We have used Russo Services for many years, and have always been very happy with the quality of work performed (at a reasonable price). Jerry Hernandez brings in the skilled tradesmen that are required to complete any job. The biggest project Russo Services did for us was installation of a custom-designed fiberglass pergola. Project leader Victor was meticulous in its assembly. I highly recommend Russo Services.

Some of the details: Adrian was quick to come to evaluate the project and to submit what we thought was a fair proposal. He also had some good suggestions about how to deal with poorly designed doors on our pantry and linen closet. The new versions are much better. We appreciated Adrian's cooperation in scheduling the job to fit our schedule as well as their's. I was pleased with the Benjamin Moore paints and how the colors looked when actually on the walls and cabinets. Jonathan did a great job as the crew chief. I especially appreciated his concern about the small glitches that needed attention at the end of the job -- both the ones that I noticed and the ones that he noticed when he took a second look. Some of the work is better than I had thought possible. For example, the crown molding looks a lot better than it did when the condo was new.
Description of Work: The primary job was to paint all the walls and trim of our 1250 sf. condo. Also the crew painted the cabinets in the kitchen and bath that had been stained wood. They took out a wine rack that was built in as part of the kitchen cabinets and a computer table that had been attached to the wall in our study.

Great - I am a cancer patient and Russo's painters took extra precautions to minimize the dust - they put up plastic sheets when sanding the windows and vacuumed well. They also do excellent prep work, covering our wooden floors to prevent paint spiils. I highly recommend Russo - I have used them several years in a row and have never been disappointed.

The quality of the service was very good. They had a hard time matching the stucco color, as the original stucco was painted 12 years ago and had faded from sun exposure, but they repainted several times to match as best as possible. I was impressed with extra effort to get the job right. My only complaint was the responsiveness to get a quote from the company. A friend recommended Russo, and I would too.
Description of Work: I had a leak over a 2nd story window, which was initiated by improper flashing along the roofline from the original builder. Russo Services investigated the point of the leak, installed the correct flashing, added a downspout to the gutter system, repaired/replaced all the rotten wood, repaired a section of stucco, and then performed all finishing services, such as drywall and paint.

We have used Russo multiple times prior to joining Angie's List, but they are worth the review. Russo is unfailingly professional. Punctual, respectful, and responsive. We were replacing windows (from another vendor) and ran into a problem. The window frames were untreated wood and needed to be prepared for installation before a massive storm hit. Russo responded to our and quot;911and quot; call immediately and the project was completed within 24 hours. That was exceptional. The other major project they performed for us was a full house patch and paint soon after we moved in. It was a messy job, but Russo methodically protected floors and belongings as they worked their way through the house. Once completed, they cleaned up beautifully and were happy to return to take care of small punch list items. Final thing about Russo -- we noticed that the coat hooks in our daughter's classroom at West U Elementary were poorly positioned and in disrepair. The school didn't have the funds to repair it but when we asked Russo how much it would cost (thinking that we'd pass the hat among the parents), they did not hesitate to donate their services. Blew me away. They followed through and the class was thrilled. These are good people, hard workers, smart guys. Highly recommended.

Our stucco home had just had all the cracks and stucco damage repaired and needed to be painted. Russo was prompt and very thorough with their bid. A week later, a team of 5 to 7 gentlemen were at our house around 7:30am every morning to repair rotted windows, power wash the stucco, clean windows, and then paint the trim and the entire exterior. I was so pleased with the work that I had them do a few odds and end repairs on the interior of our home. I could not have been more pleased with the results. You definitely get what you pay for with this company. It is more expensive than many other paint companies but the professionalism and skill of this crew could not be surpassed. Would definitely recommend, if it's in your budge
Description of Work: The house was power washed, along with windows. We had 7 windows that had some degree of rot, one entirely rotted. Russo replaced all the rotten sashes with mahogany. The one large rotten window that was leaking was removed and replaced. The trim was sanded around the windows. Any cracks in the stucco were repaired. They sanded and repainted the front door, all the trim, the window, and the stucco. The fixed the drywall from a leak in the ceiling inside, they re-painted trim that was poorly done by a previous painter, and they freshened up kitchen cabinets with a coat of paint. The entire project took 2 weeks.

Was in need of a company to handle minor touch ups and repairs before listing our West U home and quot; For Saleand quot;. I always noticed our neighbors had and quot;Russoand quot; signs in their yard, so they were the first (and only) company I contacted. Of course, I checked Angie's list prior to calling. My first impression with Russo was excellent. After inquiring via email, I was contacted by Jerry immediately. He quickly scheduled an appointment to perform a walk through of our home to hear my areas of concern and offer suggestions. He made notes during our walk through and less than 24 hours later I was emailed an estimate for my requested services and his suggestions. I selected the services I wanted and we set a start date for a week later. Services were set to begin on a Monday. The Friday prior, I received notice from Jerry that my assigned crew had been delayed on a current job. The homeowner they were working with requested additional work, so our services would be pushed back a week. This was not a serious issue for us, because I could certainly see something similar happening with us. Once the crew arrived a week later, Jerry showed each worker around our home to discuss what they would be working on. For the next 2 weeks, the crew arrived on time, working carefully each day. I introduced myself to each worker since I would be home every day they were there. Everyone was extremely professional and courteous. One person in the crew spoke English and he came to me to confirm any questions they had regarding work areas, such as, some of our rooms only needed touch up paint while others needed an entire wall painted. They were able to take samples and color match any rooms that we didn't no have paint for. The only and quot;issuesand quot; I had came when I wanted to stray from my selected services. For example, we originally wanted to pressure wash our entire driveway and back yard patio. When pressure wash day came (with a new crew) we changed our minds and asked them to only pressure wash the back patio. However, this was not communicated well (due to language barrier) and the entire job was completed. We choose the option to have painters flag the entire house and perform and quot;touch upand quot; painting in rooms that we had intentionally left out of the project at an hourly rate. Again, this was our choice. When the bill came, there was no way to verify how many man were working on this particular part of the project and how many hours they worked. But by the time the final invoice came, the work had all been completed and we were very happy overall with their work. My husband is not able to perform much physical labor around our home. I consider it a major positive that basically one phone call and one walk through was all that we needed to get started. While we did not intend to spend so much on a home we were about to sell, we ended up adding services once we saw what a great job they were capable of. Again, I cannot stress how professional and courteous every crew was throughout this 3-4 week project. They arrived at 8am ready to work, and some days it took us a little longer to leave our master bedroom for the day. Their work is worth the price if you are looking for quality repairs in a short amount of time.
Description of Work: In preparation to list our house on the market Russo performed the following services: Wall painting and color match (entire rooms, touch up, trim) Wood stain (staircase and exterior entry doors) Completely repainted our master bath cabinets Dry wall and sheet rock repair Pressure washed exterior pavement and flagstone patio Replaced glass shower door seal Tiled master shower floor

Russo Services was recommended to me from a friend in West U that's hired them several times for basic painting and carpentry services. In all, I have hired them on three occasions to help speed up remodeling efforts that I was conducting myself . The professionalism and craftsmanship of their labor staff was top notch every time. However, their bid response and customer service in addressing a billing issue deserves a mention, too. All three times, Jerry Hernandez, the service rep that I dealt with, was quick to arrive to gather the project requirements. He is easy to talk to and shared my vision as if he was reading my mind. The actual project quotation, which was always mailed along with a tome of safety information and endless testimonials, took WEEKS to arrive. Getting the work actually scheduled took just as long, averaging 3-4 weeks out from the bid receipt, contrary to the verbal estimates. So clearly they were eager to drum up a queue of engagements, but no so prepared to satisfy these quickly. I get it. They're busy. But I was warned in advance by my friend that they're very slow to get started, but were trustworthy and performed good work, which was important. The actual workers arrived early when they were finally scheduled to arrive, were pleasant and professional and did fantastic work each time. I would still rate them as an and quot;Aand quot; up till this point. My primary issue with Russo Services was a billing dispute that was poorly handled and protracted far longer than necessary. For a two room tile installation (approx 350 sq/ft), Jerry suggested I use their preferred tile source (Daltile) because of his volume purchasing discounts. He assured that I could factor a 20-40% discount off any choice of tile and they would procure the material. Understanding that was only a possibility, I chose the Baja Cream travertine tile for $5.16 sq/ft (retail); any discount would be welcome, but not expected. I stopped by the store on Richmond, got the item number and price, relayed that via email, and through subsequent exchanges the work was agreed and eventually completed (over a month later). The work, I must say, was outstanding. So we were surprised to receive an invoice stating the tile cost (labor was separate) was $11.29 sq/ft, but presented their and quot;discountand quot; of $7.33 sq/ft. Thinking this was honest mistake, I phoned Jerry whom promptly insisted the price was right. No it wasn't. He disagreed and stated that and quot;Iand quot; can't get the lower rate because I'm not a contractor and don't qualify. Regardless, the actual price was indeed relayed twice in email and that was the true and agreed retail cost. I called Daltile again to confirm the list price and was assured that was valid for anyone. Contractor discounts are applied to that. Once again, Jerry disputed this cost and was clearly annoyed to settle this with me. So I went to Daltile and asked for all this in writing. I received a written quote and a statement by the store manager. I scanned and emailed this to Jerry. His response to me was that they already paid the $7.33 sq/ft rate and that something clearly changed (no it didn't). But he reluctantly agreed to lower the price to the actual retail amount, but could certainly not provide any further discount. So what did he do? He prepared a new invoice stating that $5.16 sq/ft was MY rate, but listed a higher cost to depict that I did indeed receive a material discount. That is slimy. I settled with the originally cited retail price, but as you can see this is just ridiculous. Anyone who has third grade reading skills can procure pricing. Anyone with 60 seconds of free time could call the supplier to validate a price that was also agreed upon in advance. This was a stubborn, dishonest, and unprofessional response to an obvious error on their part. And for that I cannot recommend their services. I have thankfully steered two other colleagues away from them for large home remodeling efforts.
Description of Work: Tile two rooms totalling approx 350 sq/ft with 12x12 Baja Cream Travertine tile. The floor was bare concrete and required some minor leveling and a preparation around a hairline crack.

Very responsive with a very detailed and competitive estimate. Good work crew; efficient, competent workers. No surprises; no problems. They did a fabulous job; the work was superb; their attention to detail and the care they took with our furniture, etc. was of the highest order.
They worked for me 2 times 2 years apart and it was the same crew of people. It is family owned so the owner does a bunch of work in my neighborhood. I give them a key, they come do their thing, I go do my work, nothing ever goes missing and I find them to be very trustworthy. For carpentry and painting I think they do a great job. I've had two different painters and I think they are probably in the ball park. They are really good about giving you an itemized proposal. If it's a little bit more than I would pay for anyone else then I really don't care. I think they do a very nice job.
Description of Work: Russo services has built me a wall with book shelves, they painted and built me a fence. They fixed all my rotting wood windows.
