Quality Door Service

It went fine. He seemed very knowledgable. But 2 weeks later the totally went off track. The new guy said that he should have seen the problem with my loose springs.

Great. They called to let me know they were on the way. Actually arrived a few minutes early. They kept me posted on what they were doing and why. Very professional.

The men were punctual, friendly and very informative about the fix and continued maintenance of my garage doors in the future.

The technician showed up early the next day as promised. He got right to work and adjusted and lubricated the mechanism. He adjusted the opening and closing force. He even swept the bottom of door to clean off debris that had accumulated there. He took care to do a thorough job. Could not be more impressed with his speedy and competent work.

Absolutely wonderful service. I first contacted Bob, the owner, to find out if his company services Katy / Cinco area and ask about the service. We discussed the service provided - spring and rollers replacement, and he told me one of his guys would come in a few days to give me a quote. That he would call me about 30 minutes prior to his arrival. And sure enough, I got a call that the tech was on his way and was going to be there in 30 minutes. When he arrived, he confirmed the work needed to be done and took 30-45 minutes to do all of his work. Also showed me how to maintain / lube parts and what to use! From what I can say, Bob and his team are wonderful group of people that I will use again. I've even talked with a few of my neighbors and told them if they will need their garage doors repaired, I have contact for them.

I called them at 3:30 pm and Bob had someone at my house by 8:30 am the next morning. He tried to give me some ideas on what it could be and his was right! Very professional and efficient - DM had the repair done within 45 minutes. Would highly recommend them!

It went great. Bob sent a technician (DM) to the house to scope out the job, no charge and no obligation. He got here when he said he would and we discussed what was happening with my opener (over ten years old) and the door (over 26 years old). quoted a repair cost and replacement cost and,with no pressure, let the wife and I decide what to do . I called them the next morning and the entire job was finished around lunch that day. It looks and works great. The final cost matched the original estimate. The service was prompt (who wants to manually open and close a double wide garage door waiting for an appt.?) and we are very happy!

The work was done quickly and efficiently. In addition to replacing the broken garage door spring, they also replaced the old rollers with new ones and lubricated the moving parts. They also took the time to explain how to keep it maintained and also left a lubricant spray can behind that works the best with garage door. The only negative was that they no longer come down to the South part of town for their service but they made an exception for me since I had purchased the service through Angie's list and it did not say prior to purchasing that they no longer serviced my area.

Bob, the owner, was very funny and a pleasure to talk to. Sean was the technician who came out and did a great job. He told me he would be done in 15 minutes and he was. He was clean and even gave me the oil when he was done. I would definitely use him again.

They very prompt and thorough. They came the very day I asked them to and it didn't take more than thirty minutes to complete the job.

Fantastic work. Replaced my cheap, broken, one spring setup with two springs, replaced old metal rollers with quite nylon rollers, checked tightness of brackets, lubed everything and verified performance before leaving. Very impressed with the quality of the work.

I've used these guys before and that's why I used them again. I was so impressed the last time the were here. No change this time. They score the maximum on every one of the six rating items listed above. They could not be more professional, punctual or responsive. They explain everything they're going to do and why. Then, when they're done, they explain what they did and anything additional they needed to do because of my specific situation. All for the quoted price. I got scheduled very quickly. Fast, efficient service. I will use no one but these guys in the future.

Technician arrived at appointed time, told me when I asked that he'd been in the business for 30 years. He brought out a pair of springs that turned out to be a little too small for the door size (glad he measured carefully) and then brought out larger springs that he said would cost a little more ($200 vs. $180 after 10% discount). Replaced springs and rollers in about 45 minutes but then there were some problems with erratic functioning of motor. He told me I needed a new gear ($140) but after some back-and-forth discussion we looked at the motor and the gear in there was actually in good shape. A little metal rod fell out of the motor assembly during the inspection and he determined that it was the wrong size (from a previous repair?) and he put in a slightly larger rod which fit more tightly and that turned out to solve the problem. Garage door works fine now, it's been ten days. Plus it's a lot quieter with the new rollers.

Apparently, I have a problem backing out of my garage. Well my problem is not really backing out my garage, but rather forgetting to open the garage door before I back out! While Quality Door Service cannot fix my carelessness, they I have found they are excellent at fix my mistakes. They have come out not once but the past 7 months to fix my garage door. The owner who I spoke with on the phone was very responsive to my needs and even shared a good laugh with me the second time I had to call for service. The same technician came out to fix my door both times, and I found him to be professional as well as very personable. He arrived at the scheduled time and quickly got to work fixing my garage door.

I highly recommend Quality Door Service. I called this morning, Bob came out this afternoon. Bob provided an honest assessment of the doors, was very knowledgeable, and was able to take care of a number of issues in one visit to get both doors working smoothly. Very reasonably priced. I cannot fault the service. It was a pleasure to have Bob take care of the issues with our garage doors. I only wish we had called him sooner!

The installer (another John (DM) came within the schedule slot and completed the task in a couple of hours. He was polite, neat, efficient (knew what he was doing) and answered all my questions. They also haul off all the components and parts removed, which I appreciate very much. The garage door now operators in a very smooth and quick manner. They also provided a repeater that allowed the door to be opened from the built in door opener in my wife's car. Well worth the price.
