They gave me the best and the easiest deal. I spent over a $100 on the services. I think it is a good price for what I am getting. They were very efficient in signing me up. I had a lot of confusion in the beginning. Another AT&T office wanted to sign me up. I tried other companies as well. Finally, I decided to go to a small AT&T kiosk. The young man took care of everything in 15 minutes. The services were installed and delivered in 5 days. It was so simple. I don?t use them for cellphones. I have been with them for 2 months now. There are no nasty surprises. The bill was what it was supposed to be. I will continue to use them in the future.
Description of Work: I use SBC/ AT&T for internet, cable television, and phone services.

On 12/12/07, I requested a change of service to my new address to go into effect on 1/9/08. Despite the fact that I had a confirmation printout, SBC/ATT claimed that my request was not in the system. They scheduled both my phone and Internet for the following day, but there was a problem with the phone line. Once they fixed the phone (which required over two hours of cajoling on my part via cell phone), the DSL still did not work. I called customer service which said that the DSL could not be turned on until my dial tone was established. At that point, the representative realized that I was calling from my home phone and thus my dial tone must be working. They had simply forgotten to submit the report. The DSL people had to call the phone people to confirm and they accidentally hung up on me. Eventually, they set up service to begin the following day (2 days late) between 8am to 8pm. After 8pm, we spent another few hours on the phone before finally getting service.
Description of Work: Transferred Internet service from previous home to new home.

It has been surprisingly fast and available. The one time we lost service and needed a repair they had a service man out promptly and he was very knowledgeable and helpful. He made changes somewhere up on a pole outside our house and reestablish service but also noticed that it wasn't optimal and made other changes (moving wires around upon the pole?) that actually did improve the speed. It was already pretty good, usually around 30 MPS, and I was already happy and browsed what seemed like as fast as the sites I was accessing allowed but now is often over 50 MPS. That's on a wireless router if that matters. I had planned to switch to Roadrunner once my contract was up but my friends in Bellaire that use Roadrunner have many more outages than I do.
Description of Work: SBC provides us with Basic DSL service (home).
