Melissa called and immediately setup an appt. She also confirmed the arrival time for the appt 15 minutes beforehand. Oswaldo came and diagnosed the banging noise in the ice maker and determined that the heater that frees the ice from the maker had failed. He was able to locate 7 replacement ice maker and replaced the unit within 30 minutes. No more banging noise from the unit!!

This was the first time we have used this company. A recent bad experience with another company caused us to seek out a new appliance repair company. Working with Same Day was an excellent experience from start to finish. We were able to schedule an appointment during a 2 hour window that worked for us. The service technician (Freddie) called when 20 min away, so we were able to minimize time waiting (it was for a rental property). Freddie diagnosed the issue with the dripping water dispenser and also showed us how one of the fans was not working. He had the parts on his truck and was able to fix both during the same visit where he diagnosed the problem. He made sure we were satisfied with the repair and cleaned up after himself. Their price was fair and their work/parts has a 12 month guarantee. We couldn't be happier with the whole experience - we will use Same Day for all our future appliance repair needs.

He came out and fixed our product. He did come out and do what we wanted him to do. He gave us a price of $275.00 and I was told that if I went to their companies website and wrote a review on how the experience went, that I would get $50.00 off. When I went to go do that, I also checked up on how much the product cost and it was only $28.59. I then called the company back, letting them know that the cost of their parts were way cheaper then what I was charged, they said they buy their parts from someone else and that's why their price was what it is. I want Angie's List members know that they charge a lot of money when the cost of the product is way cheeper. I would not go to this company again.

On the 16-Oct-2012, we called Same Day Appliance Repair after checking them out on BBB and Angie?s list and because their web sites show that they service Asko appliances. We scheduled a service appointment with Same Day Appliance Repair for 17-Oct-2012. Two service techs came to our house on 17-Oct-2012 and after providing an estimate, which we paid in full, they ordered a motor and hose, and returned to our house 27-Oct-2012 to install the new parts. This did not cure the problem. The techs told us we needed a new clutch; which they would have to order and informed us they would take care of it as they had misdiagnosed the motor problem. They said they would have the part by Tuesday 30-Oct-2012 scheduled an appointment to complete the repairs on Wednesday 31-Oct-2012. The machine is still not working as of 24-Nov-2012 and we are unable to get any resolution after a number of e-mails and phone calls. The problem is this: Same Day Appliance Repair passed the job along to a company called Action-1 Residential Services (a Carlos Diaz Company), without our knowledge. It was only after we sent an e-mail complaint to Same Day Appliance Repair about the service techs, that we became aware that we were dealing with two different companies. After we sent the e-mail, Jeana called us back and asked for the techs name. When we told her and she said they had no techs by that name. She suggested that we might be confused because many customers call several appliance repair companies and they forget which one they called. But we assured her, that we had called no other company.We asked if perhaps they had subbed out the job and were told that they don?t do that. She asked if we had a bill with their company name on it. We told her the name of the company was ?ARS Action-1 Residential Services? and the name of the person who cashed the check ?Action-1 - Carlos Diaz?. There was a pause and then Jeana told us this is the company they use to service Asko appliances. She quickly added ? but we always ask our customers permission before we do that?. We assured her it did not happen in our case. No one informed us they would do this, nor asked permission to do that. As it was late, Jeana proposed to try and get a hold of Carlos Diaz the next day, as we were unable to do so, and get him to contact us. We were optimistic that she wanted to do the right thing. The next day Mr. Carlos Diaz at Action-1 did call us and was very nice on the phone. He promised to have our machine repaired and give us a partial refund for the misdiagnosed motor problem. But, he failed to deliver on that and we have been unable to get him to return our phone calls. We again sent an e-mail to Jeana at Same Day Appliance Repair and she managed to get Mr. Carlos Diaz on a conference call. Again Mr.Diaz was very nice on the phone, he asked us to be patient as the part was back ordered. When we asked for a part reference, he told us it was a pump. We told him that the tech had said is was a clutch we needed, so we have a problem. Mr. Diaz assured us it was a pump that was needed to drain the water so the clutch could engage and again asked us to be patient as the part was on order. We asked him to send us a copy of the order to have some proof that this was the case. He agreed to send it to our e-mail address. But received nothing at all from him. We checked out Action-1 Residential Services and found they have an F rating by the BBB due to numerous issues similar to ours. We also came across several web sites with scathing negative reviews going back a couple of years. We have expressed our extreme dissatisfaction to Jeana at Same Day Appliance Repair for sending people from such a disreputable company to our house. This is totally unacceptable and irresponsible. Jeana from Same Day Appliance Repair initially responded to our phone calls and e-mails, which we appreciate. On the 15th of November, again in response to an e-mail from us, she informed us that she had spoken with Mrs. Diaz and would be picking up a refund check for us on the 16th of November. It is now 24-Nov-2012, we get no response from either Same Day Appliance Repair, or Action-1. Our complaint is that Same Day Appliance Repair sent our request for service to another company, without our knowledge. In doing so, they exposed us to the disreputable practices of Action-1 which are well documented on the BBB and other consumer review web sites. For those reasons, we are asking that Same Day Appliance Repair to do the the following: 1. Take responsibility for the consequences of sending Action-1 to our house and work with Mr. Diaz to refund us our money. 2. Update their web pages to show only those appliance brands they service themselves. Jeana has acknowledged they do not service Asko washers; in spite of this being stated on their web pages. 3. If they wish to refer business to other appliance repair companies, do so in a transparent manner: i.e. list those companies on their web-site with their contact information so customers can check them out and decide for themselves, if these are companies they want to do business with.

They had the part in stock and the guy came over, fixed it in 1/2 hour and was gone. Nothing but good things to say. They told me what it would cost in total upfront. I thought it was a little high, seeing as how the part was only $22 online and they charged $90, but that is probably an appropriate markup for this industry. I could have fixed it myself but didn't have the time to wait for the part to come in the mail. It was worth the money for the convenience. She also applied a $35 coupon that I was not aware of. All in all a great experience.
