We hire this company in summer 2019 to fix our HVAC unit, they send inexperienced and unqualified labors. They were here for 4 days 2 of those days past 11 pm trying to install and replace our unit. After 4 days and being very unsatisfied with their services, I finally contact the company owner, who acknowledge their poor service and offered the unit for free. However, they NEVER finish the installation and the system has not worked correctly at all. Now we have been several days with the Heating not working and I called an external technician since I was advised by the sales rep, that Rotex will not service our unit. It's very frustrating they did such a poor job, my family and I have been suffering from their poor workmanship and they don't even have the decency to repair their mistakes. I will never recommend this company to anyone!! Their service is poor. I don't want to think that this was because of discrimination. But it is definitely how it feels. Be very careful with this company, since the owner would rather give away units for free that fix their mistakes, so customers don't complain. He also made my husband sign some paperwork that he and promise to bring us copies and the warranty of the unit and they never did.

I received a door hanger advertisement from Rotex on my gate several weeks prior to my air conditioner going kaput. I had set it aside because it mentioned financing options and a "free" media air filter, and knowing full-well that my unit was getting noisier and less efficient by the day and that I was inevitably going to have to replace this system. Lucky for me that I did, because lo and behold, not too long after, my a/c gave one final sputter and plunged us into the unbearable heat and humidity that is Houston weather. I searched frantically for the door hanger and called the number. It was 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 12, 2013. The phone was answered in just a few rings by Jerry, and after getting some information from me (and him giving me some information), he promised to be over to assess the system that day. In the meantime, I did a little research and found that while they had no reviews on Angie's List, they also had not a single BBB complaint in over 3 years. As promised, Jerry showed up that afternoon and had a look in my attic and at my unit. Oh joy, it was determined that everything was original to the house. He went over my options for replacement units and answered all my questions. There were options of interest free, same-as-cash payments and financing and I was completely overwhelmed. He told me as long as I got back to him any time that night that he could still get his crew out first thing the next day and that the work could be finished the same day. I texted him at 11:00 p.m. that night with my decision and he called me immediately. He assured me they would be there the next morning at 10:00 a.m. The next morning, Tuesday, August 13, the first crew member arrived promptly at 9:45 a.m. The rest of the "first" crew followed closely thereafter. They immediately began work and started ripping out the old system. I can't begin to explain how hot it was. The thermostat was registering in the high 80's inside the house (even that early in the morning) and I can't even imagine what it was in the attic. Despite this, the "first" crew of 4 worked diligently all day long. Jerry showed up around 12:00 p.m. to check in on the work and confirm that everything was going smoothly. With the heat being as brutal as it was, it was explained to me that they would probably have crews switching on and off, which was of course fine with me. Around 5:00 p.m., we had a "second" crew show up to relieve the guys who had been there all day long. The later it got, the more it became evident that they were not going to be able to finish as originally promised. Around 7:00 p.m. they apologized and explained that they could give us a gift card to spend the night in a hotel or they could try to get the system up and running enough to supply air conditioning to only the master bedroom. We chose the latter because we have two dogs and there was no way we were going to leave them behind. They kept working hard to get the system up and running, and around 8:00 p.m., Jerry returned with 2 more crew members and worked right along side them to try as hard as they could to deliver as promised. By around midnight, they had not only had the master supplied with air, but they had everything installed and running with the exception of ONE vent (leading into the master bathroom)! They promised that they would return at 9:00 a.m. the following day to finish everything up. The last crew member stayed until 2:00 a.m. to finish what he could and as promised, they returned the following morning, Wednesday, August 14, and finished up the remaining issues and had everything running perfectly. Now, for what took so long... ROTEX REPLACED EVERYTHING. And when I say EVERYTHING, I mean EVERYTHING. They not only replaced the unit, but the furnace, the coil, the return, the exchange, the ducts, the dampers, the thermostat, the wiring to the thermostat, every pvc pipe, every copper pipe, every metal grill/grate, the concrete slab. Every last inch of my HVAC system was ripped out and replaced. On top of that, on the morning of the final day, Wednesday, an unbelievably sweet housekeeper arrived at my door, ready to clean up after the conclusion of the work. She was very pleasant and did a fantastic job cleaning, vacuuming and mopping the house. I have never been so happy with a decision in my life. Although they weren't completely finished in one day, they never stopped working--even when the temperatures were registering in the mid- to upper 90's inside the house. It was so hot that they were having to come down frequently just to get air and I am amazed that even that did not deter them from replacing all the copper pipes and the added heat of the blow torches that came along with that. Most importantly, we DID sleep cool that night. Jerry and the Rotex crew were beyond amazing and I won't think of using anyone else in the future, nor will I hesitate to recommend them to anyone that I can.
Description of Work: Rotex replaced the entire HVAC system in my 36 year old home.
