Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

They charged us different from what they charged for our neighbors. They did not split the cost of the digging of the hole. We will not use them again.

Showed up on time, very polite, clean workers who diagnosed the problem (exactly as I hasd suspected, tree root getting into the main sewer line, blocking it up. They gave me an immediate estimate, seemed very high. When I said I wanted to get other estimates, they disappeared into their truck, and came out and offered a discount to accept immediately. Did not appreciate the hard sell, and told them no, I wanted to get other estimates.

The website stated that Roto-Rooter works at night. Their last appointment is 4pm. That is not night, that is only afternoon. After talking to a dispatcher who informed me that my technician was on his way at 4pm, I had to explain that a different dispatcher had told me there was a 7pm-11pm time slot and that was what I wanted. I was having my countertops replaced and that would not be finished until 6pm. Finally, we decided to have the plumber come the next day. The plumber had to replace two angle valves in order to get my sink to stop leaking. It had been leaking since the faucet had been removed the day before and I was told by another plumber that once the faucet was connected there would be no leaking. Roto-Rooter's plumber couldn't get the valves to stop leaking and I allowed him to replace them. When he caulked the sink he used clear silicone. The silicone was fine, it was the quantity he used that was the problem. He spread it two inches past the sink edge, making the whole area slimy and gross. He said it would dry in the morning and "wipe right off". That wasn't true. It had to be scraped off, I used my library card for the job. Why be sloppy? I've caulked bathtubs before and done a neater job myself. I wouldn't call them again.

Antoine arrived on time, quickly assessed the problem and began the drain clearing. Ended up running clearing cable some 70 feet into drain system. No problems now.

He did an efficient, quick and inexpensive job for me. There is nothing I don't like about him. Price was good and came after 10 o' clock in the evening and got the work done. He did not upsell.

They were very professional and showed me with a camera that roots had basically eaten the main water line. The very next day they came out. There was a 1 1/2 - 2 hour wait for the appointment due traffic and that they were across town. The trench they needed to dig was very deep and when they were done they replanted the grass and two rose bushes. The also provided two access points so it would be easier to reach the main water line in the future. The provided a discount on the service.

This is the first time I hired the company. The technician who came to my house was really nice and honest. He came out for their $49 drain unclogging special. The next day, it seemed to have not worked well and he came out again at no cost. Overall, it was good experience.

Michael and Herman are a great team to represent Roto Rooter. Michael has a great understanding of what needs to be replaced and did not attempt to sale us something that we did not need. Michael's attitude was great, prices were reasonable and the work was outstanding. Would choose Roto Rooter over any plumbing company in the Kingwood area.

The service man was punctual and polite. He covered his work shoes gave an estimate cost of service, and then proceeded to extract the huge hairball from the tub. He then clean up the area packed his tools and left a very satified customer. I have used Roto Rooter in the past and have had just as satifactory results, they will be my next plumbing need call as well.

Freddy was great. He was polite, punctual and professional - all on a Sunday afternoon. While the work wasn't incredibly complex, Freddy took the time to explain the cause and effect, and let me know the range of remedies, as well as prices. Fortunately, the simplest fix worked. The entire process took less than an hour, including the cleanup of some pretty foul drain gunk that came out with the snake. Not an inexpensive service, on a dollar-per-hour basis, but worth it to not have to deal with missing work to have it done mid-week. If your time is worth more than the cost of repair, I'd definitely recommend Roto-Rooter for your "need-it-right-now" plumbing repairs.

On time great job same day service

Joseph, the technician, was right on time, very polite and explained exactly what he was doing the whole time. The problem was solved quickly, he cleaned up the area nicely and gave me good advice on how to take care of the drain on my own to prevent further problems.

They did a good job and were very knowledgeable. Very punctual. I called Roto Rooter after John Moore Services told me they couldn't come out until Monday (this was on Saturday). This was the second time I called Roto Rooter after an initial call to John Moore Services. They accept coupons.

Great experience. Scheduled the appt at the preferred time. Punctual and courteous. Not a terrible price for a Sunday evening. Joe could not have been nicer.

I called on Thursday and Roto-Rooter said that they could send out a technician on Friday, which was great. On Friday morning, the dispatcher called me and said she had a technician en route to my house. Almost immediately after that, the technician called my cell phone. He asked what type of work I wanted done. He sounded as if he was still in bed or had just woken up. I could be wrong but it was about 8am, so it's possible. I was a little confused because I thought he was on the way, so I asked him why he was asking. He said that the dispatcher can't give a quote over the phone but that he could. I thought that was also a little unusual for a whole house repipe, but he assured me that they do them all the time. I described where the pipes were and he quoted a price that was about $1000 over the last quote I received. This experience didn't make me feel confident in hiring Roto-Rooter, so I'm going to go with one of the other companies who will actually send a technician to do an estimate on a job of this size.

Job was called in on a late Friday afternoon. The job was completed the next day (Saturday).

I scheduled an appointment 2 days prior to have a simple drain line cleaned. I was told to expect a service technician to arrive between 5-8pm on the scheduled day. The technician never arrived! No call, no email, no anything! I called at about 7pm to make sure my appointment was still scheduled and was told by the so called "dispatch" (after they routed me from the call center) that it was. I then never heard anything until after 8pm when I called them! They told me they would have a manager call. I then get a call from a very unprofessional and rude individual who told me that their technician "got held up" and that they only have ONE person working at the time for all of Houston! She got very rude when I mentioned that it would have been nice to have a simple phone call to let us know this information. The next day I get a call from someone a little more professional(from a call center) that apologized for the problem. She explained that they do not have enough staff on schedule, that this has been an on going problem for a while, and that she will have a "talk" with the dispatch rep. They offered to reschedule. I declined. I rented a rooter from a local hardware store and did the work myself. Do yourself a favor and please, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME with Roto-Rooter. Support small businesses that can not afford to treat people like this. I wish I would have.

Great job, very hard working service tech had a huge job but did it with a smile and let me a ask a ton of questions.

We had been told by village plumbing that the cause of a blocked downstairs sink was a broken toilet line. After they left it became rapidly obvious that the entire building was having issues. As I am the manager of the building I contacted Roto-Rooter who we use for all of our HOA plumbing work. Denton Scott came out immediately and discovered just a few minutes after arrival that our entire common line all the way to the city sewer was backing up.he then went to the nearest city man hole cover and found that it was completely full of sewage to the point of overflowing. At this point I contacted the city of Houston emergency line and was informed that they would come out to "check" the line within 72 hours! By this time we had sewage backing up into our building and flooding out of the open clean out into our flower bed. The situation was bad and getting worse as all of our building downstairs toilets had ceased flushing and sewage was coming out around all of the cracked clean out covers. At this point Denton could have decided it wasn't his problem but instead he spent the next 4 hours tracking down sewage man hole covers (many of which were buried or completely overgrown in empty lots) until he discovered the section of line that the blockage was in. The blockage was 1000 feet away from our building and served the entire block of buildings! There are 8 apartment buildings our condo building and 6 town homes that were dependent on that line. Our building was just lucky enough to be the lowest building and therefore the first to suffer problems. Denton jetted the main city line from three different manholes and finally managed to clear the clog after nearly 4 hours. Denton is officially our building hero and although they don't know it he also saved several hundred people 72 hours of sewage backing up into their homes. At this point I would have happily paid several thousand dollars but Denton handed me a bill for 650 dollars. I felt guilty paying so little for so much work. We have always had a good experience with Roto-Rooter and this most recent experience with Denton going above and beyond simply puts them at the top of our list. We will continue to be loyal and satisfied Roto-Rooter customers. We have now informed all of our owners to contact Roto-Rooter first when dealing with future plumbing issues.

Snaked the bathtub drain and adjusted the toilet. The last little 10 minutes toilet tank adjustment cost 30.00, which I felt was really high, but I was very glad that they could come out on a Saturday morning.

A few days later it backed up again. He came out and used a camera to look for problems in the line. Was able to finally clear line. Blockage was under the patio in the back yard, past the washing machine.

It went very well. The service person was very professional.
