Sears Appliance Repair

I really haven't had a worst part. It was very convenient to schedule an appointment and the technician was pleasant and knowledgeable. I think that's probably the average price.

It was fine! Sears did good! He kind of let me know what I may need in the near future. They are not as expensive as I thought they would be, with being Sears. I don’t know what was wrong with it. It is still working. I think they came on time.

They did a good job. They came out when they were scheduled. They were knowledgeable about problems of the units we've had in the past. It abled them to solve the problem very quickly. They did their job promptly and thoroughly.

I feel the price was more then what it should have been. So far the repair is holding up. Responsiveness and punctuality was poor. I called Sears to make a appointment and was told it would be four days because there were no service people in my area. I explaied I had food in my fridge and it needed done. I was given a number to call from their service desk. I called the number and they asked where did you get this number and why are you calling us directly. They promised a appointment between 8-12. The serviceman was late, didn't have the part. He had to call a vendor to locate part. He then spent two hours driving to vendor to get part. I then asked why he didn't have the part for I explained the issue over the phone, his response was "You will have to ask Sears". The repair wasn't done till 5 pm, meaning I sat at home the entire day.

They did a really good job. We were really happy with it. They were punctual. They did everything they said they were going to do. The serviceman was really excellent. He went above and beyond the call of duty. What stood out was the serviceman who did the work. He really bent over backwards to make sure that he could get this done. He followed through on calls because I was really busy. He was great. They did provide what they said they would. It worked out great. I felt the price was fair. They responded to me. They were very professional. I also bought 5 gas burners. We were very happy with it.

A few weeks ago they called to see if I was going to continue with their services and I told them, "Yes." I had to fill out for the warranty. Everything seem to be fine.

It turned out very well. It was very good. A couple of years before I had to get some appliances. When you call them for service or whenever those appliances need to be serviced they will come right in, at the time set up and so forth. I had no problems. What stood out was their services. When we ever go in, they're real nice. The people usually service you very well, ask you what you want or if there was something they can help you with. They're right there on the job.

They did a terrible job. It tilts and it wasn't all the way in. We were so upset and my husband didn't want to call them back. We like dealing with Sears but we think the people they hired to install it are not very professional.

After 2 days, I was scheduled for a 4 hour service window (8 to 12) - repairman did not arrive within designated window. Diagnosed the problem, but did not have the required part(s) on his truck. Had to call a distributor to see if the part was in stock and go to pick it up. Leaving to obtain the part and returning to my home took about 2 hours. Actual installation was about 15 to 20 minutes. Repairman left about 4 pm. Gosh, I would have just lost just a half day if the parts were stocked on the repairman's truck; instead of the whole day...

I was told I needed to replace the fan and board at a cost of nearly 700 dollars. I chose not to replace it as my fridge is 11 years old. They tried to sell me on their home warranty program,saying they would knock 50 percent off my repair cost. I did not sign up. When I restarted my fridge the fan started working and is still functioning as it should.

First visit was very quick, but only did diagnostic and arrived several hours later than scheduled. Kept seeing updates to the scheduled arrival time on that day. The tech did a quick diagnostic and provided the cost to repair including parts. I agreed and parts were ordered. The parts arrived at my house over the next week (I had expected the tech to return with the parts, as nothing was said about shipping direct to my house). A different tech arrived as scheduled 11 days later and installed the parts. One of the parts ordered wasn't required, but no refund or return of that part was offered. I also asked the original tech about the loud noise that had developed in my dryer. He said he could not diagnose that, as it would require a separate ticket and trip, but did say it was likely lint build up in the blower motor and estimated the cost of repair would be about $250 - $300. After a check on-line, I took the dryer apart myself, found the lint built up on the blower fan cage, cleaned it off and reassembled it curing the problem. The original tech would have changed the blower and motor assembly rather than just cleaning it!

They were late arriving, Installed the wrong unit. Went with them although price was highest quote because they seemed professional and promised exceptional service. AC stopped working. Called for service, never got a call back. Had to call another company who said the unit had caused a breaker to trip. Still waiting on seeing a service person 3 weeks so far.

It took over 3 months to get the parts. Many duplicates of parts were delivered. In the end the most crucial part was never delivered. Schedule many attempts to complete the work. In the end after I wasted 3 days of vacation waiting on them to arrive, I cancelled to planned work and purchased a new washer from one of the big box stores. They have contacted me via email in an effort rectify, however after 2 rude customer service personnel and being hung up by another and being disconnected, I am done with these clowns!!!!!

The technician was prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable, and competed the work quickly and neatly.

Dryer works great and no moisture. Much quicker, as well. Very nice and professional. Service was fast and efficient.

The technician showed up on time and ran tests to determine the exact cause. They showed a board had to be replaced, and we had to wait while the part was ordered and shipped; so the technician made a appointment to return once the part was delivered. He came on time, as promised, and made the repair efficiently. We were satisfied that he had handled the job well.

The cost was zero. They're very conscientious.

They were difficult to get anything done. As much as we like Sears, we did have to fight for the dishwasher. It took months.

Incredibly bad service. When the Tech came out he said we needed to replace the controller boards, he ordered them by Next Day Air, scheduled a return visit for a few days later to install the boards, boards came in - but they called and cancelled the appointment saying they needed to wait for the boards ... which I had already received. Cancelled off 3 more appointments, then they finally came, the guy installed the boards but did not program the codes - so it still does not work, have now rescheduled a return visit which they have cancelled once, I'm not too convinced they will make the next scheduled appointment. Really disappointed, the Sears name has truly lost its great reputation.

They were excellent. I will use them again.

They're a little expensive for the trips, but some of it was parts. A great part of that was parts that created that cost. The quality was good. I don't remember having to wait. We called and we made an appointment and they showed up on time. So it wasn't an issue as far as them responding to the date and the time they indicated they were going to. I was going to have to wait a week. I don't know if a week is good or bad. They were punctual. I didn't have any problems, after repair, with the appliance. They didn't leave a mess, they picked everything up and left the place as before, other than, it was working. So, I think they did a good job.

Well well actually had to call them back a couple of times and it ended up buying a policy so it was mediocre so. They were prompt, came out the same day, but they did have to come back so.

It turned out great. They have been out a couple of times. It was under warranty. I would use them again.

They diagnosed that it was a power problem and didn't try to sell me washer repairs.

I think they did an amazing job. The person who came was fantastic. I have a lot of dogs and they took care of all the hair in my machine.
