system. The price was great, and James always responded quickly to calls and emails. James was honest and up front about everything and stuck with the problem until it was fixed. I could tell that he was not going to try to convince me to hire him for work that was unnecessary. | |The main drawback to my experience with Secure Roofing is that they had to come out three times over the course of a month to finally get the leak fixed. The first two attempts at fixing the leak were unsuccessful. I would have appreciated it if they would have been better able to identify where the water was coming through before patching. That said, I did appreciate that second and third visits didn't cost me anything.

Description of Work: Wanted a estimate on a roofing job. Mr. Pruett stated he would visit house to get an estimate but instead decided to give an estimate based on satellite photos.

We got a total of 5 quotes for this work, and by far, Secure Roofing's proposal was the most complete and the most thorough. The roof looks great - only up for about 1 month - no issues so far.

Description of Work: Selling a house & inspection called for replacement of the roof. they signed option & said to go ahead with new roof. Mr Pruett from Secure Roofing was very responsive and conscientious; he got the bid to me within 4 days but the buyer backed out the day after Mr Pruett turned in his bid to me. I feel like SecureRoofing & Mr Pruett would have done an excellent job.

Description of Work: We have a vacation house in Columbus, Texas. The roof was about 30 years old and needed to be replaced. I saw Secure Roofing's reviews in Angie's List and decided to give them a call. I arranged to meet James Pruitt several days later in Columbus, he gave me a bid, and the following week Secure Roofing replaced the work. I found James to be excellent to work with, knowledgeable, careful, and reasonable. (I had previously had a bid for $6,000 to replace the roof several years ago). The men working for him worked very hard, and James was there the entire time to supervise. When they were finished, James got back on the roof and went over it carefully to make sure everything was done properly. He even repaired and painted some of the flashing himself and had his men replace some of the facia boards that had rotted. He also used the extra roofing tiles to re-roof our water pump house. His crew and he cleaned everything up well and went over the ground with a strong magnet to make sure all the nails were picked up. The whole time James was professional and courteous. I plan on using Secure Roofing when we re-roof our carport sometime later this year.

Description of Work: Before purchasing the "The Big Deal", we had James from Secure Roofing come out to verify that our roof was in the parameters of The Deal. My husband was upfront about our budget. James encouraged us to buy "The Deal" before it expired. My husband and I were very upset/disappointed when we received our estimate and it was an additional $4,000.00 over and beyond the $3,999.99 we had spent on The Deal. We felt James had deceived us from the beginning. I sent James an email stating that we were very upset regarding his level deception and that I was contacting Angie's list for a refund. I told James I refused to do business with a company that resorts to dishonesty, trickery and deception to make a sale. James responded to that email saying he contacted Angie's list and we would receive our refund...
