The service man was punctual and very personable. The work was completed in less than an hour. I would certainly use them again and recommend them.

Same day service to replaced my broken garage opener with a new belt driven one. Bob is a real nice guy, he came over, went over my options, did the work, cleaned up and was gone in about 35 minutes. It was a perfect service experience.

My first experience with QDS was an advertised Angie's List deal to replace and adjust the garage door rollers for a reasonable price. They arrived at the scheduled time and very quickly performed the replacement and adjustment. Before leaving I was shown how to continue the maintenance for myself, and which products to buy and how to use them, to keep the door and rollers in good service. They also put a sticker next to the electric door opener with their business number, and this turned out to be very useful to me. Sometime later the counter balance spring broke (no fault of theirs, it was a 12-year old door), and prevented the door opening. They came out immediately and replaced the spring, and had the door back in working order in quick time. The fee was reasonable, for the parts and labor. They also took the time to inspect the rollers that they had installed and lubricate them before leaving. Yet another time the electric opener began to slip and would not lift the door without help. One call to the number on the sticker had them in my driveway within a couple of hours. A simple adjustment to the drive mechanism fixed the problem. This time the repair was so trivial they only charged an on-call fee for the trip. Once again, before leaving they inspected and lubricated the rollers gratis. I have always been please and happy to deal with Quality Door Service. I wish they handled other household appliances as well.

I purchased the garage door roller tune up Big Deal. The appointment was scheduled in 1 day. Service was performed as scheduled. The tech also noticed the motor was working too hard. The Tech upgraded the springs to account for added weight. He was able to install the correct springs for the new weight. The door works great now. Everything was done in about 1hour. Very pleased.

Amazing! From the time I called, to the completion of the work was less than two hours!! Bob returned my call in about 15 minutes, said Shawn would be here to do the job in less than an hour. Shawn arrived 15 minutes later and set to work. He made it look easy tho' I know it was not. He worked quickly, efficiently, and replaced the springs and rollers, and adjusted and lubricated everything while he explained what he was doing. Door has never worked so well. Nice job! Nice people! Definitely would recommend.

The gentlemen came out on time, with good attitudes, and did what they needed to do. They were professional and personable, and i would have no concern about either calling them again (which i most assuredly will do for myself) or recommending them to anyone else looking for this kind of work.

I highly recommend BOB's QUALITY DOOR SERVICE for servicing your garage doors. They were prompt according to scheduled time and called to let us know they were on the way. We just knew we were going to have to replace a garage door opener or two based on comments from our previous service company (who we fired). Quality Door Service was able to service our doors rather than replace any door openers. Bob (owner), explained adjustments and other self-service things I could do to keep the doors running smooth. On one motor, the tension couldn't be adjusted and appeared to be time for replacement. Bob opened the motor housing to clean a rusting inductor coil on the circuit board that prevented the tension control adjustment circuit from working. He then made tension adjustments to the motor and the door stopped jerking and retracting. I doubt the other company we used would have helped us get another couple of years out of our openers!

In December, Bob and his helper replaced hinges and whatsits on the door which made it work perfectly. They also lubricated it and performed other needed maintenance (we purchased our home recently from an older lady who apparently didn't get much help with these things....). We also had a new door opener that wasn't wired properly so the control panel on the wall quit working. Bob fixed this too. Complete magic! Best money ever spent. Bob also warned us the spring was near the end of it's lifespan, and told us what to do when it broke. Sure enough, couple months later and it broke. I'd never had that happen so if Bob hadn't told me what to expect it would have been much more inconvenient. So, we called Bob again who came out and replaced the spring and added a second spring (our builder cheaped out and only put one in the first place). I can't say enought about how nice Bob is and how well he knows his stuff. He's clearly in demand, but found time to help us the next day (a weekend both times by the way). His prices were more than fair - about $200 each visit. Money well spent!

i called Quality Garage Doors to repair the garage doors on both of my homes. They gave me an appointment very quickly. The men showed up on time and perfomed the repairs very quickly. It is nice to have doors that work properly now!!!! Thanks Quality!

My garage door opener quit working and I thought I needed a new one. Bob came out and said it just needed to be serviced and gave me a discount for Angie's List. He could have told me that I needed a new opener and I would have agreed, but he was honest and just did a tune-up. It is working better than new. He was punctual, professional and finished in no time. I would definitely recommend him and will use him in the future for all my garage door needs. THANKS BOB!

When I called I was told that the owner was away but they would get him a message. He called me back within 15 mins. He asked when It would be convenient for me to have a repair person come to my home. I gave him a time, and honestly a very limited block of it. He said he needed to check to see if it was possible and asked if he could call me right back. He called in the next 5 mins to confirm that he could have someone there in my time frame. The Repair man came was professional on time and knowledgeable. He got right to work completed the job in 30 mins. and then gave me some advice on the maintenance for my garage door. I was very pleased with the company and the individual who did the work. I would recommend them without hesitation.

My garage door was making horrible metal on metal screeching noises. The service technician arrived within the agreed window, and called 30 minutes before showing. He identified a portion of the track that was not in alignment and fixed it, and lubricated the spring, hinges, and wheels. He also explained in detail how I should lubricate the door myself twice a year. I only paid for the trip charge, which included a $10 Angie's List discount.

My first call was ansered promptly by Trish Myers (on first or second ring), she took my information which she relayed to her husband Bob. He called me a few hours later to get more details of work needed (I had no clue as to what needed fixing) and where I lived. We made an appt for a day and time that was good for both our schedules. Once he arrived for the first visit as soon as I lifed the door by hand he immediately found several things that needed adjusting and he and his partner made those adjustments (adjusted springs and fixed lifting? wires on the roller) before we even discussed what needed to be done for the opener. This allowed me to lift the door by hand and have it stay in the up posotion without using a prop to keep it from dropping (which I had been doing for many months). He then made his suggestion for the liftmaster which was belt driven as opposed to chain driven.? I was and still am clueless with mechanical talk but he made me feel comfortalbe to the point where I felt he had my best interest in mind not only for the immediate problem but for future sale/worth of the house itself. Again we made an appt that was convenient for both our schedules,which was a little far out for me but I'm a patient person. In fact he came out on a Sunday morning to complete the job sooner than I was anticipating. Bob and his partner arrived promptly, were friendly, professional and very tolerant of all my questions.The work was done quicky with care to ensure everything was working properly before they left. He gave me instructions on how to care for the joints by oiling them twice a year (how to do it) and also taped his card and contact information above the push button in the garage in case I had any questions or problems to call him anytime. I was very satisfied with the work performed.

Excellent experience from start to finish. I read "Angie's List" reviews and called Quality Door Service based on their numerous favorable reviews. I asked Quality Door for their advice on what opener to install and they provided a fair price (which included a $10 Angie's List discount) and we scheduled an appointment time. On the appointed day and time, they called ahead as promised, and showed up on time to do the installation. They installed the wiring and Liftmaster opener all within 1 hour. The two installers were kind and answered several questions I had, including a request to program the remote code into our automobile push button electronic system, which they kindly did, and verifying the door would automatically retract if it came in contact with an object or person, which they personally demonstrated. I am very pleased with the installation experience and of course, having the convenience of a garage door opener.

Easy to contact and make an appointment. On time and very pleasant. Knew what they were doing and took the time to explain basic maintenance for the homeowner.

I was told that my garage door springs needed to be replaced. I called Quality Door Service and they showed up in about 2 hours. They were extremely professional, knowledgeable and helpful. The technician inspected the springs and gave me an absolutely honest opinion saaying they were just fine and that I would be wasting my money to have it replaced. He recommended that the rollers be replaced as they were rusting. He also serviced the door with lubricant and got it to be much quieter. He also showed me how to do this so I can do it on a periodic basis as needed. All in all, this is an excellent company to work with and they will try to save you money if they can. I certainly recommend them.

I'm babysitting a rental property for some friends who are working as expats in Europe. These guys are deliciously hands-off - I just call them, give them my credit card number and they meet with the tenants and sort out the details. Their response time is fantastic - usually the next day. Their rates are also very reasonable. DEFINITELY recommend.

It went well, we had no issues. We set the appointment date, they arrived on time and did the service. We were pleased overall.

This is a very professional and competent company. They took our call for help on a Saturday and promised to come the next day (Sunday) if other jobs ahead of us were completed. Bob and his assistant came out on Sunday afternoon and replaced the broken cable. He assured us we did not need to replace the rest of the apparatus at this time. The door has worked beautifully since they completed the job. I would call them back and can recommend them without reservation.

They showed up on time, cleared the area they needed to work, repaired the door, put the stuff back and cleaned up all debris. They also provided a very short course on garage door periodic maintenance. It all took less than an hour.

We got the impression the company was a sole proprietorship because the owner took all the calls and did the work. The only impact that had was that he wanted to schedule our appointment when he was in our area, so it took a few calls to lock it in. The owner was very pleasant. The result was excellent. Our garage doors have never been so quiet - the sound difference was dramatic. They operate well also. I wouldn't hesitate to use him again. Just be prepared to be a little flexible on appointments, which wasn't a problem for us since it wasn't an emergency.

I bought this Angie's List Big Deal in October 2012 because my garage door made a lot of noise during operation. I called the company on Jan 21 and Bob Myers came out on Jan 23. He replaced the rollers and did tune up of the garage door. The door is working really well without much noise. He gave some excellent tips about keeping the door springs and hinges oiled. He even left the remaining lubricant for me yo use later. I really like Bob. I will call them for all my future garage door needs and recommend them to my family and friends.
