After our 12.5 year old Stanley garage door opener died late Tuesday afternoon, I went online on angieslist.com to find garage door opener installers in our area. Regency Garage Doors had a substantial number of excellent reviews, so even though it was already after 5:30PM, I gave their phone number a call. The gentleman I spoke with was very professional, informative, and accommodating. He told me that they had a special promotion to remove our old garage door opener and install a brand new Liftmaster garage door opener for $350 + tax. When I told him we were Seniors, he lowered to price to $315 + tax. If we bought our own garage door opener, he said they could install it for $100 to $120. After further research regarding the cost of suitable garage door openers, I called him back the following morning after 9:30AM and accepted his $315 offer. I asked when we could arrange to have it installed, and I was told by noon of the same day (Wednesday). The installer (Jesus) arrived at our front door a little after 11:30AM. Jesus was very professional, friendly, and efficient. He answered all our questions and was very accommodating to our requests. In about 1 hour, he had completely removed our old garage door opener and assembled and installed our brand new garage door opener. He showed us how everything worked and was very patient and helpful. We were very pleased with the service offered by Regency Garage Doors and would certainly use them again as the need arises. We would also recommend their services very highly to our friends and neighbors.

Came at the time I requested which was one day after I sent the request. By the way, they answered the request through Angies list within 5 minutes of my posting it. Did the job quickly, on time, reasonable cost, and everything works well now. My garage door just stopped working, specifically, the receiver was not receiving so none ot the transmitters worked. I figured I needed a new motor opener unit but wasn't sure. They came out, confirmed that's what was needed, replaced same day (in fact upgraded the unit from what we had), programmed keypad plus 2 transmitters all on the same day. All for $350. Sweet !!

They answered the phone at 6:15 am (i was expecting voicemail) & they agreed to have someone out the same day. Jesus called prior to visit as agreed on time & assessed the problem and explained my options for repair or replacement. The price was very affordable to repair and the work was completed within the hour. I was VERY pleased with this experience and would recommend them to anyone!

They responded immediately. They didn't have the appropriate spring on their truck due to it being an unusual design/size. They came back 2 hours later with the correct springs. And they install 4 new springs, reset the opener, door, rollers, track so it would perform better. We received excellent service. The technician was Jesus. He was very professional, articulate, polite, really knew what he was doing, efficient and helpful. It would be hard to imagine receiving any better service. Dennis

The company representatives were very responsive and flexible. They were willing to give me us a same day appointment and after standard working hours. Jesus, the technician, was excellent; he arrived on time for both appointments, was courteous and professional, and worked very efficiently. He finished his assignment in well less than an hour both times. For the first appointment, I needed the garage opener coupler replaced. I had previously installed one myself, after the prior one broke due to brittleness after a couple of years since we bought our home, but due to improper alignment, the inner thread wore out extremely fast and stopped working. Another garage repair company (Garage service pros) looked at it and refused to fix it because they suggested that our door absolutely needed a higher grade garage opener due to it being solid wood instead of aluminum and that they couldn't warranty the repair, but they didn't even bother looking at the rest of the garage equipment to do a tune up, and they still charged a service fee. It seemed like they were just trying to make a sale. Then I contacted Regency Garage Doors, and they were very prompt. Jesus did also suggest that the garage opener could be replaced with a more powerful and sturdy (2 rails instead of 1) opener, but he still proceeded with replacing the coupler without hesitation, tightened all the bolts, lubricated, and checked for any potential issues. He observed that one of the cables was near the end of its useful life and was in fact starting to tear, and that the bottom wheels were improperly placed and misaligned. He was not pushy in trying to sell a service, but the information he provided did help us proceed with taking care of those items right away. The second appointment we scheduled also went very well. The time window they provide is very well defined (5:30 - 6:00) instead of the wide, very general time windows that other companies provide. I felt the price was very fair for the services provided, professionalism, and convenience. I would definitely consider them to do additional repairs and to replace the motors when needed.

Jesus is knowledgable and professional. He answered all my questions (I like to understand what will be done, how, and if I have any options). He is polite, courteous, and professional. He worked at a continuous pace - no slacking. I am recommending him to everyone! I don't think it is possible to get better service from any nicer a person. I will request Jesus if I ever need garage door help again.

Regency was very prompt, arriving a few minutes early. The garage door getting new rollers is 20 years old and also had a ding in the metal door from when my mother accidentally went forward on the driveway instead of reverse. The service tech not only put in the new rollers as expected, but he offered to try and straighten out the metal a bit to help the door roll more smoothly and stay in alignment. Perfect! Very professional. Even asked my permission to leave one of their service stickers on the wall in the garage. Yes, please!

Jesus came over quickly, within the hour. He was polite and immediately diagnosed the problem and gave a few options. I chose to have two new coils put in and he finished within Thirty minutes.

These folks are the best! I called them a little past 4pm after I discovered I could not get my overhead garage door to open using the door opener, and I was unable to manually open the door. Unfortunately, my vehicle was still inside the garage. Daniel came out within 2 hours of my call. He was very courteous and professional and did a super job. It is rare nowadays to find a contractor of this caliber. I would not hesitate to recommend Regency to others.

Garage door is rattling and making loud noise, does not close when opened. Jesus showed me the chain rust and broken part. recommended to install new opener instead of repairing. The garage door is working good now. installed new remotes and outside key panel.

This was a Sunday afternoon on Labor Day Weekend!! Garage would not open - cars stuck in garage - did not think there sas a chance of getting help - but I got a very pleasant surprise. David answered the phone on the first ring, called me back within 5 minutes that an experienced technician would be there within an hour! Jesus came, had all parts needed, and installed efficiently and expertly. Best service anyone could want, and on a Sunday on a Holiday weekend - no extra charge for that. They cover a large area of Houston - I recommend them to anyone.

Jesus arrived on time. He was very professional. Arguably, one of the best service providers we've ever had come to our house. He was polite, explained everything to my wife and treated her with respect. We had them replace the other spring for a few extra dollars (if was rusted and likely going to snap soon as well), additionally we bought another garage door opener. Jesus made suggestions, however my wife never felt like she was being up-sold. He oil all the parts and now our garage door is smoother and quieter than ever.

Jesus arrived and looked at the problem. He told us what was wrong and gave us a few different options for repair. He replace all 10 wheels and replaced the 2 wheel pulley, straightened a bent bracket then attached it to the garae. He added a bracket to the bent and cracked garage door panel. He then attached the garage door opener and adjusted the force. Lubed all moving parts and told us what type of lube to use. He collected up all his tools and all old parts. He went to his truck to write up the bill and answered every questioin we had.

My garage door has been bouncing back up (when attempting to shut the door) for 7+ years. Jesus from Regency diagnosed the issue, gave me a quote and had the door fixed within 90 minutes. I waited a couple weeks to confirm his work would last for the long haul...and it works perfectly. Regency was the third 'garage door' vendor I called over the past 7 years and the only one to actually fix my issue of the door bouncing back open 20% of the time. Highly recommend this company and specifically Jesus.
