Quality Door Service

Quality Door Service was professional and on-time on both occasions out to my house. I bought an older home in the Woodlands build by Lennars in 2004. Of course, the garage was squeaking and sometimes between the hours of 10 – 12 in the morning, the garage door would not shut. Had Quality Door Service guys came out the first time to replace the rollers and add additional retention coil (torque coil). The garage still wouldn’t shut properly around the mentioned time frame. Had them came the second time to install “top of the line” garage opener. Seem to be working now.

On the initial call, there was some mixup on time with Bob the owner thinking that I had agreed to a time when I had not confirmed. But this mixup was addressed the following week and all turned out okay. Service was efficient and effective and in the future, will look to call this company in future door maintenance and/or replacement.

But here is the BEST part. Last week I did something stupid and popped a roller out. I called at 7 pm, Bob answered and sent someone out the next morning. They fixed the problem and didn't charge me. I will use them again for any thing! Great service.

Bob was excellent with communication from the start and great to deal with.He arrived at the time that he had set and knocked out all the repairs/maint. within 15 minutes.Then, he gave me a quick maintenance lesson to keep everything working in tip top shape for years to come. Prior to his service my garage door opening or closing sounded like a cat in heat. You could hear it from anywhere in the house.Now, it's really quiet. Excellent work. Highly recommend.

About 4:00 Tuesday I discovered that one of my rollers had fallen out and that the door was not functioning properly. I looked on Angie's List and saw that they had a deal for garage door maintenance for $99.00. I tried to purchase the deal, but the price pulled up substantially higher. Based on the other reviews, I decided to go ahead and call at about 5:00. I was told they could come out on Wednesday at around 10:00. They called me about 9:30 to inform me they were on their way and arrived around 10:00. very The repair I called about went very quickly. They then lubricated the door and spring. The door still did not sound right so they recommended replacing all of the rollers. I explained about the problem purchasing the deal on Angie's List and they told me they would do it for that price. They also took the time to explain about what I needed to do to maintain the door in the future and hopefully avoid he need for door replacement. This was very useful as I really had no clue that I should be lubricating the hinges and spring on a regular basis. They were right on time and the actual service probably took 10 minutes or less. They did not try to sell me a new garage door or anything they did not think was needed. They were quite professional and, as far as I could tell, very knowledgable. I wish that all companies were as prompt and honest. In the past i have had companies try to sell me products or services that I did not need, usually for an inflated price. It was very nice to deal with a company that did not try to make the job larger than necessary. In the future I will definitely call them if I have any problems with my garage door or opener.

They did an excellent job. Arrived a few minutes before the appointment time and called to confirm that was ok. Came in and replaced the broken spring, check the other springs and cleaned them up and lubricated both doors. Bob also took the time to show me how to maintain the doors myself and also informed me of the products that they used for that purpose. The whole procedure only took about 30 minutes and I was back up and running. Thanks guys.

Bob and Larry are excellent. Bob returned our call immediately and scheduled a time for the next morning. That day, he called 30 minutes ahead to let us know they were coming, and they arrived right on time. Our garage door opener was over 30 years old, but Bob first told us how we could buy a new part and try to save money. We chose to buy a new door opener, and Bob and Larry installed it within 30 minutes. Bob also allowed us to test it, and he even programmed the remote in my car for me. I would recommend Bob and Larry to anyone. Great guys.

My garage door opener had been acting up for a few weeks. I found Quality Door Service on Angie's List and gave them a call. He came out right on time the next day and diagnosed the problem. Before he made any repairs, he called me to let me know what was needed. I gave him the okay to proceed and he made the repairs on the spot. He said that my garage door was needing to be replaced also, but he installed a new cross brace to hold me over for another year or so. He programmed the new and old remotes to work with the new opener, as well as the keypad outside. He also left me a can of lubricant and showed me where to put it and how often. Overall I was very happy with the service and I will definitely call them when it's time to replace my garage door!

Arrived on time, performed all the work, instructed me on twica a year maintenance, took 15 minutes from start to finish including replacing all the rollers! Owner and his tech were very friendly and seemed knowledgable. Bob did schedule my appointment around my work schedule, so thank you for that! My garage door did not need a lot of "extra work" and they were happy to work on my door BEFORE there were problems! (That is why they were quick!) Not much more to say, efficient, quick, friendly, knowledgable, thanks!

The large spring that allows my garage door to raise and lower properly snapped on Saturday night (we didn't realize what the noise was at the time). We discovered the problem late Sunday morning as we were attempting to leave for Mothers' Day brunch. The door would raise a foot or so and stop. Never having dealt with a broken garage door before, and given that it was Sunday, I expected to have to wait a while and to have to pay a lot. We called 4-5 different companies and Bob was able to get out the soonest and for a good price. Bob and his associate arrived toward the early part of the time window given. He explained to me exactly what they were going to do to repair the garage door. Bob also let me know that the garage door should have two springs, not just one, and the single spring was most likely due to cost savings during the initial install. With the second spring we shouldn't end up with the cars trapped in the garage again in the event that one of the springs breaks. Bob also upgraded the rollers to commercial grade rollers. The door is much quieter and smoother now. The automatic opener definitely doesn't have to work as hard. Bob was knowledgeable and friendly. He explained to me how to care for the garage door to get the best life out of the components. The work was done well and quickly and we even managed to get to a late lunch/early dinner! I would definitely recommend Quality Door Service.

We just moved into this house 2 weeks ago and immediately knew we would need some garage door service. It was loud and seemed rickety. I was thrilled when I saw the Big Deal of the day for Quality Door Service. This was the best $99 bucks we spent on this house so far. Bob was knowledgeable, personable and really friendly. He also told us several things to do for servicing that will extend the life of our door and springs. We will for sure call Bob again if we need our door serviced!

He did exactly what should be done and he fixed it. He was very sweet, helpful, and quick. They were rated really good in Angie's List. I would use them again if I have to.

I called him and explained the problem and he said to brush the cobwebs off the lens and it should fix it without having to pay him to do a service.

Started having garage door problems about 3 months ago and decided it was at a point that we probably needed someone to take a look at it. My husband and I had come to terms that we were going to need a new garage door. On Aug. 6th I logged into Angies list and did some homework on garage technicians in my area and came across Quality Door Service; with an overall "A" rating and over 200 customer comments I gave them a shot. I spoke to Trish on Aug. 6th and scheduled to have a technician come out for today (8/7). Bob and Larry arrived on time and gave a courtesy call 30 minutes prior to their arrival. After the initial assessment they broke the good news to us and informed us that we only needed a support brace for the damaged panel! $129 support brace vs. $650 new garage door. What a sigh of relief! They were able to perform the work in 15 minutes and included new rollers, lubing of hinges, and spring maintenance at no charge! We'll will definitly keep Q.D.S. in mind whenever we have garage door repairs or servicing and will recommend them to others in need. Thanks again!

He told me know that he could put them on but they wouldn’t be as good as the ones that I already have- mine are currently 25 years old. He sprayed the rollers and let me know how I could do it and which product I needed to use in the future. He gave me back $40 in cash and said he would just charge me for the service call instead.

Superb service/quality/and professionalism

The technician, Shawn, arrived half an hour early for the appointment. He replaced the rollers quickly and professionally, and showed me how to properly lube and maintain the door, even handing me a sticky-note with the product name on it. Then he went the extra mile. We had a small rear garage door that I had spectacularly blown up a few months ago when I triggered it not knowing the locking bar was in place. I asked him to look at it and give me a price. He checked the motor, hammered some twisted metal back into place, sank in screws to secure the spine to the door and reattach the motor track to the wall, reassembled the parts that had sprung (I did say it was spectacular), and lubricated the whole thing up so it works better now than before my epic fail...for free. This company will definitely have my repeat business and my recommendation.

I was not home when he got there so i asked him to start without me. Great job! very well start to finish.

Needed someone to come check 2 garage doors on a newly purchased home. Called to schedule an appointment and was able to pick the day and time for service. Arrived on time and got straight to work. Bob said the motors were good and he installed 2 limit switches and programmed and provided 2 new remotes. They cleaned all necessary hinges, rollers, etc. and gave instructions on how to maintain the doors in the future. Quick and efficient!

On time, polite, professional, explained what I should do to extend life of garage door parts.

my garage door was rusty and operable, they came on time as agreed and did more that what has been agreed, which was maintenance and not repair, they did repair the motor and lubricated the rail. garage door never been soundless and smooth since the day I bought the house.

Bob answered my initial call and scheduled the appointment for 2 days later. He showed up promptly as promised and got right to work. He was extremely personable and explained what he was doing every step of the way. He was candid in what I could expect from my door over time, and showed me how to get the most out of it. He gave me an Angie's list discount, and left me feeling great about the experience. To note: I uncovered that Bob has 35 years experience with garage doors. It showed, and I couldn't have been happier with his service. Simply put - outstanding!

They arrived on time, quickly performed said services, and instructed me on how to maintain the door myself to prolong the life of the door, including where to lube, where not to lube, etc.

They came out the next day and explained what could be done. They fixed it quickly, and asked how I heard of them. When I said Angies list, he gave me a discount. I would recommend them to anyone!
