SB removed grout and re-grouted and said that the cost would be $225. I asked what time he would be there the next morning, he said 8:30am and he did not show up on time nor respond to texts or phone calls. Finally responded and said he had been eating breakfast. At 9:30, I received a call that he finished the job and was ready to be paid. The job was poor that he did and the caulking did not look any different. SP called back that night and said he wanted to correct his mistake. SP was not responsive to my communications and the job that was re-done was still not up to par,

First he gave me an estimate for re-staining some wood in my study and then after the other work was underway, he reconsidered and decided he couldn't do the work I had requested and he had quoted. He also changed his mind about being able to install a ceiling light in my daughter's room. Painting the ceiling in a bedroom, they painted over 7 nail heads instead of removing them first. They left gaps in between segments of the crown molding I asked them to install and applied a single coat of paint. When they installed the beadboard, they left nails not fully nailed into the wall and did not apply a second coat which it desperately needed, they did not paint the bedroom trim, i.e. the doors and trim though they did remove the door handles suggesting they had perhaps thought they might paint the doors. Apparently, they thought better of that idea... but still managed to get paint on my hardwood floors. In the window recesses, they applied such a thick coat of paint that it actually bubbled and annoys me not end every time I look at it. They patched a hole in the sheet rock and painted the patch only though the entire wall segment was less than 7' wide and the painted patch was very obvious. If they had asked, I would have had them paint that whole wall segment but they didn't do that ; however, they did manage to get paint on my hardwood floors again, which they did not clean up. And they left a mess in my yard which my gardener and his crew finally cleaned up because they couldn't mow around it. Sheldon said they planned on getting that when they came back to finish up. Perhaps they would have, but, the work quality I received was so poor, I didn't want them back. I was very disappointed in their work and would never consider using them again. At the time I hired them, they had an A rating in Angies' List. It's a mystery to me how that happened.

It was very good. It was excellent service, he was punctual and he did what he promised.

....i have three burglar bars remove from my bedroom windows...it was quick..he clean up after removing them ,the bars was inside the house....he did a great job.........i have one more to remove..i will be calling him back..to do handyman work..this man iS a "JACK OF ALL TRADES.."DOROTHY PARKER 7/13/15..

Came when they said they would. Completed the job efficiently. Were courteous and responsive to my requests. Fair pricing. Pointed out problems of previous instillation and explained how to correctly recitfy issues.

Great! He came right away, changed his strategy (I think) after seeing the pole, and still got it down within an hour. Was extremely nice and easy to work with.

He did an exceptional job. He was clean, and precise with his work. I am going to have him do more work for me. He also did it at a fair price.

It went very well, he cleaned up after himself.

His name is Sheldon Bush. Sheldon did a great job. I used him just once. I referred him to neighbors as well. They did a great job. I was having a big party. They squeezed me into their schedule and got things done. Professional and willing to get things done in a crunch.

Did not need service but guy was very polite.

I just wanted it finished so I paid them, but I thought that was very unprofessional. They also walked around my house in their boots that were thickly coated in mud and of coarse got this mud in my bathroom and shower. They did a rough cleaning before they left, but I had to spend the rest of the evening cleaning. The shower door is up now though and that's something I wasn't able to do myself, so I'm just glad its done.

Sheldon is reliable, friendly and does an amazing job repairing doors, lights,painting, fences, etc.

Sheldon arrived punctual and ready to work. Was able to instal a new dryer vent into the exterior of my house very efficiently, clean, and organized as well as patching up the hole the previous owner was using as her "vent". He was very kind, professional and knowledgable. I would definitely use his services again and recommend him to anyone who needs a handyman!

AS USUAL SHELDON DID HIS VERY BEST WORK! I FIRST USED SB HOME MAINTENANCE & IMPROVEMENT A LITTLE OVER A YEAR AGO FROM AN ANGIE'S LIST BIG DEAL FOR SO MANY HOURS OF SHOWER CAULKING. I LIKED HIS WORK VERY MUCH, SO WHEN WE DECIDED TO HAVE OUR MASTER BATH REMODELED, WE CALLED ON SHELDON ONCE AGAIN, HE DID NOT DISAPPOINT! HE REMOVED AN OLD GARDEN TUB & SHOWER; REMOVED CARPET & LINOLEUM. HE PUT IN A LARGE SHOWER WITH A SEAT TO SIT ON (BECAUSE I AM HANDICAPPED) WHERE THE TUB USED TO BE. REPLACED THE OLD SHOWER WITH A NEW LINEN CLOSET & LAID TILE ON THE FLOOR NOT ONLY IN THE MASTER, BUT ALSO IN THE GUEST BATHROOM. HE DOES EXCELLENNT WORK! WE NEEDED OUR OLD COUNTER TOPS & SINKS REPLACED, BUT THEY DID NOT MAKE THEM AS LONG AS WAS IN THE MASTER BATH. SO WE WERE AT A QUANDRY AS WHAT TO DO AS WE HAD LITTLE MONEY LEFT TO INVEST IN THE BATHROOMS. I CAME UP WITH THE IDEA OF CUTTING OUT THE OLD ROUND CRACKED SINKS & REPLACING THEM WITH THE MORE MODERN RECTANGLE SINKS. ALTHOUGH SHELDON HAD BEEN TOLD IT COULDN'T BE DONE, HE WAS WILLING TO TRY IT. IT WORKED BEAUTIFULLY! NOW BOTH BATHROOMS LOOK NEW & MODERNIZED! I WILL USE SHELDON OVER & OVER AGAIN IF I HAVE TO. THANKS SHELDON FOR MAKING MY BATHROOMS LOOK GREAT!

Did a good job just didn't quite seem like it was worth $99

Sheldon did an excellent job. He's a nice guy and responds to the customer's requests. He charged less for most of the these services than a licensed plumber, but in my opinion his work product was comparable to what I would have gotten from a plumber. I would hire him again. The only issue was that sometimes he gets taken away from the work because of other calls and errands, but when he is working he does a very good job and I would recommend him to anyone needing basic plumbing work and handyman repairs.

I tried testing the faucets while Sheldon was there and he said not to because they weren't dry. I don't know what he was talking about seeing as the plumbing adhesives dry almost immediately. But, since I was paying $600 for the work, I didn't want to mess anything up. Well, I don't need to worry about me messing anything up since it wasn't done properly to begin with. Today my husband turned the faucets on and it is leaking profusely. He didn't install the sinks over the holes, so there are huge gaps in the back and you can see straight through the hole to under the vanity. I ultimately paid $600 for my life to be made harder. Awesome.

Quality - He left the shower hardware install off the quote and wanted to charge more, so that was not completed. The dining light is not attached to the ceiling very well, very wiggly. It will need to be redone.

Everything went very well. Sheldon was very professional and does an efficient, meticulous and clean job - especially with the drywall repair. I'm usually a picky person who always finds something wrong with contractors' work after they leave but I am still very pleased with everything he did. I would definitely call Sheldon again when other needs come up around the house.

My front door suddenly would not shut last evening. I couldn't identify the immediate problem so I started calling around to see if a professional could help me. I was nervous, naturally, about being unable to use my front door. Three contacts (door installer, 2 handymen) I reached declined this small job, but I finally reached Mr. Bush at almost 9:00 p.m. First, I was so grateful he even picked up the phone. Second, he told me he'd stop by my house on his way to his first job this morning. As promised, he arrived at 8:30 a.m., assessed the situation and gave me a quote within 5 minutes, performed the work and was gone by 9:00 a.m. He shaved down the weather stripping at the threshold that had shifted due to 1) improper installation and 2) current weather conditions. Moreover, Mr. Bush was pleasant, helpful, professional, reassuring, and competent. I am so relieved he remedied the situation so quickly and without having to remove or modify the door. I am already thinking about new jobs around my house for which I will call Mr. Bush. I highly recommend him.

fixed fluorescent lighting in kitchen installing new ballasts and bulbs, caulked bathroom tub area, fixed two doors that wouldn't close. came on time and worked reliably.

We appreciated that he grouted these small areas, and he did a good job. My husband mentioned to Sheldon that a few boards of our engineered wood floor in our living room were creaking, so Sheldon came back two days later to remove those boards and replace them with new glue and boards (which we had). The floor no longer creaks and still looks good. The cost of the floor repairs was $200. The cost of the grouting and caulking was $99 (an Angie's List special) plus $16 for supplies.
