Rain Mizer

When I bought my house, the gutters on it were not installed well at all. In fact, whenever it rained, it was like I had no gutters. So Angie's list recommended Rainmizer and then I found out that my vet and neighbor also had used this company and raved about them. So I talked with Teresa at Rainmizer. She was very approachable and friendly and knowledgeable. She explained everything she was measuring for. She asked me lots of questions to find out what I wanted. She was just awesome. She is the perfect person for the sales or front of the company. Then when David came out to put the gutters up, he was professional and did excellent work. And something else that impressed me was that they had that device where they could run my credit card through their cell phone. If all home contracting companies had this device, it would make home repairs so much easier for the customer. Rainmizer does really care about making their customers happy. Use them. You won't be sorry.

Everything went very well. Theresa was great to speak with on the phone. When we scheduled the appointment to get the quote, she went ahead and put me on the work schedule as well. This way, assuming everything went great with the quote, i could get my gutters installed just a day or two later. This was a big plus. The price quote was better than others by hundreds of dollars. Upon arrival, i decided to add more gutters than i had previously requested. Theresa was accommodating and the crew was able to add some of it right then that day. The rest they are coming back to install today. We had our first rain yesterday so I scoped out how things were working. I do have some questions that i'm sure the crew will be able to answer/fix when they arrive today.

Theresa came out and did a phenomenal job explaining the process and the options for putting up new gutters. She was cognizant of budget constraints and made suggestions on how to best maximize my budget without sacrificing quality. The team that came out to install the gutters did a great job and left the work areas clean ... they didn't even drop anything in the pool (which is more than I can say for my roofers). Great folks, fair prices. Update - Came back out (spring 2014) to add the leaf guards on the back. Did a great job, honored the original quote, cleaned up after themselves ... and upgraded the leaf guard in a couple of trouble areas without asking for any additional $$$. Stellar job guys - keep it up.

Our builder only installed gutters on the front. I contacted Rain Mizer to put gutter systems on the side and back of our house. I am very happy with the results. Very easy to set up appointments via email. The installation crew were professional and friendly. They had trouble making my original Friday appointment due to weather issue. They called me in time to inform me the change of appointment and came back Saturday morning to finish the job. Definitely would recommend Rain Mizer.

1) Theresa was extremely knowledgeable when we first contacted her. She met with my wife and provided great recommendations. She didn't push the sell on us instead she stated what Rain Mizer could offer and provided a sketch identifying the locations of the down spouts. My wife and her then selected a color that matched our house perfectly. Theresa then provided a very very very reasonable price. Rain Mizer was the third company we looked at and they easily (by hundreds) had the most affordable price. 2) They were able to schedule an appointment within a week of our initial meeting. Theresa and Rodney both stayed in contact and verified the appointment prior to the selected date. In addition, they called me beforehand to inform me the builders were on their way. This may not seem like a big deal, however I have had the worst luck when I tell people to call me before hand before they come to my house, so it was very nice to have Theresa and Rodney keep their word. 3) The builders were fantastic, they showed up and went to work and finished in approximately 3 hours, which is how long we were told it would be. The gutters look fantastic and blend into our house perfectly. The builders also offered recommendations for one trouble spot we have where the water messes up our mulch. We plan to follow their direction and remove a small shrub (which we wanted to get rid of anyways) and add some rocks to the area. The builders left absolutely no mess, payment was quick and easy, and they were respectful and professional the entire time. 4) The Houston area has a lot of options for gutters, but I think anyone would be hard pressed to find better service and prices than Rain Mizer.

Rodney added gutters to an existing system. There were a few minor glitches based on part availability, but I was informed of this and there was already a plan of action to fix the issues by the time I was told. There was no additional inconvenience to me. I truly appreciate the responsible attitude.

Theresa came out to do our estimate and help with color choices and configuration. She was very knowledgeable and professional. The installation was done on the scheduled date and we are very pleased with the results. There was no evidence they had ever been on the property except for the great new gutters. Once we stated that we selected them from Angie's List, we were given an immediate discount. I would be happy to do business with this company again.

The company was wonderful from the on time friendly estimate, to continued communication, their expertise in selecting the product perfect for my home, to a price I couldn't refuse. I did not encounter one single issue from start to finish.

Very professional from the estimate by friendly Theresa to the installation by Dave and his assistant. My new house in Cinco Ranch only had gutters installed on the front by the builder, but my inspector strongly recommended putting gutters on the sides and front to protect the foundation in the highly expansive soil in the Houston area. In addition to protecting the foundation, I needed gutters to protect the flower beds and grass in the back from the roof runoff with no gutters. I selected the company based on reviews on Angies List and wasn't disappointed.

Theresa is terrific - with selecting the gutter color, measuring - the removal crew was great - no damage to any plants - and the installation team had to work in very bad weather conditions to get finished as promised. Everything went perfectly - no surprises!

I was not on site when the work was done. When I came home all of the gutters were up and every thing looks great. The price was a little high but with the quality and workmanship it was worth it. I would highly recommend them.

That was the second time I used this company. Both times the contractor showed up when agreed and performed an excellent job. You do not even need to be present when they actually install the gutter. All details are discussed during the preliminary meeting and then the quote is sent to you by email. Invoice can be sent by the email too so you print it and mail it to the company if you are satisfied with the job. And I definitely was.

Theresa was always prompt in returning phone calls - that's important to me. She came out and gave me an estimate and showed me the products she would be using. She was very knowledgeable and business-like. The gutters were installed in a timely manner. The day my installation was scheduled (a Wednesday) ended up on a rainy week. Rather than move my installation all the way to the next week, the crew came on Saturday to install the gutters. The job didn't take long and everything was left perfectly clean afterwards.

I sent them a request for a recommendation and quote through their website. Waited 10 days and did not hear from them. Contacted another vendor.

We hoped to get a repair and partial install of areas not already guttered on our house, and needed some protection against pine needles in certain areas. After several quotes from providers, it was apparent a complete redo was needed. Recommended design from Rain Mizer was more complete and addressed our concerns for taking the water away from problem areas. The job went very well. A team removed the old gutters quickly and removed all the debris. Under the gutters were several areas needing wood repair- which was not in the scope. Rain Mizer recommended someone who did a fine job repairing and painting the house trim where the new gutters would go- did it quickly and kept our project timing intact. The install was completed in one day- all new gutters, downspouts and pine needle covers where needed. Got a good test in the very next week of heavy rain and the trouble drainage we wanted to fix was indeed fixed with their recommended design. No surprises, really, as we were anticipating some type of wood repair would be needed. Clean, quick, professional crew.

Mr. Rodney came to my house right in time and gave us the estimate and also the date and time to start the work. Mr. Rodney was back in time on the day he promised and finished all the work. The work done is excellent. I am so satisfied that I will definitely work with Rain Mizer again and that too without getting the quote from other vendors. Thank you...

Rain Mizer?s sales lady Theresa was courteous, pleasant and efficient. She arrived on time, discussed the project, made recommendations and then scoped the job. After 45 minutes I had a quote in my hand detailing the work. The fascia and soffit around the house needed quite a bit of work and Theresa put me in touch with John Millican who did the work separately. Also a very good job. The gutter installation crew arrived and installed the new gutter system. Again courteous and efficient. I am happy with the work

Theresa came to give us the free estimate within a couple of days of our request. She is very knowledgeable and helped us decide what size, placement and color would work best for our situation. The crew came a few days later and worked quickly and professionally. Would definitely recommend them to anyone!

We bought a new construction and the builder installed gutters across the front of the house as part of the package, but wanted a lot more to install gutters across the back of house than I was willing to pay. I called several companies from Angies list for estimates and all responded. Rain Mizer was not the lowest quote, but was the only one who came out and made recommendations on configurations and downspouts. They were the only one who recommended extra downspouts because of the rooflines and pitch of the roof. They were also the only ones who took time to answer my questions. The day of the installation I called and asked Theresa if she would ask her guys to be careful since I had just had new sod put in and the ground was soft. I was not present at the installation, but when I got home there was not a dent in the sod. If I had not seen the gutters I would have thought that there had not been anyone there at all. The gutters looked great and in fact looks a lot better than the 4 inch gutters the builder installed on the front. Customer service is becoming a rare commodity, and it is a pleasure to finally find someone that offers it. After being in Houston for just over a year I was beginning to think it was non-existent in this area.

Theresa responded promptly and came out to give us an estimate. She was very informative and forthright about the different alternatives, and she had great ideas for some of the unique challenges our roof configuration presented. Because we have tall pine trees surrounding the house, we went with the tighter curved wire mesh covers to keep out the leaves and pine needles. Theresa's brother, David, and his crewman, Angel, were on time on installation day and were efficient and professional. They did an excellent job of fabricating the gutters onsite and installing them. David gave me a few different options for how the front-of-house gutters would be configured and was willing to take the time to let me look at one option and the flexibility to change it if I didn't like the way it looked. In the end, the gutters look absolutely beautiful.....they give the house a nice, crisp, finished look (kind of like exterior crown molding!). It was a pleasure doing business with a family-owned and -run business.....they really take pride in their work and have a delightful sense of humor! My husband and I highly recommend them!

The collector boxes were custom made and carried a real cost, but when complete they along with the three story downspouts function and look well matched. I'd use Rain Miser again

You'll want every provider to be as thorough and quality driven as Rain Mizer. During a new roof install I had decided to replace my old leaky gutters as well. Theresa Darbonne accommodated my schedule and I needed an appointment ASAP. She had explained to me that my current gutter system appeared somewhat undersized, particularly due to the roof pitch of my house. After estimating the amount of materials needed (I chose to go with a larger sized gutter to handle our downpours and included a leaf guard) she provided a written quote on the spot. Theresa said that her brother is the main installer for their business. The work was scheduled quickly and performed in one day. During installation, they let me know that due to the larger sized gutters, they could eliminate one downspout that was not truly needed. So that saved me a few hundred dollars! I was more than pleased with the finished work. .

A pleasure to work with from beginning to end. They scheduled an appointment for an estimate within 2 days of when I called. Price very reasonable for a complete replacement. Explained the options and products well. The old guttering was literally falling off the house so they had to remove all the old materials, repair/ replace/ paint fascia boards, and install the new guttering, flashing and downspouts. The whole project was completed in one week, and we couldn't be happier with the results. Everyone was polite and easy to work with, and they cleaned up when finished. They were very responsive when I called or emailed, and always got back to me within a day. Highly recommended.
