Earlier this year I was backing out of my driveway to go to work and noticed that the garge wasn't closing properly. I tried to close the garage myself and only made matters worse as the door fell partially of the tracks. I had auditors scheduled at my office and my husband was out of town. I was frantic as I couldn't leave the house with an open garage. I checked Angie's list and saw the great reviews for Quality Door Service and called Bob at 7:30am. He said that he might be able to get to me at 10:00 that same day if a previously scheduled client didn't confirm. Else he would see me at 1:00. Amazingly I received another call at 9:00 to say would be able to see me at 10:00am. Even more amazingly, Bob and a helper showed up exactly at 10:00. They immediately got to work. He thought that the repairs would take 35 minutes. He explained the problems to me, gave me maintenance procedures, pointed out issues that would need attention in the future. They finished at 10:35. I was on my way to work for at 10:40 and was so impressed with this gentleman, his helper and excellent service provided. I had assumed that I might miss a day or more of work during this very busy time for me. No one could believe that I had this problem solved in less than a half day. Also, our garage no longer sounds like a freight train opeining and closing- much quieter and smoother. Will definitely call again and will gladly recommend.

They did a good job. The lubing they did on the main spring that the grease dripped down onto the garage floor.

We have used Bob several times and he comes at the drop of a hat, especially when there is an emergency. He brings competent help and does the job quickly and efficiently. His charges are always very fair and he does just what is needed, never more than necessary. He is highly recommended for garage door work.

Bob answered the phone on Saturday evening and we talked about the issue on my garage door. He was ready to come out on Sunday, however, due to my time, we made arrangements for the repairs on Tuesday. Our garage door went off track late Sunday night. We found this company on Angie's List and called first thing Monday morning. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to come out Monday, which worried me because the garage door wouldn't close. But we scheduled with him for early Tuesday morning. He showed up around the time projected and quickly fixed the problem - an obscure part needed to be replaced. He had it on his truck and fixed it. He also reattached the chain. The garage door works great now and sounds a lot quieter. I feel that we received a fair price.

Bob diagnosed the problem over the phone and estimated the cost up front. He was right on time for my appointment and repaired exactly what was wrong with my Garage Door Opener. He also replaced all our garage door rollers for only an additional $20 dollars. Now my garage door operates very smooth and quiet. I also received a $10 discount mentioning Angie's List. I am very impressed with Quality Door Service and will use this company in the future for any garage door repair needs.

Called Quality Door Service on Monday morning, got a quote, and made an appointment for Monday afternoon. Bob and his assistant arrived on time, inspected the door, and advised that the job took less material than expected and revised the quote from $179 to $129. He asked where I had heard about his business. I told him Angie's List, and he told me that qualified for a 10% discount. 45 minutes later the job was complete and they advised me about periodic maintenance. Just a great experience and a great company. Highly recommended!

Bob did a great job for us. Ours was not an emergency, and since he was booked up on the day that we called, he came over the next afternoon, on time, and with a phone call in advance, as we requested. I appreciate the fact that he did not overcommit by overbooking his day. They actually upgraded our door by adding a second spring, so hopefully it will be a long time before we have to worry about this repair again. They completely replaced all rollers and lubricated the system, taking the time to show us exactly what needs to be done, as well as offering advice on maintaining the second door, which has a different spring system. They also advised specifics on the proper lubricant and maintenance cycles. We needed an extra remote control as well, which they were able to provide and program for us. Bob did a great job for us, and I would recommend them highly to anyone needing garage door maintenance.

Spring broke Saturday night. Logged into Angie's List and found QDS as a top-rated provider open on Sundays. Called and left a message. Received call back in about a half hour and told me they would be able to come out same afternoon. They installed new springs, lubricated the hinges and wheels, and tested the door to ensure all was functioning properly before leaving. Also gave advice on how to care for the moving parts so they'll last longer.

Bob showed up on time.The pre-paid deal I signed up for was just for maintenance on my garage doors. But one of the garage-door-openers was not actually working. Since that will be repair and not maintenance, I was not sure if Bob would fix it without additional charge. After I told him it is not working, he promptly proceeded to fix it without any renegotiation of the price. While he was repairing the opener, his partner did maintenance on the other one. The whole work was completed in less than 30 minutes. Bob is the go-to-guy from now on to service my doors and garage doors for the following reasons. He and his partner educated me on how I can lubricate the doors myself. Other companies I used in the past did never mentioned that. By doing this, I will save money in the future by not having someone do this for me and I can do this without waiting for someone come and do it for me. Bob mentioned to me to call him if there any problems with the garage doors in the future. He will try to help me fix minor problems myself without charge. If he asked, I would have paid extra to fix the automatic garage door opener since it appear to be be not included in the prepaid deal. But he did not. Both of them are courteous and friendly and sure that they did good work on the doors.

Saturday night we headed out to dinner. I closed the garage door and heard a sound like it hit something on the way down. I went to reopen the door to check for any obstructions and nothing happened, no movement or anything. After going in the front door to investigate I noticed that the spring had broken and the cables were hanging loose. After returning from dinner I logged onto Angies list to hopefully find someone kind enough to come out on a Sunday to repair the door as this is our primary means of entry and exit on a daily basis for both us and the kids. 10 minutes after leaving a message, Bob returns my call and said he would not be able to make it out that day due to family in town but he could send his assistant of over twenty years to get us back operational. I was shocked! Not only with his eagerness to want to help but to stop what he was doing and make it happen on a Sunday. Less than an hour later this very nice gentleman shows up to take a look at the door. He takes a few minutes and then Bob calls and says we can repair whats there but if this is your primary means to get into the house, he suggests replaceing the rollers with stronger more durable rollers and add a second spring which is the way that door was designed to operate with. He said it's completely up to you but I had already told him what I expected from the garage door and he had already earned quite a bit of trust by doing exactly what he said he would up to that point. I gave the OK and and his assistant went at it. Before I knew it he was making the final adjustments and it was much better and quiter than before. It not only went up, it came down as well... quietly. I will be not only calling them but referring them to friends and employees that could use this service. Great company! Thank you again Bob.

The moment I heard Bob's voice on the phone and saw him in person working, I knew that he was knowledgeable at his job, very professional and worked efficiently. I contacted his company to replace one of the springs that broke; I decided to ask him to replace all of them because since we had moved in, about 13 years ago, we never got the garage doors serviced and the house is quite old. They were so loud and every time we opened them up, if we had guests in the guest room downstairs, they would wake up! Bob pointed out that the wheels were also causing all that noise to what I immediately asked him to replace. He wasn't pushy at all, on the contrary, he gave me the freedom to decide. In summary, our garage doors are like new, the noise decreased by 80% if not more! P.S. Bob is a very nice person who enjoys his job. He called me in advance to give me time to get home from work, he was polite and asked me where I heard about him. Quality Door's owner showed up exactly on time, inspected the door, and explained what needed to be done. They then went and repaired the one door at the same time, and called to check availability of a replacement door to be installed along with a team to do the installation. We set a time for the work to be done, and agreed on a price. The installation team showed up on time, explained how long the work would take, and got right to work. Once the door was about completely installed the tech told me of a minor problem with the new door, and explained the job to take a bit longer to complete. the problem was a result in the difference in the old and new doors not being exactly the same. The worked for another 15 minutes, explained some basic maintenence suggestions and demonstrated the door's operation, and hande me an invoice for my review. Everything was done weel.

Well, I am impressed.... Bob said on the phone he could probably fix my door in half an hour and he did! Why did I wait a year to get this done? They were very friendly, fast, and informative .Bob showed me how to maintain the door and made sure I was using the right product to do it. I really appreciated his honesty and advice. Nice job!

They were here on time, very quick and efficient. Extremely curteous and appreciative of my time without rushing through the job. Professional, knowledgeable about any question I asked. I have been using another service but was very pleased with them. And as it turns out, my neighbor uses them as well. I didn't know that until they told me. Thanks guys!!

It went great! When I called to set up the appointment someone answered the phone took all my information and said Bob would get back to me that day to schedule the work. He called in about an hour and set up a date that worked well for me. He arrived on time and performed the agreed upon service very well. There were hinges were out of place and loose and he reattached and tightened them. He replaced all the rollers. Realigned the motion detector and beam, he oiled all the moving parts and adjusted the track. He informed me that in the future I might consider replacing the springs because they were rusting. The spring replacement is not part of the general garage door reconditioning package. He said it didn't need to be done now but I should consider it down the line. I appreciated that. So, I scheduled him out later today to replace that. The garage door opener is old and the whole thing was bumpy and ratty and noisy. It's like better than new now. Great job. Quiet easy breezy. He was quick professional and skilled. He has an assistant that works well with him and he makes things go smoother and quicker If you have a garage door issue..these are your guys!!

I looked to Angie's list for the first time to actually get something fixed. I called two other companys they were not open as it was Saturday afternoon. So, on Sunday I checked out the list some more and read the comments about Quality Door. Even though the ad said they phone would be answered, I did not think a Sunday was the thing too do. First thing Monday, I called Quality and told the owners wife I had two openers go out within a day of each other and needed them replaced. She had Bob call me in less than 30 min. After explining the situation, I said I want to replace both openers as they were twelev years old. Bob would not hear any of it. He insisted he would fix them in about 30 min. So, an appoinment was made for two days later as I could not be at the house. Bob and Larry show up on Wednesday agter calling to say they were on their way. Yep, fixed the openers in 30 Min, even oiled the rollers, hinges and track. So, inconclusion, DO NOT hire these guys! They will try to save you money.

I found Quality Door Service on Angie's List. I called about a recent special and also about potential safety issues of aged springs. Bob was very helpful and patient during the call. Based on the age of my house and maintenance experience, Bob speculated that the springs and rollers would probably need to be replaced. We scheduled an appointment on the next week day. Bob called before coming to the house and arrived close to the scheduled time. He inspected the garage door and the operation. He concluded that the only work required at this time was an adjustment of the clutch of the garage door opener. His assistant lubricated the rollers and springs. Bob educated me on the proper lubricant and frequency of applying it. A sign of a reputable contractor is one who only does the work that is required!!!

They showed up on time, diagnosed the problem, and quickly repaired the door as well as doing a general service. The problem had been serviced previously by another company and the repair had been done incorrectly. I was very happy with the service. The repairman explained everything he did and educated me on how to keep the door working well by doing simple ongoing maintenance.

Bob showed up when he said he would and did what he said he would do. What more can anyone ask? If only other companies handled their business affairs in this manner. My garage door operates with a mild hum now instead of a loud screech. Thank you Bob!!

There's a great reason that Bob has so many A ratings on Angie's list. It's because he does fantastic work! He's a jovial fellow who knows his business. Very personable and spot on time. Fixed a cable on my garage door, replaced a roller and installed an opener. All he billed me for was the opener! Thanks Bob and here's hoping you have continued success!

Bob looked at our garage door and said it didn't need anything except a good oiling. He showed me what type of oil to use periodically. He said he really couldn't charge me for coming to my home and looking at the door because the door didn't need any servicing. Needless to say, we were very impressed. We highly recommend Bob.
