Quality Door Service

For some reason things break late on Friday afternoon for me; so is this time. The garage door will not open even manually. It was about 5:30 on Friday evening. Quality Door Service did 'tune up' on this door couple of years ago. I had good experience with them at that time. No nonsense and professionalism all the way through. So, without a second thought I sent message to them through AL website. I got a phone call from Bob within 15 minutes and gave me appointment on the next day (Saturday) 9 to 10 am. What a blessing that I don't have to wait till Monday that would have meant baking my cars in the sun over the weekend. Showed up on time as per appointment. Diagnosed the issue and recommended replacing the broken spring as well as the second one + all the rollers. I have been using wrong lubricant for past couple of years that may have contributed to the failure. So, I accepted the offer. Interestingly, I did not mention the big deal on AL for the same service. But he gave it me anyway. He could have easily overcharged me but he did not. He completed the work in 30 minutes. Showed me how to do periodic lubrication. To boot, inspected a second garage door and lubricated it at no charged. Quality Door Service is everything homeowner looks for in a service provider. They are competent in what they do, honest, punctual and provide service at reasonable prices.

He arrived on time, showed me how to do some maintenance myself, explained why the rollers he was using were better, and checked out an issue I was having with the door sticking which he resolved with some adjustments. I have not had the sticking problem since.

My garage door was opening and closing by itself. I called Bob and he replaced my circuit board and replaced the garage door rollers to quiet it's operation. He also suggested what to do to prevent the circuit board from malfunctioning again. The price was fair and the work was excellent. Angie's List discount was applied.

Last night my wife bumped in my garage door, bent some panels and knocked it off alignment and off the tracks. A friend of mine was able to get the rollers back in the tracks and close the door enough so that the dogs wouldn't escape. However, the door couldn't be opened and wasn't closed properly and I needed to fix it fast because tomorrow I am going out of town for a few days. This morning I called the provider and I was told that someone would be at my house between 2 and 4 pm to fix my door. I got a call around 12 from Sean, who told me that he would anticipate given the urgency. He got to my house around 12:30. He was extremely polite and professional and took care of the door. After he went away, I realized that th door needed a little bit more fine adjustment and called him. Within an hour he came back and fixed it. He quoted me $89 and took off $10 because I'm an Angie's list member. EXCELLENT experience!

Bob the owner was really great, he was on time and really great to do business with. He replaced our broken spring plus the other spring (as they have to be replaced in pairs). He then replaced the rollers on both our garage doors and serviced them to make sure they both work well. We will definitely use his company again.

Our garage door came of the track and I called Quality Door Service a little before 7:00 P.M. They were able to send someone out the very next day. Bob came and adjusted the door and did not try to sell us anything additional. He honored the coupon and it only cost us $79.00. I highly recommend using this service.

They were very accommodating to our schedule and performed all tasks requested. Along the way, the technician explained what he did and provided insight on the garage door maintenance. I am very satisfy with their service.

It went very well. I spoke to Bob on the phone and he was very friendly and courteous. We scheduled to have someone over the next door. Sean and his assistant came out the next day and was professional and respectful. He answered all my questions thoroughly and showed me how to use the different features of our new garage system. I had a great experience with Quality Door Service and recommend them to everyone!

I now know more than I ever wanted to know about garage doors/openers and these guys were just so great. They have my repeat business.

I ordered a $200 deal from Angie's List for the company to come and replace the springs and wheels on my grage door, which had come off track and had, I thought, ruined a spring and the wheels. The worker showed up THE NEXT DAY, on a Saturday, and fixed the problem in less than 20 minutes. I was pleased already at this point with the service and professionalism of the company. Monday, when I got a call from the owner and he explained that I had paid for services I did not need and he told me a check was in the mail for the difference, I was floored. You just don't see honesty like that these days. I will use these guys for everything I possibly can from now on, and I will refer everyone I know to them.

I recently bought a house, and the only access to the garage was through the garage door - with no outside release installed. So if the power were to go out, our cars would be stuck inside until the power came back on; and since our circuit box is in the garage, if the garage circuit were to ever be tripped, there would be no way to get into the garage to reset the breaker. So I called Quality Door Service, they found the part within 5 minutes of my call, and came out the next day to install it; they arrived exactly when scheduled (and gave me a courtesy call when they had finished their previous job and were on their way), were done in 15 minutes, and that included a complimentary lubrication of my rails and springs. Also worth noting: they didn't just install and then leave; they had me run through the process of working the release, opening and closing the garage door, and reconnecting to the garage door opener - to make sure it worked, and to make sure that I would know how to operate it after they left. Great job, great service, and one less thing for me to worry about.

I called quality door service at 7:30 PM on a Thursday. Even though their hours say 7 AM to 7 PM, they still answered the phone when I called at 7:30 PM. They scheduled me on very short notice for 7:30 AM the next morning. A knowledgeable technician showed up and replaced my torsion springs as well as all my rollers very quickly and conveniently. The technician cleaned up his mess and instructed me on how to care for my garage door for longevity and endurance. My garage door now operates more quickly and much more quietly! Service was quick, convenient, low-priced, and friendly! Definitely call quality door service if you need to have your garage door repaired in the greater Houston area!!!!!

I called the installer of my existing garage door opener and they diagnosed the problem without even looking at it and told me I needed a new unit...$350. I called Quality Door Service and the call went to voicemail. I didn't leave a message, but Bob called me back shortly. He said he would come look at my opener the next morning and not charge me to look at it. He showed up promptly, quickly fixed the issue and even gave me a free remote. He is a honest man and I appreciate his integrity. Great experience!!

I did not realize how noisy the garage doors had become! They operate as if they are new again. The service tech showed me how to perform basic maintenance and what to look for. He showed me the old rollers and the new ones before he put them in. I was extremely pleased and impressed with their work.

The owner scheduled around my toddler's schedule which was really nice and they and they came the next day to do the repairs. The man who came to fix the garage door arrived on time and fixed the door within a few minutes. The repair was very easy and he didn't try to sell me something I didn't need. I would use and recommend this company anytime.

I bought a deal for oil/lube and replacement of rollers with commercial grade rollers for $99,00 through Angies List. I also needed to replace my center springs as one of them was broken. They only charged me 100.00 dollars extra to replace both springs. Bob the owner called me to schedule an appt. after I bought the deal. We set up a date for the following week. On the day of the appt. two guys came out right on time. They were courteous, professional and quick! They only took about 30 minutes to change the springs, rollers and oil and lube . They even showed me how to lube all the hinges and chain. I would definitely use them again, and recommend them to anyone in need of service for a garage door.

All I can say is WOW!!! I see why this Company and Bob have an A rating from so many people!!! My garage door was working fine until, one day a week or so again, I started having intermittent problems with it not wanting to close...as if something was blocking the path of the safety eyes. Then, it wouldn't close at all. So what did I do first...I first checked the internet, of course. Found a u-tube video that described the problem and I followed its instructions. BUT, it didn't solve the problem. The door would still not close, even though my safety eyes were properly aligned and I thought pretty clean. Then I checked Angie's list for a qualified provider, saw all the A rating reviews on Quality Door Service, and gave them a call. In 3 rings, Bob picked up the phone and gave me advice to better clean the safety eyes and bottom of the garage door. He told me that this is a common problem and if I remove the cover of the safety eyes and wipe them with a damp cloth to ensure there is zero specks of dust, cobwebs, etc. blocking the eyes and then if I take a broom and brush the bottom of the garage door to ensure there are no leaves, cobwebs, etc. that might block the path, that this solves 90% of people's problems and they don't end up calling him back. I was skeptical to say the least...hadn't I already done this?...or at least close to this? I thanked Bob, but not before I saw what his availability was like to come out to my house the next couple days...yes, I was very skeptical. I went home that evening, followed the procedures he gave me and WOW!!!...it worked. No more problems! And as Bob predicted, I didn't call him back to make an appointment. Thank you, Bob! When something real goes wrong with my garage doors that I can't fix, I now know who to call! THIS is the definition of GREAT customer service and Bob has earned my recommendation to anyone I come across.

They arrived on time and I was impressed by their knowledge. I was not impressed with our current garage door opener so I asked for a quote and it was installed and upgraded the same day. Just great service!
