Quality Door Service

Purchased a Big Deal for Quality Door Service to inspect the garage door. They checked the operation to make sure everything was working properly. Lubricated chain and track. They are great, I have used them many times in the past.

We had replaced our springs, and they were not put on properly. QUALITY DOOR SERVICE adjusted the springs, and they also adjusted the door, put on new rollers, and everything works great now. He came out on Sunday afternoon and was very professional and nice during the appointment. I felt he went above and beyond for me and they did a great.

I called on Wednesday afternoon while I was at work, explained that the opener stopped working in mid-open. He directed me to a few trouble shooting options to perform when I got home. When I got home I called him (7pm) and he answered and asked me a few more quesitons. It was not possible for me to fix on my own at this point. My work schedule is unpredictable so we set up a time and he said he would call me to confirm. He sent a technician who was on time and courteous. The opener issue was most likely an electronic motherboard. I asked if we should just replace the unit and if it made sense to do so. He said that internal electronic stuff was a couple of hundred dollars to troubleshoot and replace, which is quite reasonable, but I really did not want to take the time. He had the exact unit in his truck. Great. It was replaced in about an hour and I was able to get back to work and not worry about this issue any longer....this is really important to me. I did not ask for the Angie's list discount after the service. I was very pleased.

I decided to get an opener for my second garage door. I originally called another company to do the job; however, something told me to call one more company. When I called Bob, I realized that the original company was going to charge me almost double the price. I scheduled an appointment with Bob and his team. They arrived on time, and finished within an hour. They even took the time to do some recommended maintenance on the existing garage door/opener at no extra charge. Everything worked great. I would and have already highly recommended this company to others.

Made the appointment and he was on time and did a great job. Knew what he was doing.

Shawn was on time and very professional. He completed the job in about an hour, like promised. Was very helpful in explaining to my wife how we should do maintenance on our door. Our springs were not the standard size, so the price was a little more than quoted by the owner. But gave a discount since we found them on Angie's list, and the final price was very acceptable for the work performed. Door is now much quieter, and runs smoother. We will call them back for any future need.

The large metal spring on our garage door snapped on a Monday, late afternoon, leaving me stranded. After I read Angie's List reviews, I decided to contact Quality Door Service on the basis of their "A" rating. I placed a call at 8:15 p.m. that Monday evening, expecting to leave a voicemail, but amazingly Bob answered the phone. I explained the situation, and Bob told me that Sean would be at our house the following morning between 10:00 a.m. and Noon. Tuesday morning, as promised, Sean called me with a "heads up" that he'd be at our house in 20 minutes. Sean arrived 20 minutes later and proceeded to replace the spring and the wheels. He was efficient and neat, and even made friends with our large dog, who loved the attention! Following that, Sean sprayed the door hinges and gave me helpful maintenance tips, and noted that the company's website sends "time to spray the hinges" e-mail reminders twice a year. The amount I paid for parts and labor, $200, was the one advertised on Angie's List, so there were no surprises. Sean was great! I would definitely use Quality Door Service again. Honest work, fair price, personable employees: Quality Door Service hit the trifecta. A+++++

Bob was very punctual and did a great job of explaining basic garage door maintenance. He was also very knowledgeable about my particular garage door units answering all my questions about the units and expected life expectancy of the units. I would definitely recommend his services to others.

I was very pleased with their service. Had garage door system failure on Sunday, spoke to Bob (the owner) who said they could get someone to my house on Monday morning (it was not an emergency as we were able to get all of our cars out of the garage before the final failure that rendered the garage door unable to be opened so I did not push for same day). However, Bob was able to have me describe a few things in the garage and was able to diagnose what the main issue was. Shawn showed up Monday morning on time and was very professional and very helpful. He did the work very quickly and even went over how to properly maintain the garage door system. What I appreciated the most was that they did not try to up-sell at all. Our existing old clunky garage door opener shaft (the beam that connects the opener to the garage door that houses the belt/chain/screw) had completely warped due to the spring failure. I was actually thinking about just biting the bullet and also buying a new fancy garage door opener but they said to let them fix the spring issue first and try to straighten the door opener shaft as well as the bent (but not torn) support beam before spending extra money on a new opener. When Shawn called me back to the garage when he was done everything was straightened out and looked like it did before the issue. We ran the door up and down and everything looked good. I was very impressed and will probably call them again once I finally do need a new garage door opener.

The installation went faultess. They inspected the entire garage door assembly. Included 2 remotes that they programmed for incar use. Also included were sensors to protect the garage door from coming down on someone/something.

Arrived on time and performed work quickly.

Scheduling was easy. Doors were serviced and work very well, like new. Great value.

They made an analysis of the garage door mechanism and presumably look at everything. Three weeks later, the garage door failed, and when they returned, it cost me another $150.00 to replace a plastic gear. Not sure why they didn't look at the plastic gear during the original "deal". I may or may not call them. Not sure. I certainly don't feel good about the experience.

Shawn, was great. He removed our old unit and installed our new Liftmaster 3280. He took time to show us how it worked and how to maintain it. They also replaced all the rollers. Great Service.

The spring on my garage door broke while both cars were in the garage so we were stranded. Went straight to Angie's List and picked Quality Door Service because of the excellent reviews and am so glad I did. They were able to get a technician to my house in about 2 hours. He arrived on time and replaced the spring and the wheels. Also tightened hinges and lubricated everything. Gave me advice on how to lubricate the appropriate parts every 6 months to ensure continued good operation. Couldn't be happier with the service I received.

Quality Door Service will be the first to call for any garage door problem. Very satisfied and highly recommended I will share this company to my family and friends.

I have had trouble with both garage doors / openers. I finally purchased new openers which I plan to install myself but (long story short) the door that opens the side with my car would not open today, even manually. Called and talked to Bob. He sent out Sean, and we discovered several issues, one that kept the door from opening, another that was causing it to hang at times. I'm replacing the actual openers myself, but Sean replaced all of the old loud metal rollers with new nylon rollers. He gave me sound advice on maintaining the doors. He tested the springs, and since they are fine he didn't try to sell me something I didn't need, and I appreciated that. Another huge plus was coming out on relatively short notice on a very rainy day. I would recommend QDS to other Angie's List members.

The service was quick and professional. I could not have been more pleased. Sean and Terry (I'm almost positive that was his name) told and showed my husband what went wrong. They got it back on track and made some adjustments so that the cable wouldn't have as much slack in it.

It went very well, Bob returned my call very quickly and came out the same day and the work was done in less than an hour. Bob had his assistant give me Garage Door 101 training on maintaining by garage doors health. That was the first time anyone took the time to tell me how to treat my poor garage door, and I really appreciate it. I would highly recommend Quality Door Service.

My garage door came off the track, so I called Quality Door. They quickly called me back after my first call and scheduled an appointment for the following day. They gave me a 2 hour window that they would come during and said they would call me before they were headed over. They did indeed call me before they came over, so I left work and went home and met them. They fixed my garage door quickly. They did some maintenance as well and my garage door is much quieter and smoother going up and down. Great service!
